Ok, so I know I have one. I can feel it. Its not causing me any major discomfort, I can kind of feel just a tingly senstation every now and then. Its really not bothering me at all pain-wise. I've had a feel around and its definitely there, but I don't know if I actually have to do anything about it unless it becomes really uncomfortable? Do they commonly resolve themselves over time? What do you think?
I also got with my second pg. It's been 17 months and they still have not resolved. They do not irritate me at all but I can feel them if I wash there. I have used the creams you get and I have asked my GP about it. They say that sometimes they do go away and others don't. If they get really painful or enlarged they can do something surgically.
If its a roid then sometimes you can just pop them back in yourself. If its new and hard sometimes they are blood clots that can take a few weeks to fix. Either way drink heaps of water and NO straining!
i had one during pregnancy which my dr said not to worry about, sounds alot like yours too... wasn't sore or anything just *there*... the during birth it got massive tho (well i thought, the nurse said it was only tiny, so I'd hate to see/feel what a big one would be like!) ><;; I tried the cream and it worked. Plus, yeah... don't strain! I did that a couple of times and the little bugger popped right back out again.
They can resolve themselves but if it starts to get uncomfortable I recommend Proctosedyl. You can get it over the counter at the chemist. Hope it goes away for you x They're horrible buggers
My doctor gave me some medical gloves and told me to fill them with water and freeze them. Once frozen break off a finger and insert it into your bottom. If you do this every day the ice will shrink the roid and help it disappear.
I had a nasty one when I was 8 months, the GP popped (lanced) it. ahhh, the relief.
I've also had them pop themselves, which is a bit worrying when there's what feels like bucketloads of blood coming from your butt. Definately see your pharmacist for the strongest stuff you can use if they get sore, drink lots of water, eat lots of fibre and have good "poo position" when going to the loo (back straight, knees slightly raised, boobs thrust (like you're reading a newspaper) and push your belly out ONLY, don't push anything else...
Thanks girls. Charming topic isn't it! From what I can gather it hasn't exactly 'popped' out yet IYKWIM? I can feel that there is a lump just inside, but there is nothing hanging out as yet. So hopefully it will resolve. I've had a cold and have been coughing and blowing my nose A LOT lately so I think Ive just had excess pressure down there which has probably contributed. I'm dreading my next poo though - I know this is going to sound bad, but its close to 7 days since my last bowel movement but this isn't unusual for me. I have IBS and swing from being constipated to excessive diarrhea - the last time I pooped I 'cleaned out' so to speak, so it usually takes me a few days (or more) to recover. I'm just waiting for my body to do what it needs to do. More fibre required for sure though.
Hope it recovers without getting worse. Hope that next time you 'go' it doesn't hurt too much as well. I find that if I'm sick with coughing etc like you, mine do reappear or get worse. God they're awful!
Poor you they are nasty buggers. I had one at 20 weeks. I made sure I had the softest stools possible, although how you do that with IBS I don't know, kept it clean & it resolved itself over a couple of weeks. The GP gave me a cream but I let it do it's thing naturally as each day it went down a little.
Good luck!
Well ladies I finally got some relief tonight...from the constipation really. After 8 days of no action I was starting to feel really unwell & uncomfortable so I went to the chemist for some advice. The lady there was lovely. She recommended a stool softener and a mild laxative and within a few hours it worked. And it doesn't feel like I've pushed the 'roid out if you like so I'll just keep an eye on things. Sweet sweet relief though LOL
I got 1 when i was preg with DD, no pain or discomfort so the midwife and doc told me not to worry about it.. and now its turned into a 'skin tag' and its permanent unless i get it surgically removed!!
I strongy suggest getting on top of it, even if its not causing you any discomfort etc...
