High Risk Pregnancy ~ General Discussion and Support

Nice to hear from you Csab, hope the next u/s is clearer, I have has to go back for the heart all three times, don't mind too much as it's always nice to see them moving around.

Beema congrats on the third trimester!!! It's a big milestone for you.

I had a checkup this morning, bubs has gone posterior, I threw up last night so I think that's when it happened, was probably the movement that made me sick. My back is killing me, I will have to check the spinning babies website. I have no idea if I am having contractions or if it's just where bubs is lying. I am happy to still be here just wish it was an easier journey!

WTG blackrose, I am so so proud of you hun, FT tomorrow!!!! I can only imagine how difficult the last few weeks have been for you, I am so thrilled that you have made it this far and you have done an awesome job DD was posterior and I have to say the back pain in labour was horrid, maybe look into what your options may be, I think you can have water injections in your back, a hot shower on the back is good, and I found labouring on my knees leaning over the end of the bed really helped

Great to hear from you csab, hopefully your next US is more clear I seriously hope this baby decides to turn very soon, as I almost permeanently have a foot wedged in my cervix and the feeling is horrible N isn't well isn't well, she has another respiratory infection, she has been back on the steroids for the last three days on top of her other meds and we haven't seen any improvement yet and I really ummed and ahed about taking her back to the Dr today, and she has an audible wheeze that you can hear from the other side of the room, but she doesn't have chest recessions and only a slight neck tug so not back enough that she needs to be back in hospital on O2. She isn't eating any solid foods, not even her favourites or chippies lucky I managed to get her to drink a small smoothie, which was banana, yogurt and milk We will see how she goes overnight and if no improvement it will be back to the Dr's in the morning. DH offered to stay home with her tomorrow, and I think I will take him up on it, the last two days by myself has really exhausted me, I am not able to rest or sit very much and with her not sleeping during the day (30min today) I am not getting a break and need to rest.

Almost 36 weeks for you MamaSpice

No "exciting" news from me, which I hope it stays that way for a while yet
    Take care all xxoo

    Hi all,

    Just a short update.

Have everyone better but poor Little V is still having a hard time. I think I may even be run down with worry as have a terrible headache atm.

Beema - Hope Little N gets better soon hun for you too, it just never seems to end does it? Hope little flicker is behaving. Get some rest when you can sweet. hugs Little V is only eating tiny bits, but nothing seems to stay in for long with it coming out either end. If she isnt any better tomorrow, will be taking her back to the pead. Have already spoken to him, even though there isnt all that much they can do for gastro.

BR - How is everything going? Its getting so close for you, well done. hugs

Crumpet - Lol, thats ok, hope your well too hun.

Ohhh and I made a poll yesterday to see what everyone thinks this one will be. Stuffed it up though and cant fix it.

WTG Black Rose!!!! I am so happy for you, I hope it continues to ramp out!! Sending the eviction notice to your little bubba

Labour Vibes coming your way and have an amazing birthing experience, sooo looking forward to your BA

Csab I hope Miss V is feeling better very soon poor little poppet DD is finally turned a corner and ate a little bit of yogurt this morning and some spaghetti tonight, which is massive considering she has had hardly a thing to eat or drink since Sunday. Her cough is still horrid, but we have stop the steroids for now so she is just on the AB, Ventolin and Flixotide.

Have a great weekend all, I'm off to the couch for the night, but will be keeping an eye out for a BA!!!

    Hi all,

Blackrose - GL hun, by the sounds of it your DH needs to cancel the inspection. Sending lots of VBAC vibes. Certainly a clever little one waiting until FT. Cant wait to hear your BA. hugs

Beema - V seems to be getting over it now, she seems to be on the mend. Have also now tried her on Soy milk to see how she likes it, and she doesnt seem to hand it back to me, but is still due to getting over everything she is still not overly interested in eating a great deal. I really hope Little N gets better quickly, Im glad she is starting to eat something now. Sounds like a horrible cough she has. V is on the flexotide and ventolin until Im guessing winter is over and the warmer weather starts. Her pead is trying to keep her as healthy as he can by doing this. Hows your little flicker going and of course how are you going?

Well as for me, still having MS, I actually thought that I was coming down with something again, but is definately the ms nausea. Ive had it the whole way through, but seemed to get worse once I hit the 2nd tri. Anyway I guiess I should be off to do some housework. hugs all.

    Hi all

Just popped on to update as I haven't been on here fro ages, sorry

And the news - BLACKROSE, wow - how exciting, I am stalking now, hope all going well.

Mamaspice - just saw your ticker, wow where did the time go, glad all going well.

Csab - hope the MS improves soon.

    Beema -

afm - saw the Ob on Wed, all still good. had a quick reassurance scan from the registrar, she tried to hazard a guess at the sex of bubs, I think that was a waste of time, I tried to tell her boys and girls all look pretty much the same at 13 weeks. I will wait until the 18 week scan to find out.
Getting sick of having my appt's in the local cattle market/hospital, it is so busy. I have to walk so far from finding a parking spot to the hossy and then wait on average 2 hours to see the dr, so asked if i could see the Ob's at the smaller hospital up the mountain, Ob said he visits there once a fortnight, and he will see me in his lunch hour I can then park with relative ease, go into a nice waiting room, grab a cuppa and be seen within the about 15 mins, much happier.
As far a MS I am feeling great, seems to have gone, this preg feels different to the others, so it may have a winkie this time after having a run of girls
I was naughty the other day, saw a almost new bassinet and stand in the Op shop, it was so pretty, and after what happened with my daughter, refused to buy anything early again, but it was so reasonably priced ($40) and money going to a good cause (cancer council), that I bought it. A really good friend of mine is going to keep it in storage for me, then if anything goes wrong, I don't have to face it again.
Got my booking in appt next week, unfortunately back down to the cattle market again.

    Take care all

I am still having contractions, didn't get much sleep last night, the contractions havent stopped and are getting stronger this morning. Its different now that I have made it to term I don't have to rush to the hospital, so I am going to stay home as long as I can where I can be comfy! It seems like the labour is more 'normal' than the two pre term ones, its progressing a lot slower.

Beema hope you got your rest on the couch.

Csab I had MS all the way through with both my girls, I struggled to eat a lot which only made it worse.

PS Dh is still in denial!

Beema that's great news about your ob supporting a breech birth!!! Sorry the ECV didn't work but at lease the foot is out of your cervix now.

Mammaspice hope your check up went well.

Crumpet hope your cervix is looking good.

AFM the ctx lasted for four days but never really got strong enough or close enough for it to progress I just ended up tired grumpy. I have made it 38 weeks though, so not really high risk now which is great. Had a checkup and now I just have to wait.

    everyone!

Beema, awesome news hun! So great your ob will support breech birth.

black_rose, how frustrating! I bet you are at the point now where you just want it to happen So good for you to reach term though

Aww, your baby shower will be so special Crumpet

Hi csab, butterflyforever, jennajayen and anyone else I've forgotten.

Well AFM all is going good here. My Ob appointment went really well. He is very happy to comply with my CS birth plan. Had a scan and CTG today. Bub is measuring 3.9kg already at 37 weeks mg: And he has the cutest chubby cheeks CTG went well although they had me on it for nearly 2 hours as bubs was asleep and they wanted to see some good elevations in his heart rate.

I have a birth date, which is co-incidently my dads birthday - hopefully a good omen
I might keep it secret for now but lets just say I'm going to be a mummy of 2 in less than 2 weeks time

Yay Mamaspice what wonderful news on having a date for your c/s and being your dads b'day as well. What a wonderful size your bub is and at 37wks. lol. I cant wait to hear your birth announcement and to see how accurate the measurements were in regards to weight. How exciting hun. hugs

Blackrose - Omgoodness I hope those contractions start up again soon for you. With one of my pgcy's I had contractions the week before labour started exactly, they stopped and the following week started up again into true labour. GL hun, we are all so excited for you too. Yay for hitting the 38wk mark too. hugs

Crumpet - September isnt too far away now hun, I have every faith in you that your going to make it way past September. I sooo cant wait to hear how your u/s goes next week. hugs

Well I was very crampy last night, not sure if it had anything to do with how I got up from the recliner last night as I ended up with this sharp pain in my side when I did. I just tossed and turned all night from the crampiness. At least bubs decided to give me some reassurance and boot me a little bit. I was getting abit worried.

    Beema still thinking of you!

Mamaspice yay for 38 weeks were are getting there!

Crumpet good luck for your scan tomorrow.

I am still here no sign of a baby yet, 39 weeks today and I see my ob tomorrow afternoon. I am getting random ctx but that's all, and bubs is really low so it hurts to sit on sone chairs.

Beema, how did everything go? Hope you're okay hun

Good luck with your scan tomorrow crumpet!

Blackrose, yay for 39 weeks! Hopefully your little one decides he/she's ready to come soon. How far over will your Ob let you go for vbac? Will you consider a S&S at your visit tomorrow if everything is looking favourable?

AFM, I'm just plodding along. Got to the stage where I'm not sleeping well at night. It's so cruel isn't it! Lol. I have my weekly CTG monitoring on friday. Last week bub had me stuck there on the CTG for 2 hours because he was sleeping the whole time and not co-operating, cheeky thing
I'm looking forward to having him in my arms next week
