    Good luck today Crumpet

I'm a stalker of this thread One day I'll come in and share my story, though it's unlikely that we will have another pregnancy. I just wanted to let you know that you're all inspirational, and I'm cheering you on quietly

I had a blah day yesterday, had about 4 people tell me I look ready to pop and that I will go early. Like I need to here that! Yes I feel like I am over it this week but I need bubs to hang in there!! Not sure that will happen though, it feels like the head is starting to engage and the bh are happening during the day not painful but just enough to make it feel like my body is preparing for labour, might have to go back to the ob earlier.
How are you feeling Black_rose? have your BH settled again? I've been getting told I look like I'm about to pop as well

Good luck Crumpet, I hope all goes smoothyl

How are you today Black_rose? I hope things have settled

AFM ~ MIL said I am nesting bascially have been for three days... I am planning that it is just me trying to get a few things done now, rather than in a 10 weeks time
OB appointment tomorrow, another cervix check, last chance for a stitch but I feel that my length should be good this week, not sure why just have a feeling, even with all the BH's ramping up. Still getting the timing of the Nif right, have to do it earlier int he day as 4pm is too late, so going to try 2pm today to see if that stops it more efficiently. Friday night was brilliant, my belly was so soft and relaxed it was amazing Last two nights not so much

Must run - well not run exactly xxoo

No running beema! I was nesting at around 24 weeks too, I figured it was easier to get it all done then and if bubs comes later it's all ready anyway. Hope you can work out the best time to take the nef for the bh to stay under control.

Thanks girls for all your thoughts, had a bad weekend, not bh but really weird back aches, not spd so I wondering if it's the way bubs is lying. It happens towards the end of the day, and my belly aches too, might have to see if I can have a checkup this week. We were planning a day trip yesterday but cancelled it jic as dh was worried. The bh have come back this morning so I am resting on the couch with dd.

When is your next Ob appointment Blackrose?

I had really strange waves of pain on saturday morning. Sorry for the TMI factor but I felt like I needed to go to the loo so I sat down on the toilet and started getting really bad pains in my bottom that kind or radiated around into my lower tummy. Real achy crampy buring pains. It was very ouchy and I had to stand up and lean forward against the vanity to make it more bareable. Anyway after a bit or walking around the pains subsided but boy were they painful. I was starting to wonder if I was in labour (I've never laboured before so have no idea what to expect with contractions).
Wonder if it's my body starting to get into practice?

Other than that, all is well. I have my growth scan on Friday so it will be interresting to see whether bub is cephalic for sure, or still breach.

My next appt is tuesday week, my pains are kinda like that too, mostly in my back but not constant, its not muscular and not like contractions or bh so at a bit of a loss.

Hi everyone hope everyone is baking or resting comfortably

I hope the stitch went well Crumpet

Black_rose and MamSpice, I hope you both get some answer for what is causing the back pain or it subsides for you soon, yours do sound like prelabour MamSpice, would have freaked me out My lower back is sore, but I am pretty sure that it is the pelvic instability.

    AFM ~
    OB appointment went pretty great!!!
Cervix was stable at 3.6 cm - we got past the suture stage and I am now on medical managment for the remainder of my pregnancy. For now we are not planning fortnightly cervical lengths unless the BH's change or something doesn't feel right.
    Dopplers were good
    Fluid Levels looking stable

She also did a growth scan and bub is measuring on track, head measured 25 weeks, leg 25 weeks 4 days, abdominal 23 week 3 days and weighing in at a beautiful 764grams :bliss:

The only downer was Flicker being back in a breech position, kneeling and feet going in and out of my cervix and I know about that as I am often getting kicked there, I was hoping it was some punches

I have to keep making adjustments to the Nifedipene to try and get the timing right, if I get BH's in the mornings to take another dose.

Back in 2 weeks for my next checkup, so the plan is that everything will be nice and settled for a few more weeks
Take care all off to bed early tonight DD isn't well and threw up on me when I picked her up from daycare

Crumpet hope the stitch has gone well and that you are resting.

Beema sending you spinning vibes, turn flicker! Great news about your cervix too. I hope miss N is feeling better, the same thing happened with dd2, she came home went to sleep threw up another two times but now she is fine.

AFM 34 weeks today!!! So I have reached my next mini goal. The pains I was feeling in my back has gone, so I think bubs was posterior. I am feeling movement in my lower belly and pelvis again. The bh are not too bad but I feel all crampy so I think it won't be long now it feels like my body is really getting ready to labour.

Mammaspice I hope you are feeling better no more aches.

    hi girls!

sorry i havnt caught up, im lagging behind big time!!

hope ur all travelling along ok, doesnt look like there has been much excitement which is a good thing i rekon!!

    so my stitch went well.

OB is really happy with things, said it was a good stitch which was nice to hear!!
i came home last night becasue they were only monitoring me every 6-8 hrs and that was prob coz thats when my meds were due, and i was soooo uncomfy i just wanted to be home, OB was ok with it but has given me a list of strict instructions to follow whixh is fine with me!

im on 20mg of nefedipine every 8 hrs for the next week and then some antibiotics as well, more as a precation seeing im showing no signs of infection at this stage.. we were told the first 24-48 hrs were crutial in terms of infection and im nearly at that......

have to have a scan next week and see my OB next week but until then im couch or bed bound taking it super easy!

beema-great news on ur cervix hun thats fantastic!!

Woo Hooo, congrats on 34 weeks black_rose, passing another great milestone!!! What is your next mini goal?

DD seems improved this morning and wasn't sick again overnight, I am waiting to see if she eats as to whether I will take her into daycare she has has a small amount of milk from her cup and a small piece of cheese, a few extra hours at home in the morning will be ok to monitor her, before taking her in if I think she is well enough.

Thanks for the spinning vibes, hopefully it happens soon

Wooo Hooo!! I am so glad your stitch went well Crumpet hopefully smooth sailing for you from here on in, rest up and take care xxoo

That''s good news at Crumpet, its much better to be at home on bedrest even if you are glued to the couch.

Beema my next mini goal is 35 weeks / dd1''s third birthday in a week. It's going to be a hard one mentally as dd1 was born at 34 weeks and with dd2 I was having bh at 34 and in pre term labour at 35. Glad Miss N seems to be better, just saw on fb that my SIL and her three kids have had it too.

We just bought a house today, so its going to be a stressful time as we haven't sold this house yet!

Hey there girls, it's great to hear that you are all going well!
Sorry, we didn't get much time in this thread as Archie decided to be born instead, but he's doing great in Special Care and we are hoping to have him home by next week, yay!
I will be following all of your journeys, all the way to chubby happy healthy babies at home in Mum's arms as I know you have followed ours.
Good luck ladies, I promise, it is ALL worth it when you can finally hold that little one at the end of the journey!

Hi Girls, so nice to hear everyone istravelling so well!

Sally congrats again ont he arrival of little Archer, wow, what an awesome birthweight for 34 weeks, Sally did so well baking

Crumpet, Yay for the stitch going so well. YOu must be so relieved! Hopefully you can relax a bit now and enjoy this pregnancy.

Blackrose, congrats for reaching 34 weeks! Hope all goes well with your DD1's 3rd birthday and congrats on buyting the new house.

Beema, Yay for an awesome cervix length hun! And hope your DD is feeling better.

AFM, no more weirdo pains thank goodness. And I can't remember if I've mentioned that I'm now on Insulin? I've just increased my dose from 4-6 units and I feel my requirements are going to keep steadily going up. I've got my scan on friday so growth and fluid are normal and that the placenta and cord are behaving. Apparently being insulin dependant can accelerate the maturaiton of the placenta so I guess that's something they will want to keep a close eye on as I creep closer to term.
