    Not at all.

Remember most of that would be baby. They say the average weight gain is like 10-15kgs.

ETA: i lost 10kgs in the first trimester and gained it back plus 8 so 18kgs all together.

I have since lost 10kgs but am 2kgs lighter than what i was before i fell pregnant. Its so confusing LOL

I put on 8kgs,most of that was in the 3rd trimester but I was overweight to start with so figure my body used up some "stores".

Within a week I'd lost 10kgs and I'm was/am 4kgs lighter than pre-pregnancy weight by about 3 weeks post birth.

I'm with 1sttime - it's all so confusing as to what's normal and what's not.

    48 to 75kg
    55 to 75kg
    53 to 75kg lol ... I'm consistent

About 10kg of that has been baby, placenta, fluid retention etc and is gone in days. The rest? Lard. I have no idea what I weigh now, I just know that nothing fits

Everybody is different, some people can gain a lot in fluid and some people don't.

    baby #1...I put on 7kg
    baby#2...I put on 7kg
    baby#3...I put on 8kg
    baby#4....I put on 7kg

A friend of mine is a tiny size 6/8 and puts on over 20kg during pregnancy, but goes back to her little size 6/8 not too long after.

How much weight did you put on?

Don't feel bad... DD I started at 75kg and weighed myself at about 32wks and was 95kg

This time round I started at 75kg again, weighed myself at 20wks and was still 75kg!! Benefit if being pg and BF at the same time!

But then weighed myself at 36wks or so and was up around 90kg

But 10 days post natal I'm back down to 80kg already... Guess that's what happens when you're carrying an almost 5kg/11lb baby!!!!

I'm with everyone else, it's so dependant on so many things.

I was/am overweight to begin with so I only put on about 8-9kg with both of my babies, and then by the time they were born, I actually weighed less than I did pre pregnancy (mind you that all came back on pretty quickly, lol!) This pg I was/am at my heaviest and I have already put on 5kg. I'm hoping to slow that down, and possibly even not put on too much more by eating a better diet and exercising gently. But I am very overweight.
My girlfriend was tiny before she had her bub, maybe a size 6-8, and by the time she had him, she'd gained 30+kg. Now, about 6 weeks after he was born, she's lost 20kg of that already. It's a very individual thing. Try not to worry too much. You can do what you have to once baby is here. Meanwhile enjoy your last few weeks of being pg!

1st - Had put on 20kgs by 10 days overdue
    2nd - 24 kgs by 10days overdue
3rd - 20kgs and counting, with 5 wks to go as well!!

It is amazing how much you 'lose' in the first couple of weeks

That's not bad!! I put on around 21-22kg with each of my boys and put on about about 17kg when pg with DD. The weight all fell off each time . I have always had a lowish BMI so I think my body likes to make up for it when pg LOL!

I'm 27 weeks and I jumped on the scales this morning for the first time in weeks.

    Pre-pregnancy I was 72kgs.....
    27 weeks I am 80kgs.

I nearly had heart failure! I suppose its only 8 kgs but I still have 13 weeks left and I have never gone past 86kg with the other 2! Better start eating properly.

I get the impression that for a lot of people, the thinner you are to start with the more you put on. I found some website once that recommended how much you 'should' gain based on your BMI, mine was in the (low) range they recommended a 15+kg gain.
