I'm with everyone else, it's so dependant on so many things.

I was/am overweight to begin with so I only put on about 8-9kg with both of my babies, and then by the time they were born, I actually weighed less than I did pre pregnancy (mind you that all came back on pretty quickly, lol!) This pg I was/am at my heaviest and I have already put on 5kg. I'm hoping to slow that down, and possibly even not put on too much more by eating a better diet and exercising gently. But I am very overweight.
My girlfriend was tiny before she had her bub, maybe a size 6-8, and by the time she had him, she'd gained 30+kg. Now, about 6 weeks after he was born, she's lost 20kg of that already. It's a very individual thing. Try not to worry too much. You can do what you have to once baby is here. Meanwhile enjoy your last few weeks of being pg!

1st - Had put on 20kgs by 10 days overdue
    2nd - 24 kgs by 10days overdue
3rd - 20kgs and counting, with 5 wks to go as well!!

It is amazing how much you 'lose' in the first couple of weeks

That's not bad!! I put on around 21-22kg with each of my boys and put on about about 17kg when pg with DD. The weight all fell off each time . I have always had a lowish BMI so I think my body likes to make up for it when pg LOL!

I'm 27 weeks and I jumped on the scales this morning for the first time in weeks.

    Pre-pregnancy I was 72kgs.....
    27 weeks I am 80kgs.

I nearly had heart failure! I suppose its only 8 kgs but I still have 13 weeks left and I have never gone past 86kg with the other 2! Better start eating properly.

I get the impression that for a lot of people, the thinner you are to start with the more you put on. I found some website once that recommended how much you 'should' gain based on your BMI, mine was in the (low) range they recommended a 15+kg gain.

Up 8kg this pregnancy, started at 60kg and 68kg and 6kg of that has been in the last 8 weeks!

With DD I went from 64-76kg and was 68 post birth But I delivered at 33 weeks so no idea what I would have hit had I gone to FT....... Wow almost the same as you BF When DD was 12 months I had dropped to 58kg and felt too thin and took me months to get back up to 60kg where I felt comfortable

I put on a whopping 30kgs during my pregnancy (I ate like an idiot, though). Probably 80% of the weight I gained during my middle trimester.

I lost 10kgs in the first week after the birth, though - just bub, fluid etc. The rest I have had to diet off and still have another 10kgs to go.

Your weight gain sounds normal to me and just remember that you can gain a heap of fluid in the last couple of weeks - which you will lose very quickly after bub arrives.

I put on 18kg - was 55.4kg when I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks and then weighed in at 73.4kg the day I had bubby.
I lost 13kg of that during the birth and the few days after it and have 5kg to go - that last 5kg must have been all of the Magnum Egos I ate
