Listeria is what causes a really bad type of food poisoning. I think if the machines were dirty and that much of a risk to cause such serious problems they wouldn't be so widely available and everyone would have serious health problems which would have had to be looked into, so people relax! Listeria CAN cause bad food poisoning but not always.....the mother can have no symptoms but the baby can be seriously affected and even die...now the risk of that is low about 1 in 20,000 but it is still there....it's up to you make the informed decision on what risks you are willing to take...
