    Bleeding after sex

Hi I'm a first time mum-to-be so was a little scared when i experienced some bleeding after sex.

I have been doing some research and i see that bleeding is quite normal?

Has anyone else experienced this?? Should i go see my Doctor??

I am only about 3 weeks Preg!!

    Welcome to BB!

I'm no expert but I know that you can get implantation bleeding... not sure what week that can happen though. Pretty sure it's around the 3rd week or so.

    I'm really no help but wishing you a H & H 9 months

    Hi turtle,

I know that when youre pg your cervix is softer so more sensitive and can bleed - and I did experience that a couple of times when I was pg - from then on we had to be really gentle DTD.
I think you should def mention it to your dr though just in case.

    All the best

I def noticed bleeding after sex early on and I bled for 3 weeks which was very scary. I went to emergency and docs and had serveal ultra sounds to monitor the pregnancy. All was well so my suggestion is so you don't worry - see your doc and get ultra sound. Heaps of girls bleeed during pregnancy - there are posts on it and they've had healthy pregnancy's. good luck!

Thanks so much for your words of wisdom...i'm probbaly just being paranoid but it sacred me and my partner!!

i am visiting the Gynocologist on Monday due to a couple of irregular pap smears so will talk to him about it all.

I feel fine and the bleeding has stopped so hopefully everything is OK.

    Hi Turtle
Providing that the bleeding is only light and does not last for more than a day it is normal. If it is worrying you try to make sex a little more gentle.
