I have a tens machine and a fit ball that i use pretty much daily, perfectly safe (as long as you dont do what i did the other night and get stuck bent backwards over the fitball! ) and you dont have to wait for an appointment.
Tams - I'm getting that pain as well, it's horrible when I have to chase after a toddler all day, but I'm pretty sure that for me it's from a pinched nerve, possibly even sciatic pain, as I had a similar thing with DS, though not this early in the pregnancy lol
I was in agony yesterday, and we've only got panadol in the house so I had to keep dosing up on that every 4 hours just to be able to move from the lounge room to the kitchen and toilet and back again when I needed something.
Some of the worst back pain I get is from my kidneys. I went to chiros and everything before I found out what it was and once I had drunk enough water it went away. The pregnancy pillow was great for relieving the hip pain and 2 pillows is even better so you don't have to move it when you roll onto your other side.
