i had my twins at 30 weeks and then went on 6 years later to have a singleton at 37 + 5
i was awesome to actually get into the third trimester - where as most people found it uncomfy and hard- i savoured every minute as i knew the alternative!
yes i was a bit antzy that i would go early again and i did end up in hossy the week before with BH as i was worried
but
i figured that if i was to have a prem again, then i knew i could do it!!
hang in there hun
DS1 was born at 30+1 weeks, due to PPROM at 28 weeks. The next pregnancy ended too early (17wks, for circumstances out of my control) and my last pregnancy, DS2, I went into labour at 26 weeks and with drugs and LOTS of bed rest I held on until 34+3. It is hard, but so worth it. The next time round is so much easier especially when you get further along.
Well done for 32 weeks all the best for the next few weeks.
DS was born at 33 weeks. Now I am 39 weeks & just can't wait for this bub to arrive that I am doing all natural induction methods! I could've sworn that I would have another early one and am just shocked that I've made it this far. My Ob has taken every precaution possible and I rested alot throughout the pregnancy. I found that even doing groceries I would get bad braxton hicks and freak that I was going to go into labour.
The good thing is that you are at a great gestation already. Take it week by week. I found that once I got to 34 weeks I totally relaxed about it all knowing that if bub arrived then s/he would probably not need NICU, just SCN. Babies are normally just fine at 34 weeks. Then, it's not long till 37 weeks and you're at term. So just take it step by step.
It is still a small chance of going prem again (around 15% chance).
Wishing you all the best, I'll be keeping an eye out for your BA in 8 weeks or more!
thanks so much ladies had a big few days of thinking and processing what it is I'm actually upset about. I've got every Dr I see telling me to expect it again, my family etc telling me how they will help out when it happens, not if it happens, think it all just really got to me.
Spent today writing my birth plan for a full term birth, something I didnt get to do with DS. Also wrote a plan (well a what I would like to happen within reason) if we go into pre-term labour again. Really helped me feel back in power of my body and this pregnancy. Also spoke to DP, turns out he is just as anxious.
We're going to take it week by week, my new week starts on Thursday, so we'll doing a mini celebration for every week we make.
*Det reading your post about, you've been there before you knew you could handle it, really got me thinking. Its so right. It really changed my mind set. Thanks.
Georgi, Im so hanging out for 37 weeks, I'm counting down til then, not my actual due date lol. I feel so happy to have made it to 32 weeks at least if she is born now she can stay in my local hospital without having to go to the city 2.5hrs away. Totally understand about the B&H while shopping, I've taken to keeping towels etc in the car just in case my waters break for some peace of mind lol.
