    Smile The ring test

    Hi.

Who has done this and is it right?
I heard it is back and forth for a boy and in circles for a girl.
Is it over the tummy or hand? Or just belly when pregnant and over hand to see all babies?

    Thanks.

Does no one do the ring test anymore?
What is the most common test to do beside an U/S?

Hi Mumzy, i have heard exactly the same as you, back and forth for boy, circles for girl and over the belly when preg and over the hand tp show all babies

It worked for me for my first preg, a little angel boy i lost at 18weeks,
and worked again for my girl, who i lost at 36 weeks and when i do it over my hand, they both show
I'm preg again (fingers crossed) but i havent done it yet coz i am only 8 weeks, and even though i know that genes determine sex and its already decided, i will wait till the age that they are formed to try it!!

i have done it for quite a few friends, 100%.Once i did it on a friends mother on her wrist , said 1 boy and 6 girls, here girls did not know that they had a brother and she said it must be wrong and laughted it off and later told me it was true. She adopted him out, as she was 16 at the time.

Wow Betty Boop, thats pretty spot on! How emotional for your friend (and you too !!)

It has also worked for a friend of mine and her two boys
And another friend who says she has had a pretty acurate record with ot too.

I reckon it has something to do with the gold reacting with female or male energy or something like that...... but thats as far as my unscientific brain can take it!! LOL

Just to confuse the issue - sorry!! I was googling this topic a while ago and found a road test that was carried out on five mums by a channel nine program I think (don't trust me on that though - bad pregnancy brain!). The most accurate of the five old wives tales was the ring test. The only thing is that they said that if the ring swung back and forth it meant a girl and round in circles meant a boy.

I did the ring test and it said boy but I had a girl. I thought it was back and forth for boy (long like penis!!) and circle for girl (well you get the picture!) I also did Chiense chart and that was right but it wasn't for my mum so who knows!!!

There are heaps of crazy tests out there - just google them and you can try a few. They ask questions that are so strange and I have no idea how they could possible relate to the gender .ie. do you eat crusts of the bread? WTF!!!!

Just curious RoseHannah and Klee what you believe is right for the ring test. Back and forth for a girl and in circles for a boy or vice versa?!!!

I understand that it's back and forth for a boy (like penis) and in circles for a girl. However I've never tested the theory.

My sister is coming from Brisbane to visit me next week and we will be using my Mum's wedding ring to do the test (she died 8 years ago). Apparently I need to be wearing the ring for at least a few hours so it picks up my 'energy'.

I'll let you all know how it goes!

Sorry I took so long to get back to you, I was doing the ring test with DH and it kept coming up with the same results each time I have had a boy and two girls and the ring started out going in a back and forward motion across my wrist, then slow down and turned into a circle motion then slowed a little then went into a circle motion again. I did the test on myself then did the test over DH, just to see if it may have been me unintentionally steering it. Nothing happened over DH wrist. Then DH wanted to have a go and the same thing happened for him, a boy and two girls when the ring was held over my wrist! Pretty amazing stuff, I would like to hear a scientific explanation for that.

OMG I just read Rosehannah and was about to say the same thing.
    This is so freaky!!!
I have done it with a wedding band and with a needle on thread (easier as you can tell the direction better, and those of you who can't get their rings off HEHE).

WOW Bettyboop thats a good story.

I did it to my mum and myself. On my tummy for bubs gender and on mums hand and mine to see number of kids and genders and the order.
There is a cool video of it that you should watch YouTube - Gender Prediction Test (the ring test)

And it did count m/c or lost babies (mum had an ectopic pregnancy before she had me and lost the bub at 4 and a half months and almost her life too).
IT WAS 100% RIGHT WITH MUM and with me so far 100% so I will have to see if it is true to the end....and it was showing signs that this was the last aswell.

It works for us as straight = boy and circle = girl.
