Whole Egg Mayo

Hi guys,

I've heard that we can't have whole egg mayo when pregnant - is this right?

Can someone please advice me.

I have heard the same thing Kelly. I beleive it has to do with the raw egg.
I stay away from all mayo- just in case.

I would probably stay away from the whole egg mayo... Apparantly anything to do with raw eggs is a no no... (which cuts out eggs benedict), yummo!!!!! xxoo

I only avoid home-made mayos, those bought from supermart are fine for me.

Yep, a big no no for the raw egg one because of the risk of listeria. I found one mayonnaise in the supermarket that doesnt have raw egg in it. I think it might be a praise one, you just have to read on the ingredients part A lot do have raw egg so just be extra careful. GL.

I avoid all mayos as I'm yet to find one that has no raw egg in it and I'm not willing to take the risk even though I'm missing it like mad.

But does the whole egg mayo you buy from the shops have raw egg in it or is it cooked/processed? I used some last week in a chicken dish i made, but it went into the oven so i guess whatever wasnt cooked wouldve been.
