I am a 16-18 too with my first I was only really showing the last few weeks but DD1 was born at 34 weeks, with DD2 I was showing much earlier and had a real belly, not a perfect round one but still a belly.
I'm the same, down to the flabby tummy... And although my baby belly's sorta big, it doesn't look like the "normal" round belly i want - it's weirdly rectangular I have been told, however, that it's showing signs of popping soon! My belly's been hard for a while... From around 12 weeks, what was flab kinda filled out a bit.
Sorry I haven't been much help, and I hope you're luckier than me
You will eventually get a PG belly. I'm a 14-16 and 25 wk PG with no2 and from this point on I will only start looking more and more PG. You can also start to feel more PG as you begin to feel your uterus/belly getting in the way, esp if you try to lie on you stomach or squeeze by something.
Most of all you will know that you are PG.
I think it has a lot to do with your height too. I was a 14-16 pre-pregnancy, I'm 5'4 and I have had a very definite baby bump from well before 20 weeks. My belly went hard and round pretty early but I still had a flabby bit right at the bottom of my tummy This is my second baby though and I don't remember the flab last time. Now it's all rock hard and looks like a big ball! Friends that are a lot taller than me don't seem to show as much, or as early so I wonder if it's because my baby has nowhere to go but straight out, KWIM?
You've got heaps of time to develop the bump! And in the mean time just enjoy not having to 'suck it in'

I am about a size 18 and have lost more weight during pregnancy than since i can care to remember lol!! i am fascinated how this works! I was a size 12 when I was 20 and fell pregnant with our first daughter, I am now 30 and onto fourth daughter and I didn't really start to show an obvious baby belly until I was around 34-36 weeks and still now at nearly 39 weeks, I can sometimes look not pregnant and it is really disappointing!! I love poking my pregnancy belly out there lol! My 3rd pregnancy was a posterior bub so my tummy was in some whacky shapes at times and this one seems to resemble that too. What I have noticed in my last 2 pregnancies is that I have a really tight full top part and under my belly button is all flab, I have heard people call it an apron of fat!! Which kind of fits but i don't like it!! I have many thin friends whom are pregnant and they have shown form about weeks 8 to 10 and just kept ballooning!! So I really think it is just your body type and shape and as someone previously stated probably height too!!
In any case, any pregnancy belly is gorgeous, and do you notice that when you are pregnant, everywhere you go there seems to be an abundance of pregnant women whereas before you wouldn't have seen others....I once counted 11 women in the local Woolworths (Small store) one Thursday evening!!
All the best

I was as big as you are now with my last two pg's and I definitely had a baby belly!!! I was huge LOL. I haven't seen many women at all our size who don't end up with a baby belly. For a lot of women they just look a big podgy for up to the first half of their pg and then all of a sudden they pop out and look like they are pg.
It really depends on the person and how their body carries their baby.....
I was size 10-12 when I fell pregnant. My son was born 8pound 8ounce.....but I never got the belly was really looking forward to that cute bump....most people didnt realise I was even pregnant til the last few weeks...I didnt even buy maternity clothes!!
It really does depend from person to person, did your mum have baby belly?
With DD1 I had no belly nothing, I went to be induced at 42 weeks plus 2 days and the midwife asked me what I was doing here, and was I 'sure' I was pregnant.
With DD2 I had nothing again, then at 36 weeks bamm big belly!
And my cousin is bigger too, and she has beautiful bellies!!!
Good luck
