What a weekend. Poor DS1 ended up in hospital with rashes and vomiting and it was awful. He is still not eating today, but has stopped throwing up water, and must be feeling better because he only woke up 3 times last night! He asked me for a swing this morning (his favourite thing) then fell asleep in it. Poor thing. As some of you know my DH is a shift worker, so it's been a bit of a nightmare. I rang a girl from mother's group and she came over and helped with DS2 while i got ready for the hospital visit. I was covered in vomit (noice!) and needed to shower and change. I've never asked for help before...and boy i'm glad i did. It makes you realise how people are happy to help, they just need to be asked.
Wow it seems we are all having a bad time of it with our big babies at the moment.
Just have a few moments before miss cranky wakes up. BG, I hear you on the Wonder Weeks and teething thing. Tara has the worst w/e possible, really fussy, not wanting to sleep and then being overtired. It took us almost 2 hours yesterday afternoon/evening to get her down for a sleep (which only lasted 30 minutes). So definately Wonder Weeking here plus I think she might be starting to get teething symptoms. Her poor dummy now doesn't just get sucked but it's getting the life chewed out of it as well, so with all the crankyness and teething signs I caved and gave her some baby panadol last night. At least that worked and she had her usual long night sleep (9.30pm-8am) and then into big bed and back to sleep until 10am. She is asleep again now, either from exhaustion from her w/e ordeal or we are over the worst of the Wonder Week. Gotta go grocery shopping today and going to get some teething rings to put in the freezer for her, yesterday her favourite thing was to suck on the outside of a cold can straight out of the fridge. Not ideal, but a huge clue for me. I've already got some amber teething beads, but haven't used them yet, I've have put them on her but they keep getting stuck in the folds under her chin so am hoping I can hold out until she can sit up by herself so her neck is stretched out a bit more and the necklace won't get stuck.
Hopefully will bbl for a catch up, but I'm just so exhausted still and after the weekend I'm feeling more shattered than ever.
Grub DON"T PEAK! :P and well done little Ash. Oh my goodness you must be bouncing off the walls. I'm over the moon at 3 hours at a time. but that sounds like hevan and so soon. Fingers crossed for the continuation.
Brigsy well I think I'm just impatient () He did a great one this morning so much so I think I'll give the coloxyl drops a tone down, keep going with the sugar water and then ween him off. I'm not going to stop all together don't want a relaps. Also No screaming just a bit of pushing. Oh my lord it stunk though Have you tried lemon? My bro swears by lemons for teething it seams to work.
Poppy Happy Mothers day I can't wait till May, I almost cried reading your post. I think the story is so similar to mine. I can't wait and am so glad I get to do it first. Fathers day is in Sept here.
Janie I'm sorry Jasmine hasn't enjoyed childcare I guess a cold can really throw babes. I hope it gets better Not looking forward to my own experience comming up.
Lenny really glad you asked for help. Hope it all gets better soon.
KellyD hope the cold teething stuff works, I got one at my baby shower, bit of a way off yet (I hope).
ATM hungry little man, he's waking up 4 hourly at night but three hourly during the day, drinking 120mls then right back to sleep. I put him in the sling to do the washing and he was so annoyed with me and just wanted to go back to bed. He fell asleep on my lap and didn't even wake when I set the smoke alarm off.

Green I had a VB with a cut because of the scar tissue from Campbells birth. I was cut with his and had a third degree tear. I have had 2 lots of antibiotics and burst my stitchers. The oestrgoen cream seems to be making it more irritated. What to do, will leave it a bit longer and then call OB.
I have to have a little complain. We went privately for both our boys births. Campbell ended up in intensive care so was therefore admitted to the hospital, his medical bills were ciovered by our health insurance. Xavier even though he was prem did extremely well and was not addmitted to hospital. I have just recieved $600 worth of paediatricians bill for the 10 mins that he spent with us and also recieved $700 worth of pathology bills for the 2 of us. So not impressed.
Sleep what is that, well we had a good night last night. I got 10 til 1.30 and then 2.30 til 5 and then 5.30 til 8. I am just so lucky that when DH is not here to get up to him, Campbell will play quietly on his bed until I get him up. Must be off to cook dinner.
Ouch! Those bills are nasty! We went private for Sam and didn't pay a cent for the ten days that Sam was in SCN, nor a cent for the ten days that I spent in the same hospital as a patient as I told them I wasn't going home for Christmas without my boy (I fully expected to go home after Christmas, but they then didn't talk about sending me home until Sam was ready to go too). How premature was Xavier, Saph? Sam was a 36-weeker.
Sorry, I lie - I did receive one bill - a pharmacy bill for the haemarrhoid cream I needed. Pathology for us both was covered.
BW he was a 36 weeker as well, Well almost 37 weeks but they all kept telling me he is doing amazingly well for being prem. This was my dream birth, an hour labour and straight up onto my chest for a feed, ( not a great feed but one all the same.) We got to cuddle whilst the ob did the cord blood storage and then I had a hemorage ?sp so they started working on me for a while but I still got to cuddle him. Campbells shoulders got stuck and he had a terrible delivery and didnt breathe. He was intubated and taken to ICU before I even got to see him. They almost sent him to the childrens hospital here but luckily we only ended up on different floors not different hospitals. But I now have my 2 beautiful boys and the huge bills, terrible blood loss and sore bits are all worth it.
