    Good afternoon girls,

Kelly - WOO HOO, 12 Oct, how exciting Hope it goes quickly for you.

Azzrenae - so good to hear from you Hope your littlier man grows some more before you have them. Take care and thinking of you

Greenslw - sorry to hear about your friends MC. I can understand the guilt your feeling. Let your friend know you're there for her.

Mels - lovely to hear from you and thanks for sharing you lovely birth story. Glad all is going well and look forward to hearing your progress. Take care.

Hi to Bella, 31becc, Murph, BOC, Smithy and everyone else.

Azzrenae that's great that they show you around, it would make me feel heaps more reassured. Hope you're not too bored in hosp.

KellyD yayaya wow less than a month, it will fly.

MissMagpie now we're going to have words. GO CROWS! congrats on the 30weeks. Hope you're not too sad when the boys from SA win

ATM bit cruzy. DF got a new matress even though I protested and it's stuffed my back up big time, couldn't even shop without being in pain today. I don't have the heart yet to say, bring back the old one. Maybe after a week. His back was off too so maybe I"m in luck. It was a freebie matress one that had been on the warehouse floor for over a year. It's ok but not the $1000+ one I baught 8 years ago, DF likes soft I like rock hard. The new one is tooo soft. And besides I need to be comfortable right now, my hips are still really sore and the band the physio gave me helps but it's not fixed, maybe it wont be. until Squeak arrives

Hope everyone else is having a great weekend so far

KellyD that great news 1 month to go. Have you go everything for bub and nursery?

Greenslw hope you found a better mattress I know what you man when you say you hips hurt ouch. Isn't thee a mattress out there where you can adjust your side to a different number and your DF side to a different number not sure how much that would cost I assume it wouldn't be cheap.

Missmagpie not liking your chances I just flicked my tv over and saw the score hmmmmm they are in the 3rd quater ooooooh strike that magpies just got a goal oh so close now good luck. Look at us now we made it to 30 weeks

AFM My OB came in to talk to me yesterday and said that she may have to pull the boys out next little man code flow isn't doing so well there is a bit of a story to it but wont go into it. I have another scanon Monday at 11.30 to check him again the she will decided what to do then. Spoke to NICU doctor as well he just wanted to tell me what to expect after the boys are born so I think I am mentally prepaired for it.

Good luck Azz for monday. I'm glad they seem to be keeping you so well informed and you feel ready, although i'm sure it doesn't make it any less scary. If you get the chance, let us know how you are going oxox

greenslw - sorry to be harsh hun, but you need to order DH to go get a mattress that suits you! you really realy need the rest and with all the aches and pains and strains you put up with 24/7, the least you can have is a comfy mattress. we bought a $2000 latex-topped mattress recently and it's the love of our lives lol. but i agree with azz, there's ones you can get tailored to both users but i'm not sure how exxy they are! But when you think about it... a good mattress, well-cared for should last about 10yrs and $2/3000 over that time is not much for comfort and back friendliness. hope you get it sorted soon tho oxoxo (gee i'm bossy hey! now i've sorted your mattress woes out, got anything else? lol)

Miss Tania - How did your footy team go? and big congrats on 30 weeks! personally i feel like i've started crawling to the finish line after power walking through the first 2/3rds of pregnancy. I hope you are feeling better than that! only a few weeks left at work! yayayayyayayaaya.

KellyD - that is super duper exciting! enjoy your final month. Does it help to now see the finish line definitely?

Hi Smithy, Murph, Boc, Bella, BDT, mels, bec, neptune,

and special shout out to our JEN!!!! well, she would have had the boys by now i'm sure. so if anyone sees the announcement post do share!!!

hope you are all having a fab weekend.... I"ve hit the pregnancy wall. novelty has worn off now. I want my body back and i'm OVER IT! at least i'm nearly in the last trimester but everything is becoming a real hassel... you know what i mean... it's started to take sooo much out of me. anyhoo, just an impatient person who can't wait to meet her little man

    Hi Girls

Miss M: Well the magpies just made it over the line. I don't know how you would have coped with such a close finish and the heat last night was shocking. Anyway roll on next week.. A very hard game and physical game for the pies and all the heat to sap some energy.. Will be an interesting game between the Cats & Pies, I just hope it isn't like the 2007 Prelim Final which was just too stressful for me.

Azz: Good luck for Monday and I'm sure that if the Dr says getting your boys out early is going to be better for them in the long run then you will do what needs to be done. Are you in a hossy where your boys can be looked after in the NICU or would they need to be transferred to a different hossy??

Grub: Isn't it amazing how we can go from really enjoying our pregnancy to be soooo over it. I can feel you sister, but wait the best is still to come with feeling uncomfortable.

Greenslw: What a horrible time to change mattresses, a good plan is to tell DF that it might be better to keep the original mattress for the time being as if your waters break when you are in bed they will ruin the mattress and then you will have to get rid of the new one as well. We really need a new mattress for our bed, but due to the possible waters breaking (even though we are having a c/s) and also the current one is all comfy to my shape we have decided to wait until after bubs is here and I'm back to normal to then go looking for a new mattress.

AFM: Well it was a beautiful day yesterday but my body sure didn't like it too much.. For the first time this whole pregnancy my feet and hands swelled, I am so relieved I won't have to carry through summer as they are predicting another hot one this year. Getting the final items organised now for bubs, have to get a Cargo Barrier for the s/wagon which we have been shopping around for so will hopefully have next week and then we can fit that along with the car seat to have them checked out to make sure all is o.k. I must admit when I got told our final date on Friday it seemed to change my view as I now have that definate end date in site - 29 days - but just in case I have already packed my hossy bag and bubs hossy bag as well. So only 4 more weeks of cooking and we get to meet this little girl finally.

Thank you all for your support re matress I am bossy but with DF it doesn't work. He digs in so I opened with "can we put some money into our holiday account for a new mattress when I'm not pg?" as I don't think what I want now is what I'd want later. It worked and the old one is back on the bed thank god, I'm so tired. Kelly D thanks for the heads up re water breaking didn't think of it in bed to tell the truth, more worried about at work! or at the shops!

KellyD i swelled the other day too and I will be pg over summer. Lots of water and feet up I reccon.

Grub, I think every pg women gets to the point you're at. But you're on the downward slope now so it may be more bareable. I think the sleep number beds are 4K so I don't think unless my xlotto numbers come up we'll be doing that but I am open to 2K after all you're in it for a big part of your life and good sleep is the best thing. even better than DTD well for me atm anyways.

Azzrenae goodluck monday, glad you're mentally prepaired

Well DF got me a big pile of dirt today. so exciting but then it rained so I can't get in the garden, oh well maybe after work one pot at a time, I do love my garden now, after we rented the house the tenant didn't water so lots of casulties and things that are Unkillable were a bit sick, I've pruned and pulled heaps over the last 6 months add heaps of lovely winter rain and it's looking good, just needs a good feed of mushroom compost (oh boy it smells, I thought it was bad before but with pg nose it's scary but good food for the garden) and yes I have my gloves and mask to make sure I don't get any nasties anywere. Wouldn't have never done that pre pg!

A week without meetings to look forward to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh p.s. MissMagpie, I'm eating humble pie, was a great game to watch hope you didn't deliver in the last 15seconds!

Wow - i've been on holidays for a week and this forum really moves quickly!

Kelly - 29 days to go - nearly there
BDT - 2 little girls is fantastic. I'm one of 4 girls and I absolutely love having sisters
Mels77 - you made it! well done and enjoy every second

A big hi to everyone else

AFM - I'm looking for a little support. I have my first scan on Thurs and I'm absolutely petrified. The only other time I have been pregnant my first scan was awful. They told me that my uterus was empty, the baby wasn't where it was supposed to be and we had to deal with it that day, right there and then. It was such a shock and I remember thinking it was my heart that was emptying, not my uterus. My legs were shaking and I was crying and all I wanted was for them to finish the scan. Soooooooooo this time, I'm really scared.

    - double hug for you bridget. i can completely see why you are petrified, i think that is normal. Not sure what i can say to support you because your fear is very much understandable. But i'm going to be thinking all sorts of positive thoughts for you. I hope you can try not to stress too much and try to take some time out to pamper yourself this week.

I have a feeling there will be a flood of tears this time too... but happy tears me thinks! and here's to a nice strong oxoxoxo

smithy - i'm feeling the love, love lol. right back at you guurrrllllffrrreeennnndddd.

hi greenslw - yay for getting into the garden and especially for no meetings! and bigger yay, the mattress war is over. lol. if your dh is anything like mine, you've just got to drop subtle hints and let him think it was his idea. Men are sssoooo easy to manipulate cos they haven't had the baptism of fire of being a teenage girl lol. (hope dh doesn't read this or my trick is up!)

i just got msyelf an upgraded vehicle, a 2nd hand camry but in great condition. I'd been banging on about my car for months, then out of the blue DH finds me a new car it's in teh driveway now ready for me to take to work.

In fact the only thing that is making me even want to go to work is the fact i get to drive my own car. Have 2 days off this week for a visit from sweet SIL. so that makes things a bit easier....

wishing all the girls a great week especially those expecting early arrivals or up for scans

    Hey everyone,
just touching base quickly and want to give lots of big love to Bridget and wish you the best possible outcome on Thursday. I hope you are like me, tears of happiness in the biggest possible way at my first heartbeat scan. I think the nurses thought I'd been told I'd lost the pregnancy, but it was just that build up and relief of finding out everything was fine. We'll all be thinking of you.

Grub, I believe what you are describing is the Jedi Mind trick. It won't work on my DH as he is used to always use it on his section commanders in the army when he was a young pup!

Good news on the bed situation Greenslw. Glad you were able to do a few underhanded manouvres to get DF on side

Miss Maggie, I have to take it from everyone else that your team got up, although I still have no t.v and not likely to get one so news is a bit patchy on the outside world.

No news from Jen yet? Hope all is well.

Well Mum's been up visiting and is flying back today and wants to check the weather conditions in Melbourne so better go check. Talk more soon.

Bridget: Good luck on Thursday, I think all of us had some trepidation about that first scan as until we can see something it just doesn't seem real. But I have every faith that you have a good strong one stuck in for the long haul and that everything will be fine for you. Oh and the stress and worry doesn't get any better the further along you go...just a heads up for you.

Thought I would add a nice little note today... Last night we took our 34 week belly photo and I thought I might just measure around my belly to see how big it actually is.... I know I feel and look big but the reality has hit... My belly measured 119cm round and I am only 164cm tall, so basically my belly measurement is 3/4 of my height. It all makes sense now why my back is starting to get really sore... and with 4 more weeks left to go how much bigger is is going to get.

Hi all just thought I would let you know I am still around. Struggling a bit with ms and my other problem. Brace is not helping all that much and they threated me with a walking frame last week. Back off to the physio today so we will see how it all goes. Just trying to make the year out at work. To be honest I/ think I am better at work than at home. I finish work at 31 weeks so heres fingers crossed that I make it till than. All recovered from hossy but morning sickness is still bad. Dog did a big I mean huge poo on the tiles.(she is very old and we dont know how much longer she will be around.) I had to get DH to come home from work and clean it up because it kept making me sick. I even used a whole can a air freshner trying to get close enough to clean it up. Hope everyone is doing well.

    finally a bfp

Hi Ladies, thought I can join this this thread now, as we have our confirmed bfp!

    4 weeks 4 days today!

I am super paranoid that it wont stick around - its taken us so long to get here. Anyone else like that?

Hi Krikkit. Since I seem to be the only one up at 4a.m (damn indigestion), let me be the first to congratulate you!! Congratulations on your BFP and I think at one time we all feel like you are feeling now and I guess that's because we know that nothing is ever certain, especially after what it has taken to get here. Take heart though, it's rough and the first weeks are very scary while we wait for the little buggers to stick, but it does happen and all of us in here are living proof. What you are going through is perfectly normal but it gets better

Saph, you sure are doing it tough. I hope there is some relief in store for you soon.

Smithy, are you sure you want to go with Charlie for your baby's name? My Charlie (butter wouldn't melt in her mouth, she's so cute-spoodle) relapsed into her old anxious ways and on Mum's first night with us, she gathered all Mum's belongings, high heel shoes, stockings and expensive Oroton sunnies as well as breaking into the food cupboard. Oh gawwwd!!! Too much excitement for one little dog...too much expense, I now feel I have to replace the damn sunnies!

KellyD, you are leaps and bounds ahead of me although at one stage I thought I nearly caught you. Jazzy still has heaps of room to move and yep I'm now feeling those kind of unpleasant moves you warned me about. Lately she has been moving the furniture every night and I wake up very lop sided and odd looking! At last check last week I was told she was breech, so we have to wait for her to get into position or else try some interventions (chinese medicine style).

Hands up who has now gone and measured their bellies after Kelly did it?? well I just did...not quite the impressive girth to height ratio as yours though Kel I'm 100 round the belly and 171cm tall (blonde and like walks along the beach..remember Grub, if you're still wanting to date me!) It's a cute mental picture of you though Kelly, your DH must be stoked...so damn preggas!

Hey Azz, hope you got some good news yesterday and hope you are traveling well.

Hi to everyone else and keep those tummies rising.xoxo

i did too lol. I'm 170cm tall and my belly is 111cm lol. so kelly d you have it all over me as well. lol murph, i'd forgotten bout that. i'm a dag, no doubt about it maybe a walk along one of the beaches at cape trib... glass of wine? ooohh no a beer at ellis beach pub watching the sunset... sorry your dh, she's mine! oh bugger, what will we do with the kids? lol.

kriskitt i posted in your ''how long does it take'' and am so glad you've popped in. like murph said, the worry of the first 12 (really 8 tho) weeks is horrid. the best advice i have is to enjoy what you have and live for today. try not to get bogged down in worry and stress as it won't do you or bub any good. Plus you can't control the outcome so may as well be happy for the next few weeks rather than stressy! And like someone mentioned just before - the first trimester worry is only the start of the various concerns you are going to have... it never ends!

Only one more sleep SMithy!!!! can't wait to log on tomorrow and and hear! that'll be hilarious if it is a 'bagina' lol.

hi saph - i'm really sorry but i did giggle at your dog poo story. I have a really sensitive tummy (preg or not) and can't touch dog vomit or even hear anyone else be sick (sympathy spewing is nasty!). so i completely understand where you are coming from. And you are under my orders as well to take care of yourslf and your back! does swimming or anything like that help?

my back is killing me atm - sciatica (sp) still playing up. but went for a swim this morn so will see how it goes. think i'll have to do a daily swim to help control the pain. doesn't help i''m mostly desk bound at work bbrrrhhh

    Hi girls oxoxoxox
