Just a quick one for Grub...

Congratulations on the wonderful arrival of the little Grubby Bub

ahh, you corrected yourself before I could be a smart (well, Grub) When I read the name as Asthon, I thought, no you wouldn't give me that much amunition, it was just too easy You know what I mean. I thought you might have snuck a bit of the pethadine after all.

in all seriousness, I got back from Townsville and was sooooo anxious to follow your progress and I read and skipped through everything to read your story. Oh man I was in tears with you on that low day you had and felt like you were dreading the experience I had. Though you put a positive spin on it, it was heartbreaking to read you were so sad. i bawled my heart out for all the same things the first chance I got. we couldn't be together at home for 7 days and it really was hard for me being in hospital and DH just visiting. DH had to take on everything and then for another 6 weeks post-op and post baby pretty much. I'm so glad you got your big happy birth experience and everything went to plan with your lovely man being home. I can see both you and his Daddy in him. Your lips definitely. I don't have to tell you to enjoy...you will

Been MIA cos it's been manic at work and a new thread already. Lots to catch up on (deep breath) here goes

SeaChange well done on you pg and welcome.

    Saph hang in there

Thanks for the list Boc Well done, geeze I'm close now.

Poppyfairy do you have a feeling on your DD I'm thinking either the 20/1 or 2/2 for me. No idea why just have a 2 feeling

Grub you sound so happy (if a little tired) so good to hear. Wishing you and your now bigger family a wonderful Christmas

Merry Christmas to all the wonderful BB mums and mums to be. I'm thinking of all of you around the Christmas table unable to eat ham and drink wine (for just a little while) but it is so worth it

ATM work has been nuts but it's all done. and now I feel like maternity leave is calling even if it is a couple of weeks away. I just need to clean my office, handover and then relax. My bosses baby came a couple of days after she finished so I'm hoping I get the full two weeks at home on my own.

I have had so much energy the last week, Can't sit NESTING but my body is feeling it. My feet were so sore the other night they felt like they were on FIRE! So I"m tring not to pace so much but having the nursary 90% set up is so amazing.

My friend had her scan and there was a HB at 6.2 weeks so I have a pg friend again. Still keeping everything crossed for her but I have a good feeling. And I can pass all my pg books and mags on, Clear some space for all the parenting stuff.

Can't believe it's Chrismas eve, I finish work at 4.30 then gather all the food to take to mums for a light supper, then tomorrow it's the HEAVY lunch (small gathering of DH mum and one of our firneds) then a lot of friends popping in and out all day. I really love Christmas.

GRUB~ I would LOVE to see your pics also but cant gain access either.SOmeone else on the forum couldnt either.

Forgetting names already but someones post just said we cant eat ham while pg? Why is that? My books dont say anything about ham.I have a HUGE ham on the bone ready for tomorrow...now im thinking i will only be eating damn salad.

QUESTION~~ PLEASE HELP.Has anyone had light brown discharge (sorry for tmi) at 8 weeks? I had a teeny tiny smear this morning when i wiped after emptying my bladder.i am 8 weeks 1 day and my scan last wednesday showed a strong heartbeat and i dont have cramping or anything but am worried. My Ivf clinic is closed over xmas and i havnt booked my ob yet as advised so have no one to help. My books say its common around 4,8 and 12 weeks as thats when you normally woud have a period but cant stop worrying.
    Thanks girls for your help.x

Wantbaby, I had some brown spotting a little while after my early scan. It isn't uncommon to have some spotting after an internal, hopefully that's all it is. Generally if it's brown and nothing else going on it's ok.

    Merry christmas all.
