Sammie: My sympathy goes to you, I know the feeling all to well as my 8 year old beloved cat died this year (the saturday night before Mother's Day). We also had no warning signs and had been out before it happened and within 10 minutes she was no longer with us. We also don't know what happened and I didn't want a vet to find out, so we found a special place in our garden to put her to rest and my DH searched for the perfect rose bush to plant over her (an unusual rose called Oranges & Lemon's as Shilo had very unusual marking) and we had flowers this spring - summer. It is nice to know that in some way she is still with us and I'm sure your beloved pet will be with you always as well.

Sammiejam = I'm so sorry. I am a dog lover and know that it is no less than a family member's passing. I'm glad your pet didn't suffer a long illness. Thinking of you

Hey Grub, Ashton is GORGEOUS!!!!!! You look so happy and settled being a mum.

I had huge BFing issues as well and expressed frequently - 'heading to the farm to milk the cows'. Hang in there and good luck with it. It's a learning curve for both you and Ashton, so it's hard to get it right straight away.

    Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and enjoyed speding quality time with your bubs & bumps!

Sammie: So sorry to hear about your furbaby hun. They really are like our children aren't they? I had the same thing last year, my 1yr old mutt died suddenly in his sleep. We had him cremated and he now sits on a shelf and we talk to him all the time. I was devastated but just glad it was so peaceful. DH cried every night for 3 weeks afterwards, he was his little mate. It really is hard when they're only young though, and when you least expect it. Cry all you want on us hun, that's what we're here for. But you'll get through eventually and have all those happy memories to live on.

Grub: Ashton is a total little spunk! Soooo cute! Love the photos, and I'm sure that was a big smile he gave for the camera in his photo with Nanna! Hope he enjoyed his first Xmas. Tell me, did you manage to get a santa photo in? I worked on Santa photos one year and we had a few 2/3/4 day old bubs come in, it was so beautiful although Santa was s%*@tting himself worried he was going to drop one!

    Big to everyone else!

AFM: All good here, still having swelling but not much I can do. Ob sent me to get BP checked on Thurs, was higher than normal but still within normal range so nothing really further to happen until it rises out of that. All normal I guess. Had a great Xmas with my family, and DH really enjoyed it too. Not much else to tell, hope you all enjoy the week ahead, bring on 2010!!!

    Oh Girls,

Thank you all so much. You have NO IDEA how much comfort your words bring me right now...

A Klein Spitz is very similar to a pomeranian but slightly bigger, different shaped nose and doesnt shed or smell doggie Our Bob "The Butterball" Trimbole (his "circus" pseudonom lol) aka Troublesome Bob (when being a ratbag) or Lil Bob as he was generally known really was our sourrogate baby. He was with me all day every day and was a perfect little pooch who lived to please. Everyone loved him. DH is totally and utterly shattered. My heart is so broken and I have been sobbing since it happened. We will be getting him back in a few days in a beautiful urn with pawprints and locks of his fur. I think they are putting his fur in a locket for me so i can have him with me all the time.

We just had him for such a short time, it seems so unfair. I still cant shake the feeling that we failed him by leaving him alone. Maybe we could have helped him if we had been there. DH keeps saying that he killed him The garage he was in was airconditioned and there was no poison or anything around. If he had been bitten by a snake or spider he would have shown signs of it so we dont think that happened. Even if he had choked on something there would be signs, surely. I truely believe it was a heart attack. We decided against an autopsy because well, hes gone and it wont help knowing if it was something that we could have prevented or helped with. To know that for sure would just make it SO very much worse...

Again, thank you all so much for being there for me at a time when you should just be hearing happy, fun things. It honest means so much to me.

Grub - that is one GORGEOUS baby. The only thing that has bought a smile to my face since the hideous event.

    Hugs everyone,

    Me.
