Rachel- Oh hun, I am so sorry. You are handling it so well. Like you said, there have been doubts from the beginning...but then there were so many positives to. I am thinking of you hun and hope you get plenty of rest. I don't know what to say hun, so sorry. All my love and luck for 2009!:comfort:
Megan- Such a lovely part of all this, to prepare for bub to arrive. I hope you have a ball setting up and organising the baby's room...i can't wait to do that.
Alloy- Hope the Christmas went well. Can't wait to hear if it is one or two bubs too hun...i hope i haven't missed it...had so much catching up to do. Enjoy the moment at that scan babe.:twin_neutral:
Kahlan- I hear you re: the MS hun...blah yukko. To be honest when it is all over in a few weeks hopefully, i will look back and think it wasn't to bad. Just in the moment, not nice at all. Ooooo, that heartbeat..wonder if it is a little baby boy. My bet is on a boy, although the bet with hubby might have to be better played. Your Dh sounds like a hunny, bless him for loving you the way he does. That scan was certainly a great gift for you both. As for the weight gain...for me i have lost about a kilo a week over the last 4-5 weeks. I put it down to feeling gros and not eating as much as i normally would. As long as i don't go under 60kg, i am still in a healthy range. So i am working hard on not losing any more. So many pep i have known have lost weight in first tri. I am so pleased you found out now about the thyroid hun. I had tests a while back and it showed no real issue however i have low iodine so I take extra iodine. So i am just glad that the tests brought something back...so many pep go undetected. Hope the management goes ok for you....sorry long post. I have been MIA for ages.
BW- I would be taking that day off hun...really sounds like you need it. I hope you can work through some of the birth issues you have, if you need any help with visualisations etc let me know hun...that helped me a lot. Have you thought about going to see a clairvoyant or something like that..if you are into it. It might help instill some confidence that you will be ok. I can thoroughly recommend Hypnobirthing by Marie Mongan...great book. I also have a Natal Hypnotherapy Cd from over here in the UK that have found great. I did a lot of work with this over the years of TTC in case it was stopping me from falling pg. Sorry i am babbling on now. Let me know if you need anything at all that. ;)
M2C- Welcome and Congratulations hun. I really hope it all calms down a bit and allows you to enjoy the pg. I really don't blame you for feeling out of sorts and worried. I send you all the luck, sticky vibes and love i can muster. Hope everything improves for you and you have your hands full before you know it.
Lucky Strike- Sounds like it might be time for a bit of retail therapy hun...get out there and get some new outfits to embrace and celebrate that new and changing body of yours ...gorgeous mamma. Hope you find some comfort soon babe.
Scooby- Great for you hun to have that CS booked. Done and dusted! Wow a party...hope you have a blast. You are getting oh so close now and it is becoming so so exciting for us watching from the side lines. Hope everyone is being much more accepting for you. You deserve to have a wonderful experience on every level.
Bel- Oh boy, in my absence you have really had a tough time. I am so sorry that things haven't let up for you so that you can just enjoy your newly pregnant self. I can't believe it is still going on for you. As you say though...that very important 10 week milestone is around the corner and be sure to celebrate it hun. Listening to your recap of the scan and your Dh's comments is just so cute. I hope with all my heart that you will be just fine. All good signs and remarks from the Ob suggest everything will be. Thinking of you hun and hoping for some rest for you...this worrying can take a lot out of you. Love and thoughts!
Nicole- Hope the constipation improves babe...horrid stuff and just makes you feel yukko. LOL about the tap dancer...so cute and i am so pleased it is all going well for you.
TL, Mon, LNB, Janie, BG, Devon, Numa, Possoms...and others i have missed. :bellyrubs:Big belly rubs to you all.
AFM- So sorry ladies, been a bit MIA...well didn't get onto the new thread until late and just had to find time to catch up. You are all doing so well whetever you are dealing with the good or the bad of early/late pg. Mad mad mad how time flies.
I have been have a few issues with mum but in time that will heal and things will be fine. She is is so sensitive...aren't we all, and i love her to bits...but some boundries were needed. I am very conscious right now of the choices i make and the effect on our child, physically and emotionally.
OUr bubs is learning from us this very minute and i am trying my bestest to give if the strength and confidence it needs to learn this early on...by being strong myself. I already feel like our bub is proud of it's mum and dad...and that makes me feel chuffed.
MS has been ever so present but in the last couple of days i have had windows of freedom from it's clutches...yay. I am hoping that the placenta taking over in the next few weeks will mean relief! Oh can't wait.
Still haven't booked my Midwife appointment...must do that for week after xmas! Will see how we are, but have decided not to have a scan until 20 weeks unless needed. I am proud of my pure strength to last it out...not easy as i am sure you girls will attest.:o
Our car gave up the ghost in the last couple of days, so bought a bike until we work out what we are going to do.
My right ovary is going like mad right now...so either i have another leaky cyst breaking down or the corpus luteum is starting to break down as the placenta takes hold.
Relief on the constipation front...not sure if it was mental or physical things that helped but so far so good and trying not to ask too many questions.
Connection and communication with my body right now is crystal clear, which i am loving to bits. Starting to feel a bit of added pressure...very mild, in lower pelvis around bladder...my first pg feeling really. So exciting. Peeing like a mad woman right now which Miss_c says will continue until my uterus pops up over my pubic bone...can't wait for that so i can get back to 1-2 pees a night.
So sorry to blab on...hope it is of some interest to someone out there. I have not been in for so long...had a lot to say i guess. LOL
Love and belly rubs to you all
HM xoxoxo:dance:

Just wanted to say a quick hi and good to see you HM, glad alls going well, you have some very strong words of wisdom there and amazing energy, thanks for sharing!
Well had my 3D scan which was nice but Ava would not play, we got a lovely 3D shot of her girly bits, so no doubt its a girl!! im starting to get a little worried as she seems to like flashing them at every US :o But yes no good face shots hands, feet and umbilical cord all in the way. But shes lookin great and measuring approx 34 weeks (long legs and big head like her brother) so thats good as i was a bit concerned about the early date of the CS. Shes approx 2 kilos as well, which is totally amazing to think of at this stage (i realise its not very accurate, but spins me out that shes that big already). Still tired and grumpy but if thats the worst of it, then its all good.
Well off to get cleaning and cooking . Taking DS to breakfast with santa tomorrow mornin so its not going to leave me much time to organise for tomoro nite. Sorry for the "its all about me post"
Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!!!

Hi everyone,
Rachel - I'm so sorry :comfort: I hope you are doing ok and that the time until you try again in 2009 will be one of healing and support for you, I know it is on BB. I wish you so much hope for 2009 and I'm sure you'll be back in here in 2009.
Bel - I've been thinking of you lots and hoping that you're doing ok. I'm so pleased to hear that the scan recently showed everything is going wonderfully - I really hope and pray that the bleeding stops so that you can feel secure in the knowledge that your little ones are doing well. Hang in there, you're being so strong!
Nicole - I also found the time when my m/s ended and the time until I started feeling movement (and til we heard the heartbeat) really very difficult, right at about 14 weeks as well. Everything felt quite intangible, and I didn't have the reassurances I had got used to anymore. It felt like I was floating with not a lot to grasp onto pregnancy-wise. I'm really glad your OB was able to give you a scan and reassure you that everything is ok. Hopefully movement will be happening really soon, and don't forget that from about now onwards the heartbeat should be able to be heard with a fetal doppler, so you can always go to your GP to check the heartbeat if you're worried - I did that quite a bit with my midwives until movement was regular. Hope the time goes quickly until your next OB appointment, hun.
Alloy - good luck with your scan coming up! So exciting!!
Kahlan - not sure when your appointment with the specialist is, but I hope it goes well, and that your scan thyroid scan results with the GP tomorrow are positive. I can imagine the scare you've had, but I'm glad it's been detected will be managed now during your pregnancy - can only be a very good thing. Take care.
M2C - I hope things start to settle down some more with the bleeding hun. It's very hard. It could be a number of things, including your cervix just being a little irritated - as your hormone levels increase you develop more blood vessels in and around your cervix, and these can get easily irritated. It especially shows up as pink and brown spotting. It could also be delayed implantation bleeding, as your little bub continues to snuggle deeply into your uterus lining. But it's important to know that there simply might not be an explanation for your bleeding, even after the scan. There wasn't for the bleeding I had. I just think with your levels increasing it's going to be a-ok. Sounds so very positive!
Mon - ooo wow! Nuchal scan coming up! It will be wonderful to have that reassurance that comes from a scan again. You are flying through this trimester! I know it probably doesn't feel like it, as I know the m/s has been rotten - I think you're just doing so well to deal with it as it comes, and being able to focus on the wonderful thoughts you are, despite feeling so unwell physically. Take care, and C&C, look after your mum!
scooby - Awww, Ava was being a cheeky little mite! She decided that she knew you wanted lovely pictures of her face, so decided to flash her other end instead! Clever girl!! Pleased that everything with her growth is so lovely and healthy. The countdown continues! Less than 6 weeks now!
HM - glad you're feeling so connected and in tune with your body, hun, and I'm hoping some of those discomforts continue to ease up, like the m/s and the sore ovary. It's had to be so active producing hormones for all these weeks now - it will ease as you get closer to the end of the 1st trimester. It could also be that your ligaments that hold each side of your uterus are starting to stretch now as everything grows, and that can contribute to pain near where you would expect your ovary to be. I found I had niggly stretching pains on the same side as I ovulated for quite a while as things were growing away. Hope it's not too cold for the bike - I'm finding it soooo cold at the moment!
Big hello and belly rubs to everyone else in the thread - BW, BG, Devon, TL, numa, Janie and those I've missed - hope you all have a relaxing weekend.
Well, I'm booked in for induction on December 18th. I had a really good, constructive appointment with my OB after another growth scan on Tuesday. My OB was honest, communicative and willing to make a plan with me given that I'm not keen for induction. But her arguments for induction based on the GD diagnosis make a great deal of sense, even though I know it's a conservative approach. So the plan is for a few stretch and sweeps in the week or so leading up to induction to try and help get my cervix ready if it's not already getting primed, and I'll be helping to try prepare my body also by doing some acupressure, taking Evening Primrose Oil, that kind of thing. Hopefully CB will be ready to go then! Otherwise if my cervix doesn't look ready at all, we'll reassess the situation on the day induction is due. I won't put CB or myself through a forced induction if I can help it. So in the meantime, it's exciting to have a date and to realise we're less than two weeks away now, even though it's a little daunting too. Come on, CB! Time to make a move now!!
Miss C :)

Ohhh Miss C induction is sooo close  :cheer: looking forward to meet you CB :)
Me: Well it is the Brisbane Breakfast Club today so excited! There was alot of kicks/thumps yesterday and if it was her she was aiming right between my legs and man it hurt! It settled last night

I am going to take the plunge and join in the discussion here :hello:. I am nervous to take steps to acknowledge my pg (ie tempt fate) but I figure I have to start some time and celebrate what I have achieved to date. My PA & ticker were a big step in this direction.
So far it is just a nurse on the end of the phone saying "Dusty your HCG levels are all good". I still haven't even done a HPT to see the result for myself (had 3 BFN POAS in leading up to BT) but I have been quietly telling close friends and doing my visualisations and positive affirmations.
So I look forward to sharing, learning (and growing) with you all.
xx

welcome aboard Dusty!
Miss C - you'll be meeting your bubba so soon - fantastic news hun!

welcome dusty - i was wondering when you'd feel comfortable enough to make the move over here :-)
We're all here for you - it's a great group of gals in here and plenty of room for more.

Hi girls
Nicole - great to hear your scan went well. I had several freakouts and needed scans for reassurance, and of course everything was fine. I think it's pretty normal to worry and to need to see that all is OK. I hope your good news keeps you on a high until your next appointment.
Mon - best of luck for the NT scan on Thursday, I'm sure everything will be fabulous. I felt such a huge weight had been lifted after mine, and things got a lot less anxious from then on. I definitely found that with the early scans I would feel great for a few days, and then the worry would start to creep back, but it really does get easier.
HM - I'm glad to hear the morning sickness is giving you some small breaks! Uggh, I remember how the first trimester felt. Hopefully it will start to fade away before too long. Nice to hear you're getting some other reassuring symptoms, and that you're feeling so positive! You'll be getting little movements before you know it!!
Scooby - oh no! Sorry Ava wouldn't cooperate at your scan, obviously she's a cheeky one. But perhaps it will just make it even more exciting when you see her face properly for the first time? It must be great to know she's such a good size, especially because she's coming out a little earlier than originally planned. Hope you and DS have fun with santa!
miss_c - oh wow! Less than two weeks till you meet CB!! Really glad to hear your ob listened to your concerns regarding early induction. While we all ideally want as natural a birth as possible, I've decided that my ob really does know what he's talking about, and they really do just want to deliver your baby as safely as possible. It's great to hear that you're happy with this approach, and also that they're going to try to start off slowly and see if they can kick things off more naturally. All the things you're going to try sound great, I've heard reflexology can be effective too. You're going to have your baby with you this Christmas - that is so exciting!!
Yay Dusty!!! Welcome! I was wondering if/when you were going to head over here. It'll be great to share your pregnancy over the next few months.
Well I exhausted myself yet again yesterday, I cleaned the house, walked to the shops, did 40 laps in my mum and dad's pool and then went Christmas shopping with my sister. It was too much, I just can't seem to get it into my head that I can't cope with that much anymore. Am going to take it very easy today. On the other hand, I did find some lovely soft PJs and a nightie to wear in hospital at 25% off. I woke up this morning feeling so excited that I'm going to meet our baby very soon - 7 weeks to go on Monday. I still can't really believe that this is happening.
Huge :bellyrubs: to those I've missed, hope everyone is having a lovely Saturday.

Woo Hoo Dusty, glad to see you here :leap:
Miss C, glad to hear that I'm not alone in feel like you need reassurance.
It is still so weird when I look at the 12 week scan and see our little bug and then just imagine that he/she is floating around somewhere under the fat rolls
Best of luck to you and hope the two weeks fly so you can finally meet your bubba
Devon, holy crap 40 laps...and on top of a busy day your incredible!!!
Lots of :bellyrubs: :bellyrubs: :bellyrubs: Mon, HM, Scooby, BG, Luckstrike and anyone else I have missed. Enjoy the rest of your weekend ladies.....
AFM, finally finished Christmas Shopping yesterday with my mum and gave her a great but funny gift. I bought a couple of those blank snow globes and put a picture either side of the 6 week scan and 12 week scan. DH and I also have one and it just looks so sweet!!
Had some funny flutters today near my belly button which made me laugh. They started on Thursday and seem to only happen at night or after I have had a shower?? Have no idea if it is our little bug but gee it felt funny

Yay dusty! Glad you're here, hun. So pleased you've made the step
