but i am a little worried about it being to early and not seeing a HB

hun, my first scan was 6w1d by trigger shot timing - baby measured 5w3d - we seen nothing external except a sac, but internal scan showed a lovely little beating hearted blob! don't let them say it's too early - press for internal - being that it's an AC pregnancy (even if it IS timed intercourse/IUI ish) - they should check viability and to make sure it's not ectopic

yeah fs said its going to be internal scan and he also said that if its to early ( the scan) then he will get me back in a week later and do another scan.
bg what do you mean by trigger timing?? did you go by how many weeks it was that you had trigger and thats how far along pregnant you were?? well if thats the case there is NO WAY i am going for a scan now, cos i had trigger shot on the 11th nov and that means i will only be 4 bl*ody weeks pregnant, damn :wall: i was so happy to reach 6 weeks today!!! and if thats the case and i am only 4wks then arent my levels a little high??? ooohhhhh i dont know its all so confusing
nah i took trigger day (well, 36 hours later) as O day - so two weeks into cycle (day 14 on a standard 28 day cycle if i'd had one) - it appears i either ovulated very late, we conceived very late, implanted very late - or had a small bubba cos my "guesstimate" of date was about five days out on the scan dates. i went back three weeks later for another scan and we'd caught up a little - so i'm just cruising now!
M2C - I think BG may be referring to knowing exactly when ovulation was because ovulation is able to be timed exactly from the trigger shot (I think it's 34-36 hours after trigger - I'm not sure if I'm remembering correctly, but it's around that much). It still means that you add two weeks on to the date when you ovulated to get the overall age of the pregnancy, so please don't worry, hun - you're definitely 6 weeks pregnant! The other way to know the age of a pregnancy before an early scan is from your last AF, which is basically the same as adding two weeks to your ovulation date, but the calculations from ovulation are meant to be a little more accurate in terms of dating your pregnancy (as not all woman ovulate exactly two weeks after AF - as BG has said happened for her :)).
I was the same as BG - I had my first scan at 6 weeks 1 day. Baby measured at 6 weeks exactly, and there was a beautiful little heartbeat. My scan was internal also - the doctor I saw didn't even bother with trying to see externally what was going on. I don't think it will be at all early with an internal scan to see your bubs heartbeat. I hope the time goes quickly, hun. It will give you lots of reassurance come scan time. Will be watching out to hear how it all goes!

BW - last week, finally! I've been counting down for you! ;) I hope it doesn't go by too slowly, and that at the end of it you can really put your feet up for a good little while, before Munchkin comes (early, early, we hope!). Because of my induction (and wanting to avoid c/s), I'm like you - really *really* wanting to get CB to come out early, if possible. I've been doing lots of research on things to do to prepare your body for labour naturally and to try and get the ball rolling - starting to try a few things now. I can let you know how it goes, if you'd like, so you can see if there's anything that could help Munchkin's entrance.
Megan - hope the tiredness keeps away for a while yet, and that you've just had a busy few days. I found I wasn't getting tired again all the time until into the 3rd trimester, but I did have little packets of days here and there in the 2nd trimester that felt pretty ordinary energy-wise - I would pick up after a couple of days though - hope the same happens for you.
Janie - glad your 24 week appointment went so well, and no signs of PE! I'm another one who really felt a weight lift after I got to 24 weeks - just knowing that the baby was starting to have a decent chance at survival. It was at that time and week by week after that I finally was able to start relaxing little by little, more and more as things progressed. Not long till your in the 3rd trimester now - how exciting!
Nic - I have an anterior placenta as well. I felt what turned out to be tiny movements (but only occasionally) from 16 weeks but it wasn't until 20-21 weeks until I started feeling regular movement that was strong enough to really feel sure, even though I was told the sensations I had before that were likely to be movement also. A midwife told me with an anterior placenta not to expect regular movement anywhere until up to 24 weeks, I felt surprised when I was feeling regular movement earlier than that, and it was great. If you can take that as a marker, anything beforehand is really reassuring. I hope your scan next week gives you lots of reassurance too.
scooby - so glad you've got through the party intact. Your DH made me laugh though - and his snoring! :doh: I hear you on the pelvis and sleep. I've found if I can balance/spread my legs slightly so that my weight is evenly distributed over both legs when I'm lying on my side instead of one on top of the other it can help quite a lot. When I'm holding one leg directly on top of the other, that's when the pain tends to be the worst.

Hi ladies
Well here I am... after 3 years of TTC and 3 complete dismal failure IVF cycles... we have somehow managed to fall pg naturally. Just found out this morning from HPT and I am still in shock...so many crazy and irrational thoughts going through my head at the moment. I have this urge to go and POAS again just in case I did it wrong this morning (logically I know this is not possible) or that we have had a false positive, although the positive line came up almost straight away and is very dark. I haven't worked up the courage to make an appointment with my GP yet for a BT but maybe tomorrow I will. I am so worried about jinxing this... a few months ago we got to about this point and had a miscarriage so I am sure it will be a restless night's sleep tonight, just as it was last night.
Sorry, to have rambled, but DF has encouraged me to post because he knows what a strength all the BB ladies and men have been for me in the past, and he even helped me design the ticker.
Anyway, I have quite a bit of reading to catch up...will try to do that over the next few days.

So much to catch up on !! I have been crazy busy at work lately and traveling as well and by the end of the day, I just don't have the energy to do anything but crawl into bed. Late afternoon MS is not helping :)

AFM - getting used to the MS and almost ready to count down sleeps to 12 week scan. Having bloods done on Friday so that feels like another milestone. DH leaves for the States on Monday for 3 weeks, we were both going back for his family Christmas but I am going to stay put , don't want to be that far away from OB etc. This week is a rush to get everything done around the house before he leaves and then it is me, the pooch and the bub on board for 3 weeks !

2008 has been quite an incredible year for natural and IVF pg for BB LTers. I wish everyone was over here by now but I hope they wont be far behind.

Cheryl - this is just the BEST news - i was rather excited when BW sms'd me last night to tell me - but had no power to connect to the net when i got home to post! PALTTTC has been a fantastic support - i think we all get how surreal it is, and understand the craziness that goes with such a heartbreaking journey to get here! we'll be here for you hun.
welcome little Gizmo too! hopefully taking the nicer name (we took Gremlin cos implantation HURT like a gremlin tryin to escape my tum!) means you'll have a much nicer first tri than i had!
to everyone else - good morning! not a lot to say today - a bit stressy with first OB appointment today. i get anxious before all major appointments, but i think this one is worse cos i have no choice but to go to Ob which means he's going to be looking for complications. plus the UTI this past week has worried me a little. lots of extra niggles that i don't know whether it's infection related or something not uite right - or whether it's all completely normal and i'm just popping out!
:hug: BG, I'm sure things will be fine. Just because the OB is on the lookout for problems doesn't mean he'll be trying to find them where they don't exist. Or maybe I've just got a good one who's content to let me trundle along as long as things are ok, but as soon as things look not-quite-right, she's on top of it. Good luck today, and I hope it's not as bad as you are thinking.
No more time today... last day with kids and Munchkin appears to be trying to grind my sciatic nerves to dust, meanwhile I'm on the lookout for waterbombs... it will be a long, long day, I fear!
