Kahlan, I have had similar bouts on and off - particularly in the 2nd trimester. It might last a day or a week. Work is a major source of stress for me at the moment, along with renovations, baby not moving (ok now, but last week was hard), I find it really difficult to make decisions that involve our finances including buyign baby stuff. This is all everyday stuff that I need to deal with and I don't want to palm off to DH. Sometimes he is the one who sets me off crying, nothing to do with him really, but sometimes it gets to the point where I think becuase I love him so much it means more when he snaps at me? KWIM?
I can usually feel the stress/depression building for a few days and then all it takes is one tiny thing to set me off
- if it's really hot and I'm lying on the couch and I can't breathe properly = meltdown.
- get home after a tough couple of days and see the size of my ass in the mirror = meltdown.
- thinking too much about what can possibly go wrong with pregnancies in general = meltdown.
- thinking tioo much about what would happen if anything happened to DH = meltdown.
What I have found that really helps is Acupuncture and practicing the Calm Birth techniques. Focusing on me and the baby and my DH instead of all the rest of the elevator music (that's what I call it - you might not like it, but it's there and it's a part of life, but it's not really that important).
