M2C - my heart goes out to you, I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Take care,
LNB
Finished the GT test :crossfingers: it is all ok I felt alright just wanted to get rid of that sugar taste. Had a crash around 3pm though think that may have been beacuse of the drink
I think everyone does it not sure
just a quick one for now - only just home from scan
was messed about with bad booking this arvo but it all got sorted - and we found out we're having a perfect pink Gremlin!
BG- Congrats on finding out you are having a little girl. How very exciting for you.
TL- Glad all went well with the test.
Night night all
Bel
xx
Oh BG that is great news. A baby girl on the way....oh yay...now go shopping hun!!
BG and Megan- Re the movement. There are a couple of things that make me feel like it is it...usually halfway through my meal and it is more on my right side and always in the same spot. My right side feels more firm than the left and i feel like the bubs has implanted on the right side for that reason. I have felt it a few times and it is different to bowel stuff or wind...much softer and smoother....hope it stays that way..LOL But last night it was more definite because i wasn't looking for it at the time and just felt it during dinner. I will keep it quiet for a bit longer and just tell BB girls because most people...midwife etc thinks it is too early to feel anything...hey what do they know.
Decided to miss scan and go for the 19-20 week one. I will go tomorrow with empty bladder and just see if tey can pick up a heartbeat with dopler thingo...that will be nice.
Scooby- thanks hun...yeah I think i will miss it and go for the 19-20 week one. You know the hardest part for me is to make the decision before i go...because if i didn't the sheer excitement of seeing our baby will take over. The worry has not been much of an issue for me luckily, I have just known everything is ok and felt fine with that. Of course you sometimes wonder if everything is forming right and bubs is healthy and perfect...but i can't do much about that and this baby was meant for us.
Oh how exciting...I can feel our bubs.
Ok...boxes arrived so that means i am out.if you see me in here than I am avoiding packing and leaving it to the last minute...not a good idea when my intention is to take it easy....so boot me up the bum.
Love and wishes to you all
HM xoxo
p.s. sorry about the selfish posts from me lately....I am a bit self focused right now. Sorry.xoxo
Yay :) Congrats BG on your pink bundle!!
HM, My right side is always harder than my left. Thats where most of my early movement was, and it was definitely where bub spent most of his time. I wouldn't worry about what the midwives say. Every pregnancy is different, and some people are very aware of whats going on their bodies.
Have fun packing! :)
TL, well done on the GTT. I definitely crashed after mine, but it was very soon after and I didn't have a good result.
Hi Everyone
I have found some time to pop in again!
Had y 19 weeks U/S yesterday and little bub is looking great. Saw 2d and 4d shots and it was amazing. Baby was moving around during the scan so that was good to see. Cant wait until baby is born now, I am very excited after yesterday.
Nicole and BG congratulations on your U/S's also..... Nicole we also decided not to know the sex, so we have a little wait now! .....BG congratulations on your little girl. You'll have so much fun dressing up a girl and putting little clips in her hair. I used to love dressing up my daughter and taking her out when she was little and while I was still on maternity leave.
Congratulations on all the new pregnant women. Sorry I cant remember all the names as I had so many pages to catch up on. Wishing you all healthy and happy pregnancies and looking forward to chatting with you all.
Kaydee- WOW you made it here! I am so happy for you. I knew you were having a FET and recently started trying to track you down but couldn't find any posts from you. Great news about the twins too, that is all fantastic news, you must have been so excited when you found out and saw the 2 hearts flickering at the U/S. Hope you have a great pregnancy and looking forward to chatting to you again.
HippyMum - Sounds like you have some busy days ahead! The nanny work will be good practice for you :) Moving back to Australia, that is great! You'll have to start thinking about booking hospitals once you have a better idea of when you'll be back, or apprently (not sure how true this is) but you might have trouble getting a place in the hospital/birthing centre of your choice.
Big hello to everyone else. Sorry I have been so busy lateley and rarely get a chance to log in so when I post, its after reading many pages of posts and I dont always remember who said what :) I am thinking of all of you all even though I dont get to do many personals.
Been running around the house doing things and didnt realise it was so late. Better go to sleep so I can get up early and face another Friday at work!
Luckystrike- glad scan went well and all is good with you!
BG- yay- a little pink bundle for you! congratulations
HM- feeling that movement must be wonderful!! good luck with all the packing!
TL- good luck with those results
afm- recovered from my tummy bug from last weekend/ early this week....but still feeling queasy on and off and experiencing cold shivers...maybe this is a pregnancy symptom now?- anyone else have cold hivers with the sick feeling? Thing is, it isnt necessarily in the morning, or even worse in the morning...I felt worse last night...mmm
Luckystrike, congrats on your scan...know it's the joy of waiting if our little ones will be pink or blue
BG, Congrats on finding out your having a girl great news!!!
TL, well done on the GTT.
Bel, welcome back and congrats on hitting 15 weeks...woo hooooo
AFM, am in Wagga and everyone is sleeping including my DH.
How any one can sleep in the country is a wonder with all the animals outside.
Showed the IL the DVD yesterday which was really nice to share this with them.
Have a great Friday all
aww nic! animal noises are so much nicer to wake up to than the hustle and bustle of the city
and Wagga is HUGE compared to here! it's so serene - i can't do city living at all
Hello all,
Finally found time to drop in, and I cant belive how much has been happening - some sad and some good. As usual I'll be flat out catching up, but oh well...
M2C - it was so sad to read your post - I'm so sorry that your little one has gone, and that your pain was only compounded by not being able to hold your DD when you needed to. I dont know what else to say other than
Mel77 - good luck with your upcomming scan - hope it all goes well :crossfingers:
Alloy - congrats on the twins - what wonderful news and as Bel pointed out - you will not be on your own on that journey. Wishing you all the best with the pg!
Bel - glad that you are back around and doing well - as are your two wonders - take care!
NicoleS, BW and LuckyStrike - glad that all have gone well with your 19 week scans and that everything is progressing as it should. Congrats BW on the little girl...very exciting!
Possums - glad that you are feeling better and now seem to be only suffering from the pg - I too am feeling colder (i thought we were meant to feel warmer when pg)...so maybe we are sharing symptoms!
HM - hope that you are feeling movement - what a great milestone to get to!
To everyone else - hello - and hope that everyone is well - sending lots of :bellyrubs:
AFM - feeling ok - tired by no MS really, just when I dont eat as much as my body would like. Still no sore BB and so apart from that fact that I keep looking at my scan pictures, I would not know that I was pg - except for the bruised belly from my injections :wall:. Hanging out for next scan to make sure things are still on track. Am stuggling to see how I am going to reduce work stress as things keep coming up that increase the blood pressure. Told my boss that I was pg and high risk and that I needed to reduce travel etc - not sure what I expected but while he was ok with it he did not really have much in terms of practical advice on how he was going to help achieve that - so I guess it will be all up to me - which is not so good as I am not good at saying 'no'. I hope it gets easier when we get past 12 months and I can explain to people that I have a good reason for saying 'no' etc - but we will see. I work in a male dominated area so should not really hang out for much understanding!
Talking of work, should really get back to it.
Thinking of you all.
FG
FarmGirl - I know exactly what you mean about stressful jobs. I've also got a stressful job (long hours, high pressure etc). It can be so hard to say "no" - and I've spent 2+ years saying "yes" to everything, being totally stressed and not pregnant. When I finally decided enough was enough, I took 6 weeks off, had my FET and here I am - nearly 7 weeks pregnant. I really don't know if it was the time off that helped me fall pregnant, but it certainly didn't hurt! My advice to you (which I'll also be taking throughout this pregnancy) is - work will always be there...it is definitely worth it to step down a gear, knowing you're looking after your little miracle, and (the hardest for me) don't worry about what other people think. People will either understand or they won't. But the most important thing is to look after yourself and your baby. I hope this doesn't sound like a sermon (!) I think it is also directed at me too :D
BG - congrats on your girl!
HM - good luck with the move
Lucky - well done on the u/s
Possums - good luck in the lead up to next week's scan!
Hi :hello: to everyone else!
Take it easy, Mels xx
good morning ladies!
not much to say here except im feeling good physically but emotionally hanging in there, my DF was turned down a promotion in the army because he opened his big mouth and blabbed we were expecting during the 6 hour assessment and interview and they said coz we were expecting to reapply in 12 months i feel so discrimminated against he would only be gone for 3 4 months tops in april and i just think this is totally unfair! we are writing a letter of appeal im very upset and feel almost like this wasnt the right time to fall preg. just a week ago i was over the moon now im just crying all the time. and very stressed. anyway thats enough from me sorry for the self centered post just need to vent.
have a nice day everyone! belly rubs!
FG, I understand the work stress too. I told my boss straight away that I was pregnant and that I needed to take it easy. By my 16week appt by BP was too high, I wasn't sleeping and it was stressing me out too much. They weren't interested in helping me, saying No just wasn't what they were willing to hear. They just wanted the work done, and that meant doing a lot more than 40hrs per week, and I just wasn't going to do it. I left when I was 19w and haven't worked since. BP is now normal and I'm better off. I hope your bosses are a lot more understanding than mine!
Hi everyone
Just grabbed a free moment to log on and catchup. Wow - so much has happened over 2 days!
M2C - I cried when I read your post. I am so sorry for your loss and angry that your ex wouldn't give up your DD when you needed her the most. I can understand why he is your ex! Look after yourself hun, we're all thinking of you
BG - :hooray: for your little :stork-girl: girl. I'm sure she will be as beautiful as her lovely mum!
Bell - hope your bt went well yesterday. I can't offer any advice to you re the progesterone levels but I can say that you did the right thing by posting here. The ladies are wonderfully supportive and very knowledgeable about all things TTC and pg, so stick with it. Good luck with your pg.
21 - that seems really unfair to rule your DF out for promotion based upon your pg. Good on you for appealing - hope you get the result you are both wishing for.
FG & Mels - I agree with you on the stressful job front. 2 out of the 3 years we were TTC I was in an awful job that I absolutely hated; I am sure changing jobs was part of the puzzle of us TTC. And then just after we got our BFP I got an offer to go for a job interview for a senior (and therefore stressful) job. After our 8wk scan I told them I was withdrawing due to 'a change in personal circumstances'. The job will always be there and my baby and my health comes first, even though the extra money would have been nice, it's not that important. So good on for you making the decisions you have to make your healthy pg the number one priority!
Nic - hope your enjoying your holiday in the country side!
Lucky - congrats on your scan result.
HM - stop procrastinating and get to packing those boxes (only kidding!). I hope you get to feel lots more of those movements very soon!
Bel - welcome back - 15 weeks - that is excellent news - and you are sounding so much more confident and positive in yourself. Take care of those twins!
LNB - thanks for sharing your experience of scans and tests. It makes me feel that we have made the right decision.
To everyone else, lots of :bellyrubs:
AFM, am feeling a bit better now that I have changed my breakfast from carb based to protein/carb. Although it was kind of comforting getting the MS symptoms - we're strange things aren't we? Bought a wedding dress today - the lady in the shop was so wonderful and she has offered to not make any alternations until a week before the wedding. At the moment it fits beautifully, but I have no idea what I will be like by the end of Feb! We're off to Melbourne for the weekend to finalise our wedding plans, do some shopping and catch up with friends. Hope you all have a relaxing weekend!
Take care
xx
Hi ladies,
I am back from my holidays! I had a wonderful time with only a few minor hiccups... but am feeling very well with MS almost gone and I am gaining back my energy. My NT scan and BT indicates very low risk of Down Syndrome so yay!
Wow some new faces and I have a lot of catching up to do.
congrats Possum....welcome back. regarding MS, mine kicked in at 6.5 weeks and all of a sudden too. We had a family day out and I was full of energy but by 6 pm I was completely tired. I slept in the car all the way home and since then I haven't been feeling well. Initially I thought I was down with food poisoning or something but then it lasted from week to week with increase nausea I concluded that it was MS.. and then from week 12 I suddenly had some good days...feeling more energised.... didn't fall asleep at 6-7 pm and then MS slowly dissappeared. Anyway that is a summary of my experience.
I think I am addicted to ultrasound.... it has been over 2 weeks since my last scan and I am wondering how my bub is doing.... really want another scan...
Hi everybody,
I am getting bigger and bigger and more uncomfortable as the days transpire. I feel useless as I have no energy to do anything. DH has been so accommodating and supportive, however is working 12hrs a day x7 days a week and I feel slack asking him to do stuff like the housework, but he does. He's the best. Starting to get uncomfortable all the time and hard to find a position to sit and lie down. The babies take turns kicking and moving, however are now doing it at the same time aswell! My belly is so sore. I sneeze and it feels like I am tearing apart from the inside! And now I am getting the flu to top it all off. Plus MS has re-appeared and why not to add to the rest of my complaints! Am freaking out about giving birth, but hey it's going to happen so I need to get my head around it. Sick of people telling me grose birth stories, has got my head in a spin. I'm now telling people I do not want to hear about it.
Well that's my 10cents worth for today. I'm just a grumble bum!
Take Care everybody, Queenh
