Wow, I'm gone for 10 days & look what happens, awesome.

Sal, fantastic on finding out ur having a boy.

Sushee, great to have ur first scan done isn't it, its just awesome, it certainly brought a tear to my eye, especially after they couldn't find a fetus thru my bladder, but then did an internal usound & there was the little fetus & got to see & hear the hbeat, thats when I shed a few tears.

Blue & Babydreams, awesome news, congrats, glad u r here.

Carrie, wow, how scary & exciting at the same time, you'll have to change ur ticker now, when u get time that is. :-) My girlfriend was induced @ 35wks & bub was 3pnd, she's small for her age, but only spent about 2 wks in NICU (they thought she'd be there 5wks), she's just fine. Wow, bet u can't wait til u can bring her home.

Amy, glad to hear your scan went well. LMAO, you crack me up. Yikes bout the runs, I've got the opposite. I thought roids were from straining too hard, which would be more likely from being clogged up.

Tiff, I know exactly how u feel, I felt the same way. Don't feel that way though, you earned it. :-)

Jo, awesome on feeling some movement in there.

Blue, hang in there, it is a very scary experience, my girlfriend had brown spotting & cramps for 1/2 a day between 5-6wks & I did for 1 day (www, milestones) but cramps lasted bit longer (started light), but all is well. It doesn't make it any less scary though, the sonographer said it is around the time the placenta is digging in even further. The tests helped put my mind at ease & the hospital said not to feel silly for over-reacting as I did the right thing by coming in to get checked. They did the scan the next day & got HCG 26,054 (6wks), unfortunately though, the lady in the ward next to me wasnt as lucky. But I am told that many women experience spotting in pregnancy. As for EDD, my GP & my Gyn (2nd u/s) said 14/4 = 38wks from conception (ovul & insem), but hospital u/s showed 16/4 = 40wks from LMP, well I'm gonna stick with 14/4.

Hayseed, wow, has it been 8 wks already, gees time flies.

NZ was great, but cold. Got to ski for almost 2 days, instructor said I had good balance & thought I must have ski'd b4 (maybe from 8yrs of ballet previously, having to balance & point shoes, rubbed it into DH, hehehe), so was stoked with that. Hanmer Springs & Queenstown would have to be my faves. The Fox Glacier scenic helicopter & glacier landing would have to be the highlight of the trip though, just spectacular. Well, we over indulged the whole time we were away & now I'm paying for it, I've put on 3kg's, I'd like to think it's bubby, but nope not that much. So back to the healthy diet again, will have to start doing some exercise.

My girlfriend had a baby boy Sat 27Aug, 7pnd 7 I think, 5hr labour, to get all the goss shortly. Was supposed to be visiting her this arvo, but caught a cold whilst I was away, so waiting for it to vacate quickly, so I can go visit. 2nd scan went well today, was only an external scan this time at the IVF clinic, just a little blob, didn't even get to hear the hbeat, they just measured it, quite different to the way the 'sonographer' @ JHH did. Got pickies on CD this time.
