Hi Ladies
I hope you don't mind me dropping in...my DH and I have been TTC for 8 years and finally have our BFP...thought I'd be sooooo excited but I'm actually more worried than ever...have had a ruptured ectopic and 3 m/c's on the way...has anyone got any tips on how to get rid of this big black cloud?????
Hi girls,
Introducing myself finally, after 10 years TTC I think I qualify for this thread lol. I am pleased to report we have our longed for BFP and I am almost 5weeks. Not far really, and a loooong way to go but very exciting for me. I am trying to do the postitive thinking thing till we get at least to 12 weeks but little fears keep niggling. Like Ellie, I would like to just let the fears go and enjoy my pg time.... any tips?
Warning, I love to chat on here so lets rev this thread up!!!!! Hope you are all feeling good and ms passes soon for those it is bothering (I havent got to that delightful bit yet)
Cheers all!
Sazz
Monnie, hope you enjoyed your weekend in Sydney - how good was the weather?!
Jo - glad to hear your m/s has eased, but now it's something else... When does this journey start being fun?? I hope the heartburn isn't too bad for you. I'm the same as you - completely off chocolate - I've still got Easter eggs on my desk at work. I usually LOVE chocolate and have to eat it every day. Now I can't stand the thought of it. It's weird isn't it?
Ellie - CONGRATULATIONS!!! Not sure about the black cloud - we all seem to have our worries, it's not easy. Try to be positive and I hope all goes well.
Sazz - CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU TOO!!! 10 years? WOW, you must be over the moon!! Try to stay positive, and I hope the next 7 weeks go fast for you.
I'm ok, munching on dry saladas trying to help my m/s.... I just want the next 2 weeks to go by so I can tell the world that I'm pg!!!! Arrgghhh.... it's so hard!
sammiL you will start to feel heaps better soon and the 2nd tri is so much fun
Jane: I hope everythng is ok? Please email me d85@aapt.net.au
I really want to keep posted about the rest of your pregnancy and birth and beyond. I hope everything is ok. Please email me
Thanks Danni,
A question for anyone who had OHSS with their early preg... how long did symptoms last?
no m/s for me yet but not quite up to 6 weeks yet so we will see...
Tellling the folks on Mothers day.. I am a bit nervous!
Sazz
Welcome Sazz and Ellie...so wonderful to have you along!!! Just great great news!!!
I understand a little about the "big black cloud"...but probably not to the same extent...I haven't had any ectopics or miscarriages...just didn't get a BFP for 3 years! My only way of getting through it, was just to think that this is "the best it's ever been for us"...and every day is a bonus...that seemed to help a little...
Now I'm 26 weeks, I don't worry anymore (well...perhaps just a little!)
Sazz...all the best in telling your folks...what an exciting time! My parents are just so thrilled for us...it's wonderful!
So sorry to hear you're going Jane...I hope everything goes wonderfully for you! Take care!
A HUGE WELCOME to Ellie & Sazz finally!
You ladies have been so brave & strong to go through all these years ttc but now your dream is finally coming true & I am so thrilled for you both.
Ellie - I know what you mean about worrying but I find I just have to try & stay positive & of course being busy helps.
Sammi Jane - hang in there, hopefully the two weeks fly by for you.
Danni - hope you are well, I can't believe your little man is almost 4weeks old!!!
Well I had my 12 week scan yesterday & got the all clear for down syndrome & a few other things which was a huge relief as was seeing & hearing the baby's heartbeat again.
My Dh was able to come with me this time & I think (he doesn't say too much, men hey) he was blown away by how much we could actually see!
Our Dr has the 3d images & to see them it is absolutely AMAZING!
To actually see the little calf muscles on it's legs & arms made me so emotional because it is so real now.
I asked the Dr is the baby moves much so he asked me to cough & the reaction of my stomach pushing the baby & then obviously the baby didn't like it because he/she started moving around.
Before I coughed it's legs & arms were crunched up snug as a bug & after it's arms & legs were kicking out, sorry to be going on about it but it was so unreal & makes you realise just how much of a miracle a baby is.
So the important stats are that it's 6.6cm in length & they have moved my due date a day before.
Have a fantastic weekend everyone.
Jo - 27 (treated endo)
Dh - 34
TTC #1 since June 2005
Secound chlomid / IUI March 2007 -
for those of you who havent seen it yet, there is a post from Baby~Amore in the "messages for other members" section about the passing of Chris (Confused Egg)
I'm so sad to read the news about Chris. My heart goes out to her husband Warren and baby William.
I do hope that everyone is doing well.
I had my N/T scan last Monday and all is well with bub, although s/he would not cooperate very well for it lol. The scan took well over an hour as bub wouldn't get into the right position. It was so funny because towards the end the dr was starting to get a little frustrated. Bubs is extreamly active and kept wanting to sit upright and roll over onto its tummy and then would lay on its back but had its head turned to the side not letting dr get the measurements needed. Bub eventuallly decided to behave and we were able to get results we needed. Each time I've had a scan the drs have all said how active bub is lol. I think its just a sign of things to come.
Not much else to report. Have had a little cramping recently but have just put that down to making more room for bub to grow and move around and have been getting headaches almost everyday.
Sorry to lose you Jane, I hope everything goes well for you.
Jo, glad to hear your scan went well, how exciting to see the baby!! I guess now you can relax and enjoy your pregnancy?
So sad to read about Chris, I didn't know her, but it's so sad to hear of anyone dying young. I feel for the loved ones she has left behind. May she rest in heaven.
Mako, wow, your scan sounds amazing, it would have been great to watch your baby for an hour! Glad to hear all went well.
Well I've got 1 week till my N/T scan. Monday 21st... I can't wait!! I just want the results so I can relax and tell everyone!!!! Hoping for good results obviously. Nervous, due to my age, but feeling confident it will be ok. I will be happy when it's done.
Sammi Jane All the best for your n/t next week. I'm sure everything will turn out just fine for you hun. I was a little worried too but when I went in the dr said that my bloods were ok so that means that the scan should be too. I don't know if she could tell that I was a little tense when I walked in but that did help put my mind at ease.
It was fantastic to lay there and watch my little baby doing its thing in my belly for over an hour although I was sore by the end of it as the dr kept poking me with the doppler to get bub to move into position and dh just kept laughing at me getting poked and seeing bubs reactions.
My results were a 1 in 7580 chance of d/s.So I'm very happy with that reult.
Monnie and everyone else a big hello and lots of belly rubs to all. I hope you are all well.
Hi Girls
I wasn't sure where to post this...but thought you might be able to help...
Since I lasted posted here we have had some less than positive HcG levels...which thank God have sorted themselves out...the day we saw our little one on scan for the first time the levels hadn;t gone up enough...next blood 2 days later was great so FS is sure we were having twins and have lost one...the only other possibility is a heterotopic (one in uterus one in tube)...so I have had the week off work to give this little bub the best chance I can and they will scan me again on Thursday...
This has been a real 'light bulb moment' for me...and I really don't want to go back to work...I spoke to Labour relations today and they said they are happy to offer me sick leave and when that runs out leave without pay...I will also be entitled to 12 weeks paid leave 6 weeks before my due date...
So....after TTC for 8 years do you think I am just being super emotional and should just get on with life...or am I right to give this little one a start free from stress...which work is full of...STRESS? Has anyone else finished work this early...I'd really like to know you're thought?
Ellie - just wanted to post, you do whats best for you love, you dont want any regreats and it sounds to me that you have all ready mmade your mind up! if you can do it and it will make you feel better then do it. GL
Hugs to you Ellie. I really can't offer you any advice regarding the work issue, although I'm sure someone else here might be able to however, I would talk to your dr and see what they suggest. Remember that alot of stress isn't good for you wether you are pregnant or not, so please look after yourself. At the end of the day only you can make the decision. I want to wish you all the best for Thursday and hope all is ok. Please come back and let us know how your scan goes hun.
