Hi Jo, very exciting stuff ordering all those baby things.. I cant wait for that. Good on you for the shopping spree. It must feel great to be getting organised.
Monnie, sorry to hear that all your plans must now change. That is a little worry of mine but in the end it is the mother and baby that matters, as you said, and really it is only hours in the scheme of your entire relationship with this little person. hope your classes improve for you so you dont feel down about that aspect.
Hi everyone else, hope you are all doing well. Is it normal to sometimes feel M/s but other days not. and sometimes morning, sometimes late afternoon? I think I just get it if I havent eaten for a while no matter the time of day. Nothing too bad though, not like my friend who was chucking all day for months, poor thing.
Well, better get organised to go to work tonight, busy weekend coming up so I may not be on for a while. Dont do anything too exciting till I get back on lol lol.

    Hey Sazz

Yep...I really noticed the m/s if I didn't eat...so if I was an hour or so late for breakfast or lunch or dinner...it would rear it's ugly head!

    Mine wasn't too bad...just nausea...

    Have a great weekend!

    Hi Sazz
I used to get m/s whenever I went any longer than 3 hours or so with out food. I also found towards the 8 week mark that it was never as bad and was gone completly by 9 weeks.
Jo It feels so real when you get to go shopping for bub doesn't it. I made my dh go with me at about 11 weeks bub we just went and had a look and chose the bedding and porta cot. We also picked a pram but haven't ordered it yet. We laybyed a carseat a couple of weeks ago too.
Monnie How are you doing hun?

I went and took my admission forms to the hospital today. The lady there also asked if I wanted to do anti natal classes and I said of course I do lol. So I'm waiting for someone to call me to arrange a date etc. It all seems sooooo real now. I've also got a pronounced baby bump now too which has started to grow lots since last Thursday. Still wearing my "normal clothes" but who knows how long for.

Big belly rubs to you all.

Mako - I hope you're feeling better now. How exciting that the baby will come early - I'm sure everything will go smoothly! So when is your due date then? I'm very jealous of all these bumps being mentioned, I don't have much at all.

Sazzafrazz - glad to hear your scan went well, it's so exciting seeing the baby isn't it? You sound exactly like me with the m/s. I have a good day, followed by a bad day... just when I think I'm getting better I feel sick... I'm hoping that it's the end of it though. I sure hope so, it's horrible. I'm looking forward to this 2nd trimester energy that everyone talks about! I hope your m/s goes soon too!!

monnie - I'm sorry to hear you can't have the birth you wanted, but who knows, wasn't it a maybe c/s he said?? You just never know how it will go. I hope you do get the birth you want. And as you say, it doesn't really matter how it all goes, you'll have your beautiful little baby at the end of it all ! I hope you're enjoying your antenatal classes!

Jo - so jealous of your bump and your furniture ordering!!!! We're off to the Pregnancy expo on Sunday so hopefully will make some decisions about what we want from there. It must have been so exciting!!

Not much to report from me. I'm feeling a bit better, although still tired and sometimes sick. Excited about this pregnancy expo this weekend! Looking forward to 'popping' and looking pregnant, and also 2nd trimester energy!! It still feels so surreal that I'm pregnant, to look at me you'd never know.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

    Hi Sammi
I'm starting to feel a bit better today. Don't worry about not having to much of a baby bump atm. Mine only started to pop out a little bit last week (15 weeks) and has popped out even more since then. It's great to have but now I'm starting to think I may need to go shopping for maternity clothes( I really don't like clothes shopping for me) So I'm not looking forward to that part. That probably sounds weird to everyone but anyway thats just me.
I'm also looking forward to the second tri energy kicking in because I've had this nasty infection since about week 14.
I'm thinking about going to the baby expo tomorrow but that depends on how I'm feeling.
I hope you have fun there on Sunday.

Hi Monnie, Jo and Sazz I hope you all have a great weekend.

P.S Do you like my ticker????

    Hey guys

Mako...love your ticker...hope the infection clears soon...the 2nd trimester energy is really lovely, I must say...now I'm in third, it's slowly dwindling out though...the other great thing I found with 2nd trimester, is that I have kept so healthy, despite lots of yucky bugs around me (I work with kids!)...so hopefully that will happen for you too!

Sammi...enjoy the expo...sounds great! You'll pop soon, I'm sure...now that I'm nearly 30 weeks, I'm hoping the 'popping' settles down!!! LOL!!! Actually...I don't feel too big yet, which is nice!

Sazz and Jo...hope you guys are doing well!

As for me, I'm doing pretty well. Still trying to get my head around the whole birth thing (ie. c-section possibility)...but really trying to not focus too much on it...after all these years of TTC, the last thing I want to be is disappointed because everything didn't go exactly to plan...the main plan is we have a baby coming...and that's so exciting!!!

Hope everyone is doing well...take care...

Yeh Monnie You are lucky not to have picked up any nasty bugs. I also work with children (swimming teacher) and I cannot understand why parents bring their kids who are sick in for lessons. No wonder I ended up with this infection. Oh well its expected with the job I suppose.
I'm so looking forward to the energy coming back to me. Hopefully its not far away.
I have to say that you're sounding more possitive now about the birth of your precious Ziggy hun.

    Hi Gals,
Not a whole lot to report here....just soooooo tired all the time. Worked the early today (start at 5.30am) and did NOTHING ever after. Just snoozed on the recliner, read my book, snoozed, watched trashy tv. I am kinda annoyed with being so tired all the time as we really need to get stuck into the garden and get the "spare" room sorted out. (it is a nightmare.. one of those rooms all the junk just gets chucked into). I am 9wks this week so hope I get energy by next month.
Exciting thing... we are having a real holiday (not just a weekend up the road) at the end of july. Booked the flights today, hooray. I will be about 16wks I think when we go to QLD and then Canberra for 2wks. We have friends both places to stay with and I cant wait. We havent had a proper holiday for about 9 years!!! Just a few days here and there and havent gone far. We have been talking about it for so long and I guess the realisation that holidays may not be so easy to organise very soon was the kick in the bum we needed.... Lots to look forward to this year. At new year's I said to myself that this was going to be "the year" and so far, so good!!
    Hope everyone is going well...

Sazz I hope you enjoy your holiday hun. Its so exciting when you have something really nice to look forward to isn't it. I hope the tiredness eases for you soon too. Obviously your positive thinking at new years was the ticket for you sweet. This year is certainly turning out to be a very happy one for you and your dh.

Monnie How are you doing hun? Have you thought any more about the birth of ziggy?

Sammi and Jo I hope you are both well.

As for me I felt bub move for the 1st time yesterday. I was sooo excited and it just felt like butterflies in my tum. I went back to work yesterday too. I'm feeling much better. I think my infection has almost gone which is good.DH and I are supposed to be going camping at the weekend if its not raining. We will be doing it tough lol eg no power, water or toilet. What am I thinking? I must be nuts lol and he wants us to go away the next weekend too also with no power or toilet. I normally don't mind going away to these places but going and being pregnant is a bit of a different story. Oh well the things we do to keep life interesting.

    Hi all,

Mako - It's so exciting having a baby bump isn't it, & you felt your bub move that must have been so amazing.

Sam - sorry to dissapoint you but I'm still waiting for the 2nd tri energy to kick in, hope it comes soon.
    Hope you enjoyed the expo.

Monnie - glad to hear your feeling a bit better, not long now hey?

Well as for me still tired, can't fit into hardly anything anymore & this reflux is driving me crazy!
It just makes me feel so sick & I think I have to try to take something but I am so nervous about taking anything, I have written a post elsewhere & hopefully someone can help me.
Other than that I'm feeling so excited about this bub as it's becoming more & more real each day especially today because I was interviewing people at my work to replace me!

    Hey guys

Well...I can join you all in being tired...think my 2nd trimester "super" hormones have offically stopped...now struggling to get through the day...only 3 more weeks of work to go!!!

Mako...that's so wonderful about feeling your baby move...it's an amazing feeling! I love the kicks I get...totally love them!

Jo...you poor thing with the reflux...horrible, isn't it? I take something called Tums...which is fine for pregnancy (but only from 2nd trimester onwards I think)...I've found it's really helped...I would only rate my reflux mild-moderate though...

Sammi and Sazz...hope you are doing well...getting plenty of rest...

My 2nd trimester energy really didn't start to pick up until about 20+ weeks...but then I had a few months of feeling like "superwoman"...just fantastic!

I'm doing pretty well...still feeling very confused about the whole vaginal delivery vs. c-section...I so wanted to have a natural birth...but really not sure what is going to be happening...I've booked in for a 2nd opinion with another Ob. Don't know if it will help much, as my problem (fibroid embolisation) is a fairly rare one...and there really isn't much on it...

    Oh well...

    Take care all...

Monnie - 3wks of work left must be exciting, I'm trying to decide atm when I will finish although it's a bit hard when you don't know how you will be feeling by the end.
I definately want to finish at least 6wks before but 8 would be great. (in a perfect world I would love to finish now).
It can't hurt to get a second opinion, good luck with it.
Thanks for your advice on the reflux, I'm just so afraid it's going to get worse as I get bigger which is what I have read.
It is such an awful feeling, my specialist's receptionist told me it's ok to have mylanta so I think I will give that a go for now.

Jo I've heard that you can take Rennie tablets/lollies for indigestion. I also had a sample pack in my bounty bag that was given to me when I saw my ob at 10 weeks.

Monnie Wow only 3 weeks to go at work. You must be looking forward to that hun. All the best with the 2nd opinion about your options too.

I'm not sure when I'll be finishing work. I have been starting to think about it a bit more though. Atm I'm thinking about working up until 2 weeks or so before my due date but then on the other hand I've been told not to be suprised if bub comes about 1 month early and I really don't want to go into labor when I'm at work so I really don't know what to do. I'm also not sure when I have to tell my boss when I'll be finishing up either. I'm pretty sure she'll be taking over my lessons as I'm only planning on having about 12 to 14 weeks off and 6 off those are school holidays so I'm not having that much "work" time off if that makes sense. If anyone has any thoughts on this please let me know

    Hi all,
Wow on feeling your first kicks, Mako. I am so looking forward to that part!
I got a bounty bag with rennie in it so I guess that would be ok to take or they wouldnt be allowed to put it in there!
People are already asking how long I will work for... I dont know!!! I am finding there are things already that I cant do, such as lifting, and the others I work with arent making allowances for that yet. I will need to educate them a bit more I think. My boss has been asking me and also when I want to come back.... I work at a petrol station and I am thinking I will just cut out my night shifts to start with (most lifting) and take things as they come. As for after, I will probably do one or two nights a week and that way DH will have alone time with bubs without me looking over his shoulder plus we wont have to worry about child care. Hope things turn out that way!
Mako, is there any way you can do half the shifts you currently do so you dont have to go from all to nothing then back to full on again??? just a thought.

Sazz I only work about 10 hours a week over 3 days and my longest shift is only 3 hours and thats only once a week. The others are 1.5 and 2 hours, so its not really that long away from bubs iykwim. And I only work 5 mins from home and my mil wants to have bub for me during that time which is good. My mum wants to have bub 1 day per week so I think I'll have her here on Fridays as I only work for 1.5 hours and honestly thats long enough to have her around( I know that sounds awful but I can only take her in very small doses and don't want her to be here for a full day when I have to do mornings and arvos the same day) iykwim.
All the best in trying to educate your work collegues hun. It can be a difficult task as I found out last week when I was really sick and had to have the week off. I had to cancel all of my lessons as no one would cover for me GRRRR.

Mako - you definately have to make extra time if there is a chance you might go early.
I think if you can afford to it is nice to have a few weeks for yourself because once bub comes it's going to be pretty full on.

Sazz - so many people have been asking me when I will leave & come back but how does anyone know that, life never goes to plan!
I think your supposed to let your boss know in writing 10wks before you leave & your intended time off, kinda hard though isn't it.
I don't think my boss realises that I can actually have 12 months maternity off if I want, I guess she is thinking I will want to come back much earlier but you know I am getting so attached to my bump already that what if I don't want to go back to work?

I have worked since I was straight out of school & I would love to be able to stay at home with bub, hopefully finances will allow this.

Hope everyone else is going well, there have been so many ltttc that have had their BFP lately that I thought we would have heaps of newcomers but they haven't arrived as yet. (kinda good in a way because at least I can keep up with everyone on here).

We have our 19wk scan on the 29th June - should we find out the sex???

Mako - we posted at the same time!
Anyway working 10 hours a week now I know why you said finishing 2wks before would be ok (I was thinking is this girl serious, lol because I thought I was being greedy wanting at least 6wks off).
I work 31 hours one week & 38 the next week as a manager & I am really starting to feel the affects it's taking on my body especially being tired which I know everyone can relate to.

It's really great that you have lots of willing baby sitters so you can go back to work!
Sorry you had no one to do your shifts last week, I think it's awful that people don't cover for you I mean hey we all have a pretty good reason.

I am experiencing a co-worker who is always having little digs about my pg & I am just about ready to clock her one.

She says 'it's not an illness your only pg' or 'you're know worse than I was', how the hell would she know she was pg like 20years ago & she didn't work when she was pg so that really gets up my nose.

The really funny thing is I hardly ever complain, it's only when someone asks that I will say things & in 4 months of being pg I have not had one sick day even though there were days when I should have had them.

Thanks for listening to that little whinge ladies & I hope Sazz that you get some help soon.

Hi Jo, Feel free to whinge whenever you want hun. It always feels so much better. I would have clocked that lady weeks ago if I were you and I'm not a violent person in the slightest. People have absolutely no idea of what you are going through as each and every pregnancy and woman is different. I don't blame you for wanting atleast 6 weeks off before bub arrives. I would love to take that too but I know thats really not posible for me for a few reasons. Anyway most people would cut back their work hours when they are pregnant but not me, I've just agreed to take on more for next term. We'll see how that pans out only because 1 girl is leaving and the other refuses to do any more days(she only works 5 hours as it is)and the boss won't employ another teacher for a few hours a couple of times a week. I refuse to work Mondays as this is the day I have my scans done for bub and I know how hard it is to get someone to fill in for me.I had to explain this to my boss today so atleast she understands.
Sorry this is my vent for the month lol.

I hope you all have a good weekend. Its absolutely flogging down rain atm so I guess I'll be home for the weekend. I really didn't want to go away as I said a few days ago. I guess my wishes came true lol.
