Hi Everyone, just popped in on a 5min break from work.

Brunette, I don't think I have morning sickness, maybe a bit of nausea after about 5pm or so, heaps of wind pains (TMI), and still spotting (brown).....
Sorry to hear that you're now on bed rest til 12 weeks - what are you going to do on the weekend for the move?

Brunette - I am glad your scan went well and its a good sign if you can see 2 heart beats still. Sorry about the bed rest that must be difficult epecially when it sounds like you have a lot happening ATM. It will be all worth it in the end though im sure.

Londonmiss- thanks yeah i find when i eat i feel ok but about 1/2 hr after i start to feel crap again. I am trying to nibble on dry crackers all day but i am getting really sick of those. Have just discovered how great plain chips and apple juice are though!

I went a saw GP yesterday and really didn't like him, i walked in and he asked what was wrong, i told him i was pregnant and he looked at me as if to say 'well what do you want me to do about it!!' I found a great pregnanct/baby doc in newcastle but her books were full so i told a little white lie about who recommended her and guess what she can fit me in!!!So i now have another doc app next thursday.

I'm quite excited... drum roll..... fanfare ... it's my last day at work today. Let joy be unconfined. I've got two 4000 word essays to do and an exam and then I'm a full time Mother!!! Hurrah hurrah hurrah.

(can you tell I'm excited )

LondonMiss - woo hoo for you for finishing work!!! I don't know how I managed to fit work in, i've been so busy since I finished up, yet if you were to ask me what i've been doing it doesn't sound like much at all! Have you been a good little expat girl and voted this week?!

Renee - glad you got in to see the doctor of your choice, even if you did have to tell a little white lie. What she doesn't know won't hurt her! So another Newcastle girl huh - there were a few before but they've had their babies now. DH is from Newcastle so it's where all my in-laws are. I like Newcastle, just not the family there...!!

Brunette - sorry to hear about the blot clotting and the bed rest honey, but I definitely think you should take comfort in seeing the heartbeats and I know it's going to be incredibly hard, but make the most of your 'resting' time and relax as much as possible And post all day if you have to - afterall, you'll have LondonMiss and myself on here too since we'll be bored housewives

CK77 - hope all is going well and you manage to keep the nausea at bay!

Paula - glad to hear Tiana is making her presence known! I think the Chicklet is getting too big now for kicks etc., as I hardly ever feel them any more, though I can feel her moving around in there, and like you, I love watching my belly moving from side to side!

Miss K - how are you going? Still with us here?!

AFM - Well I think today I might start washing the baby clothes while it's (a little bit) sunny. Then again, the house magazine I subscribe to arrived yesterday and it seems a lovely day to snuggle on the couch reading. I seem to go through phases of day on/day off of cleaning and being active! Yesterday was a cleaning/baking today so it seems today might be a lazy day...

Hello to everyone else, hope you're having a super Friday in preparation for the weekend!

Pregnancy brain!!! I was wondering why i havnt received any replies to my post.... i didnt even post!!! I thought i did!!

Newbies~ Welcome. To those who were asking about no morning sickness,i was in the same boat.I was on here asking the same questions, thinking that it wasnt good if i wasnt sick.I got my + at 4 weeks with a beta of 400 which was quite high for that stage.
I had NO changes in my breasts, cramping and no sickness. Then at exactly 6 weeks,i ran to the bathroom feeling sick and dry reaching because of smelling something.I never really got sick apart from that but couldnt stand the smells of things and lost my appetite.I lost 2 kgs in the first trimester due to no appetite and things smelling yuck.My breasts didnt start to hurt til about 8 weeks.I was under the impression that if you 1.Had a strong viable pregnancy 2.Were having a girl and 3.carrying twins..that you would be really sick.
Well im now 27+2 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby girl who kicks and moves all day.
So dont be too worried.Best of luck with everything.

Lise~ A lazy day reading sounds ideal.I am waiting for a plumber then might go and buuy a new mobile phone as mine doesnt work anymore. Not sure though.I SHOULD be making dolls!!

Kyra~ Where are you!!!! Hoping that your holding your new bundle.

    Londonmiss,smithy,miss k, everyone else..hoping you are all well.x

Im so excited now to be only 13 weeks away.Im so glad that should Peanut come early she now has a 85-90% survival. As you all know by now im a huge worry wart! First it was worrying about getting to 12 weeks, then worrying about preterm labour before she was healthy enough to survive. Now i feel alot more relaxed. Its so nice to be in the last trimester.A HUGE relief.
Am dying to start the nursery. We bought our cot etc but when we opened the cot we noticed a huge 30 cm crack in the end piece!! I have now been waiting to hear back from Bertini to see if they have a spare part. Will call them today.Otherwise we just need our new drawer handles and i can start setting up the room. Not that she will be in there til a few months old as she will be in her bassinette in our room.
I have the mobile, breathing monitor, sheets, change table, carseat, etc etc and cant wait to get it set up.

Oh..i was meaning to ask those who have had their bubs...Boc,Smithy,BDT...How soon did your bubs grow out of 0000??? Thats the only size i have bought, now im thinking i should have gone for the 000?I know its dependant on babies size but assuming bub is a 7-8 pound at birth? Probably a stupid question.

Well im off for the day.Have a great weekend girls.xx

    Evening ladies

Wow, there are so many newbies in here now. Congrats to you all on your BFP's, and welcome... it's great to have you in here.

And hi to all the other ladies in here too.

Has been a few weeks since I posted as DH has been on the laptop most of the time doing uni assignments. Way too much time passed to try and catch up with everything that has happened.

We had a 3D/4D scan this week (28 weeks) which was really good. I'm so glad we did it. We were lucky that Baby Charlie was cooperating too - he was awake, moving around and showing his face heaps. I also wanted to use the scan to re-confirm that we are having a boy. At 20 weeks, the sonographer said it was a boy, but I couldn't see what she was seeing, and I really wanted to see for myself. Well I can definitely say I saw it for myself this week - and it's definitely a boy. So I feel much more comfortable about going and buying boy things now.

LondonMiss - glad you finally had a successful 4D scan too. And congrats on finishing work.

Lise - glad you are enjoying your leisurely time at home.

Not sure who asked about the morning sickness, but I can say that I've had none... nada... nothing during this pregnancy. I too thought there must be something wrong, and on top of the weekly blood tests I was having at the clinic, I was also doing home pregnancy tests every couple of days, just to check that I was still pregnant. I had no morning sickness, no sore boobs, no cramping at all. I didn't feel different at all.... so it does happen.

We finally have all our nursery furniture now which is great. Everything is still in boxes though, because I have to wait for DH to finish his assignments before we can put everything together.

We are also hoping to go away on a babymoon in a month or so. It will probably only be for a couple of days, but something to look forward to nonetheless. I think that when I go back to work after the babymoon, I will only have about a week and a half left of work before mat leave. Can't wait.

Well I hope everyone has a lovely weekend. I am taking Monday off work, so I am looking forward to a long weekend.

    Wishes xoxo

Happy mother's day ladies! Hope you all had a lovely day :-)

Wishes - glad you got the confirmation that you're having a boy! Now the fun shopping part can begin

Wantbaby - hehehe, that is a case of baby brain! I think I've been okay lately but DH did refer to a particularly vague period I wasn't really aware of though he said I've been better since I finished work...!

leabie congratulations!! All i can say though is the worrying never ends. I totally hear you on all you are feeling right now, i felt exactly the same.
Sonya i say definitely go to New York!! DH and i went to Phuket when i was 12 weeks pregnant and had the best time! Totally do it!
Renee HAPPY BIRTHDAY for yesterday. Hope you had a great day!
LondonMiss Yay im 11th on the list. Looking forward to that number dropping soon LOL at bub being born and resembling a chocolate bar.. Love the humour you bring to this thread
Brunette i had my NT scan when i was 12 weeks. Im sure that one extra week either way shouldnt really matter but always speak to your Obs if you have any concerns.
loula great to hear from you and to see all is going well. We are only a few days apart!

Starting to get back pain these days however had the best night sleep last night though. Only got up for a wee break once and slept straight through the rest of the night, no tossing and turning as usual. Really looking forward to the 4D scan on Saturday as i keep mentioning. Just really hope she is in a good position so we can get lots of nice pics which i will be sharing on facebook!

Lise - oh I so want a massage already lol... I am soooo jealous!!

Brunette - I'm trying to keep up the water but being so cold at the moment its really hard. I'm sorry you're lacking external contact, it must be really hard.

Loula - Hey you, so happy to meet you in here. This is very cool!!

Paula - wow... a full nights sleep, that's incredible. How enjoyable - to look forward to a 4D scan.

afm, definitely going to NY, I am seriously excited about it. Feeling tired and cranky after being woken up at 2am and not being able to go back to sleep. Nervous having to wait for another 3 weeks until the first scan. It's all very bizarre still though.

    Hi all

Just a really quick post to keep in touch, i haven't been out of bed the last couple of days. I definatley opened my mouth too soon when i said i was starting to feel better!!!! The last couple of days have been rough, i haven't even been able to eat which to me is just as awful as i kind of love my food!!!

I also have a question - I have only in the last couple of days been getting a sore belly button, i have a really big innie and at the end of that it is quite sore. Has anyone else had a similar thing, i realise it is probably muscles stretching but just curious.

Anyway hope everyone is great! I will hopefully catch up soon.

Hello all. I think I was 13 and a half weeks when I had mine Brunette, as it was Christmas and New year and they only did them two days a week. So it must be ok, because the doc was quite happy with that. Thank you for the compliment Paula, I told DH and he rolled his eyes at me so he obviously doesn't agree!! cheeky bugger!! I'm off to the hospital tonight on my own for the hospital visit, insert rude words here. DH has a board meeting to call into, and my friend who is my birth partner is in New Zealand kicking some poor call centre manager who is underperforming's arse. I wonder if I will remember the things I get told when I'm in labour! I hope they aren't this busy on the actual day.... if they are, you'll all have to come and join me in the Royal Wimmins in Melbourne. Just bring chocolate to ensure entry to the birthing room : )

Sonya YAY on NY. You will have the most amazing time! I wish to go there one day.. but those being the key words "one day"!!! I hear you on the anxiety of waiting for a scan. Hopefully it will be here quick for you.
LondonMiss how did your hospital visit go last night?

    Hi lovely ladies!

Firstly, thank you for such a warm welcome to this thread! Sorry I posted then disappeared for a while, got a dreaded head cold last week, so have been laying low.

Brunette - your outing sounded exciting - bet you didn't expect to go on a thrill ride while you were out! Hope the house arrest isn't driving you TOO crazy. I am salivating at hearing you've been instructed to drink wine! Its the thing I'm missing most, even bought a de-alcoholised wine from the supermarket the other day to try and fool myself, with no luck! I totally understand that its stressing you though, we do so much to protect our little bubs, it must feel weird to be told to do it. Trust the doc, they wouldn't say it if it wasn't beneficial. I hear you about the lack of support re drinking, DH started drinking for the both of us, I think! I've put him on 3 AFDs (alcohol free days) a week now, as punishment for being able to drink.

CK77 - hope you had a great time up in Cairns for the wedding, oh, to be nice and warm in the tropics!

Renee - was so excited to read about your scan, I've got a week and one day til mine - nervously awaiting it! Happy birthday for the 16th! Hope you're feeling ok and the MS isn't too bad.

LondonMiss - good advice on choosing the books, there's so much info out there. Thanks for the tip on preg yoga too, am looking forward to getting into it once this darn OHSS buggers off.

Wantbaby#2 - hello to a local girl! I'm in Penshurst, going to go to Hurstville Private though, not St George. Who is your OB? Hope the nursery is coming along nicely!

S'rose - CONGRATS on your pregnancy! How magical to get that BFP. Thanks for your support, have been chatting away to the little bean, and making DH rub my belly (he's rather reluctant though! Maybe when its a bit fatter, he'll be more enthusiastic). You HAVE to go to New York! That would be absolutely brilliant! Had a giggle about your sore BBs when you were clapping, have had that problem too, they seem to always get in the way at the moment! I too am wearing a singlet to bed, I call it my "boobcatcher"...

KitKat - sounds like you're having fun with your increasing pg symptoms! Good luck for your next BT test tomorrow, hoping your progesterone and hcg are sky high!

Lise - hope your pg massage was lovely today, it sounds divine!

Mitf - Japan sounds awesome, hope you had a great time.

Paula - thanks for your words, I'm such a worrywort at the moment, its nice to know I'm not crazy! Have a great time at your scan on Saturday, it'll be like a little window into your belly, hope you get lots of great pics!

HI to anyone I've missed! Sorry, still getting my head around where everyone is at! Hope you're well and feeling good.

AFM - I went to see my GP yesterday to have a download on her, and to get another HCG reading to tide me over to the scan next Thursday! Feeling good today about it all, I'm 6 weeks exactly now. Looking forward to getting the HCG results though. Apart from my head, I'm feeling OK, except a head cold, and the OHSS seems to be lurking a bit. Feeling bone tired more than anything, luckily I only work 2 days a week! Having a lot of nana naps... zzz

Sorry for the long post. Have a great day everyone!
