    Hi Ladies

Haven't been on here for a bit, so thought I'd send a quick post now.

Lise and Mitf - Sending you both lots of labour vibes. I can't believe you're still with us Lise. I can only imagine what you're going through. Good luck with the OB appt tomorrow, and here's hoping for a baby by Thursday. Mitf - good luck to you too. I hope all goes well when it finally happens.

LondonMiss - You made me laugh with your comment about rolling over at night. It's just ridiculous isn't it? It takes me about 3 stages before I can get all the way over. Sometimes I get to the middle and I'm on my back, and fall asleep (which is bad I know). So DH usually wakes me up and tells me to roll over onto my side. I also find I'm getting aches high up near my ribcage. I guess that's just baby staking his claim on my stomach space.

KitKat - how annoying that your scan date got put back. Must be so frustrating, but here's hoping the new imaging place is much better. Good luck.

Glenny - glad to hear that all is well with your friend. That must've been such a difficult time for her to bleed at 12 weeks.

Lisa B - I also didn't have any pregnancy symptoms to start with. The only thing I noticed was darker veins in my boobs, but I had no morning sickness, not sore boobs, nothing.... so try not to stress too much. Combined with doing weekly blood tests at the clinic though, I also did HPT's every couple of days just to keep checking that I was pregnant. Good luck for your first scan.

Hi to Juniper, WantBaby, Brunette and anyone else I may have missed.

AFM - not really much to report. I am now 37 weeks, and things are still going along ok for now. I have 2 weeks to go until my scheduled c-section. I have finished my shopping list (I hope so anyway... I don't really want to add anything else to it), and I am nearly finished my "to do" list. Packing my hospital bag is one of the last things I have left to do. So I am hoping to get some relaxing time in front of the telly happening for the next couple of weeks.

DH's parents called the other night and told us they plan on coming down on the day of the c-section (they live about 5 hours away). As we hadn't actually had this discussion with them yet (DH was supposed to do that), I ended up having to tell them that I don't want visitors on the first night. I said I didn't think I'd be up to visitors on the first night. But it also has a lot to do with the fact that I just want it to be me, DH and baby for the first night, and not be bombarded with visitors (although I didn't want to tell them that and offend them). They were fine with it, so hopefully they weren't offended.

Well I'm off to watch some tv. Enjoy your day ladies.

    Wishes xoxo

Well just had my OB appointment so feeling a little more optimistic that maybe things might happen before i'm induced. She did an internal (and swept my membranes, ouch that hurt!) and i'm 4cm dilated and she said it was all looking very good 'down there'. So i'm madly keeping my fingers crossed something happens in the next 36 hours before I have to be induced. I'm supposed to go in at 8am on Thursday for her to break my waters - ladies please send all your labour vibes this way so that doesn't have to happen!!

The mere sight of that amniotic hook is enough to get me started! It looks like something from a medieval joust!!! What could you compare the pain of a membrane sweep to? How long did it last for (the procedure and the pain if that was different)? I ask as my indigestion is getting worse not better and Little Miss Wriggler is still moving loads so I'm not convinced she's coming anytime soon and that I will be late late late... I have a preggo friend from yoga coming for dinner tonight. Menu: Curry (hot), fresh pineapple and raspberry leaf tea ........

4cm dilated is good... hopefully we'll see you next with a BA..... very very very best of wishes. Hope all goes well x

Oh Londonmiss, what will we do without your very funny comments? Enjoy the menu tonight!

Lise, sending you labour vibes. That procedure sounds horribly painful. FX you go soon, and before you have to be induced xo

Wishes, if your DH is anything like mine, I would say it's typical that they leave everything to the last minute! No doubt your PIL understand totally, though, and it is A-okay with them.

Juniper, are you still okay with coming into the city for lunch this Friday? I can't remember the name of the place we're meeting at, but I'll text/email you if you're coming with the details. We're meeting at 12, too, if that's okay with you. Hope you can make it!

    Goodbye

    Hi ladies,

Looks like i have to go back too the LTTTC thread as I had ultrasound today and FS said it was too small and had a weak heart beat. He thinks the heartbeat will stop over the next week. Not sure how too deal with this ... just a lot of crying I guess.

Anyway, thanks for being there for me during the last few weeks. As I said to DH, I really loved being pregnant. Its just a shame it had to end as quickly as it begun.

Hopefully I can join you again in here soon. In the meantime, I hope you all have a H&H pregnancy.

Mum-2-Be I'm so sorry to hear your news. Like you, I had my scan yesterday but even though my baby is measuring the right size for it's age, he wants me to come back for another scan in 2 weeks so I am not sure what is happening. I saw a heartbeat when he went in closer on it but he didn't measure it so I have no idea if it was OK. I rang his assistant (because by the time I worked out what to ask the FS I couldn't because I was one of 26 women he scanned that morning so he was in and out in 3 minutes flat) who said it's normal protocol to have a second in early pregnancy, but I know it's not because I didn't have another with my DD two years ago. My FS was extremely rude to me in the scan and when he told me it was measuring correct for it's age and I said 'that sounds good' in a non excited way as us LTTC ladies do, he told me pretty much not to get excited because I have a long way to go. I had crazy high HCG levels but only one baby on the ultrasound so am now completely unhappy and confused.
I hope those ladies due to have their bubbies and a happy and healthy delivery VERY soon!
    xxx

Lairdoz~Dont worry too much about needing another scan.I have had a scan at every appointment. My first was 6 weeks, then 9 then 12 then every 5 weeks. My ob/fs doesnt use a doppler. He relies on the scan which is about 30 seconds duration to check hb,fluid, movement etc. Its normal to have another scan to check things are progressing. I was told also at the start that if you get to 9 weeks with a strong heartbeat then your 90% of the way there. Enjoy the moment.
Lise~ Thats great news!! Lets hope you are 10 cm by now.....
Mum2Be~ Im so very sorry to hear that.I am hoping everything goes well for you.I will put you in my prayers. My fingers are crossed that you have a little fighter in there.Keep in touch.xxxxxx

Glenny glad your NT scan went well and you got some great pics of bub. Well done on all the shopping too. Guess you have the major things out of the way now. Shopping for baby is so much fun and its soooo easy to get carried away. I still walk through the baby section of all shops we go into even though we have bought absolutely EVERYTHING! I cant help myself. Also, great news on your belly buddies friend!
mitf any news yet? Any progress?
Brunette our antenatal class last week was great. We talked about forceps, vacuum and c-section deliveries which was quite confronting. Those forceps are horrible!! Hope to stay away from those. As for the womens business talk, we basically just sat around and discussed what we were looking forward to about being mothers and our fears etc and then just spoke about general womens stuff that we wouldnt feel comfortable bringing up in front of the boys. The buys apparently talked about their concerns for their partners and what how they felt the pregnancy had been going and what they were looking forward to about being a dad. Im sure there was more but thats all i was told.. Hahaha
lise 4cm is wonderful well done! Thats almost half way there!! Have everything crossed for you and sending you truck loads of labour vibes in hope that something happens within the next 24 hours. If not, at least you have a date set and you know that no matter what by Thursday night you will have bub in your arms.
LondonMiss that mobile massage place sounds fantastic. Hope it works for you.
Mum 2 Be im so sorry to hear that. Sending you cyber hugs and lots of positive vibes that your lil one hangs in there.

As for me, has my obs appointment today and all is going well. BP was fine and heartbeat once again nice and strong. Obs told me that her head is way down and her back is to my left side and her bottom up top. Which makes sense to me as i keep getting poked on my right side so now i know its either a lil foot or hand trying to break out. Back to see him in two weeks time and then maybe start on weekly appointments, not sure. I asked if i still have that one last scan to go and he said yes he will arrange for it "later on" whats that supposed to mean. He said he usually does it later when bub is ready to come out so he can have an accurate insight on her size and positioning which i guess is fair enough but i just want to know when!

Mum2be - I've already sent you a text. My heart is breaking to hear your news. FX the Dr is wrong and you have a fighter there. Please don't give up hope just yet. Sending positive vibes to you and your husband! Please stay in touch.

Paula - So glad you're enjoying your antenatal classes. I hear you about staying away from the forceps! Sounds scary. I love that they broke up the men and the women, and you got to discuss fears/hopes separately - at least for one class.

AFM, I have been really tired lately and suffering horrible headaches. I had a nap this afternoon for a couple of hours, which I obviously needed. No doubt I won't be able to sleep tonight. I wake up most mornings at 4 am, and by the time I get up (6 am) I am already dead tired! Good practice for when the twins arrive no doubt!

    Evening Ladies,

Luke Peter was welcomed to the world at 11.52am on Monday, 5 July 2010. Weighing a healthy 3.83kg or 8.4 pounds, 48.5cm long. I ended up having an unexpected water birth. Some minor tears but generally a good birthing experience.
