Hi ladies sorry for not really posting, to be honest i dont feel like i really belong any where at the moment im not trying to concieve, im pregnant but scared of loosing it that i dont want to commit to the thread, i am trying to stay as positive as possible but i wish the 7 week scan would hurry up to confirm everything. Iv had some little pinching feelings around my ovaries (not pain) but im worried its ectopic, has anyone had one of these and can explain what it felt like?

Aw Oneday luv that's ok take your time and we're here when you're ready. We have all been through the exact same feelings and are here to help.

As for the ovaries you got pregnant on a stim cycle? It's most likely you're ovaries are still inflamed from the stim and the pregnancy keeps your ovaries working so they are hurting. Very normal, in fact when I went for my 12 week scan with DS the US lady said "this was a stim cycle wasn't it?' because she could see my ovaries were still swollen. I haven't had an ectopic fortunately so I can't say what it feels like but I promise you at the same point as you for both pregnancies I was interpreting every little twinge as potential ectopic.

    Hang in there

oneday. ... what bug's mum said... except mine were still swollen and very sore at 20 weeks still and beyond. they eventually went down. i'm not sure if that's teh same sort of pain as you are getting iykwim.
I always got lots of weirdo pain 'down there' including some ligament stretching that nearly had me on the floor because of the suddeness and sharpness.

(((((Hugs))))) Oneday. My overies were a nightmare for about the first half of my pregnancy. They just stayed swollen and sore from the IVF. Where as on cycles where i got BFN's they went down after my first period. It must be the Hormones.

oneday, my ovaries have been sore too, and have just started to settle down. I have had an ectopic and had sharp cramping pain on one side, and as it progressed the pain become very severe. It was different to ovary pain. I also had pain in my low back and pain when going to the toilet. Also my HCG levels rose very slowly and i had brown spotting. we all knowhow you feel, it's so hard to trust in things, especially at the start. hang in there...and hopefully your scan will show all is going just fine. in the meantime we are here when you are ready to chat more

Thanks so much ladies that makes me feel so much better i thought it could be that but of course i always think of the worst, i thinking in a way its self preservation for me, im so scared of getting my hopes up and all excited for it all to come crashing back down again so i tell my self reasons why this might not happen (you ladies would know just how i feel most prob). But i just need to wait out the week and a half for my scan as best as possible. Thanks again ladies and i hope your pg are treating you well xxxxxx

    Hi everyone,

WW, Goodluck for tomorrow. I wouldn't worry about being induced. I was induced with my daughter because she was between 17 days and 1 day overdue (I had 2 due dates and even after she was born they couldn't decide how far overdue she was!). The only issue I had with it was I had to be hooked to a monitor as the contractions were so strong that her heart kept stopping so they had a fetal heart monitor attached to me to make sure her heart started again all the time. The machine measured the strength of the contractions too and they were way over what was normally considered the "strongest contractions"! Anyway she arrived healthy and safe with no complications and was in my arms within moments of coming out so I wouldn't be worried about doing it again if need be.

AFM - we arrived back in Oz this morning after a very early start to leave New Zealand. Our 10 days there were fun but I have been becoming more and more anxious about this baby. I feel detached and I'm not sure if this is a normal response to the fact it has taken so long to get to this point and maybe it's my body's way of protecting me in case something goes wrong or just a response because I can't believe it has finally worked (I started this journey in Dec 2006). I'm now worried that I'm heading towards anti-natal depression. I'm also really worried that something is wrong with the baby. I have the NT scan on Tuesday. I still haven't vommitted at all (just had a few moments of queaziness each day). With my daughter I was chucking my guts up every day all day from around 10 weeks to 20 weeks of pregnancy and I'm 13 weeks tomorrow.

WW, thinking of you! looking forward to hearing some happy news from you soon

lori- glad you had a good trip...sorry you are feeling so anxious though...i think detachment is a form of protection when it's been hard to fall pregnant etc. just remember every pregnancy and its symptoms is different, and i have also had friends who were very sick with one, and ok with the next. Best of luck for your scan today.

afm- it feels like an eternity until my next scan at 18 weeks (although if i really panic i can call my ivf nurse/midwife and she will let me come in for an extra scan)....my next clinic appt is next week, and i will at least get to hear the heartbeat then. I feel all is going Ok though. I am trying to go with it! had a great weekend camping by the beach with DH so that was a good mini break. bought some more stretchy clothes yday ;-)

WW: I hope you are holding your little bundle by now and enjoying those newborn snuggles.

Dream: I agree with Possum's every pregnancy is so different that trying to compare them will drive you crazy. Hope your scan went well and that has put your mind at rest..

Possum: Yay for stretchy pants, I had to get some more Maternity tops (Extra Large) as I have started growing out of the ones I had with DD. I really didn't want to get any more as we are planning no more babies after these 2 but I had to bite the bullet and I told DH that I will be able to wear them for a little while once the boys arrive as I'm sure to have the residual tummy for a little bit. I also went to target and got 4 pairs of black leggings, I always just buy normal sizes in pants and roll the band under my belly (although I got 1 size bigger than I normally wear for comfort) and I will live in them once the boys arrive so that justified the expense - although I used a gift voucher I got for my birthday to buy them so no cost to me yay...

How's everyone else travelling, with WW hopefully holding her baby who does that make next??? Is it you Jaki & then Airline...
