Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
How is everyone going? Good I hope.
I had a scare yesterday. Wish I could say after 12weeks these things were a distant memory. I had a lot of discharge coming out in a gush every hour or two. I'd fake sneeze or cough and it wouldn't happen which was a good thing and it didn't smell like amniotic fluid. I lay down most of the day yesterday and it seemed to stop overnight. Then this morning (hardly slept last night because I couldn't stop crying and thinking the worst) I started having cramping and backpain. I called labour ward hoping to come in and get checked out (they usually don't see anyone until 18weeks) and my Ob just happened to be there and told me to come into his surgery. He made me feel a bit of an idiot but I am not complaining as I am reassured. See this morning when I showered and washed myself I could feel my uterus and cervix only an inch inside my vagina. With my last pregnancies it was no where to be found so this freaked me out too plus I was having pain in my vag too. More like pressure then anything else. Anyway he did another scan. He could not see if my cervix was shortening on the ultrasound as my bladder was empty but there was definitely no funneling and lots of fluid around the baby. Speculum also showed no fluid pooling in the vagina or coming from the cervix when I coughed although he did say I had quiet a bit of fluid he just thought that was thrush. I am not convinced it is but will treat it anyway and as long as the baby is ok and my anatomy keeps it in I am happy. He also said my ridiculously low uterus/cervix was just a sign of my parity and nothing to worry about. Told me not to compare it to before pregnancy or any other pregnancy. Anyway that's my scare and I hope it the last one. I am still uncomfortable but as long as bub is ok I can deal with everything else.

Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Mildez that sounds really scary. I hope everything is ok xx
Agm: im afraid I'm done ladies. I lost bubs sunday night in a big bleed. I've just had a scan confirming. Im so dissappointed, and I cant really see a way forward. Thanks for your support over the past few weeks and good luck with your pregnancies

Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
My leaking seems to have thickened up if that is the right way to describe it. Its gross anyway. I am now too scared to DTD. The pressure feeling is still there but I can deal with it all if bub stays safe :) One thing I didn't mention is the Ob thought my largest cyst was looking a little smaller. Its also lost its round shape and is now irregular so it doesn't look at full as it once did.
When is your next scan Sarah? I remembered its soon but can't remember exactly when it was. If you don't mind me asking are you past your past m/c gestations? My latest loss was 9.5weeks so I am well and truely past that now. Still nervous and can't relax yet.
I need to book my morphology scan. Can't believe its not far away.
I still can't bring myself to buy anything although I have about a week left in my work uniform. Its now so tight around my hips and stomach and when I sit down the way it folds makes me look like I have an apron of fat and not a baby belly.
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Oh mildez I swear I got the same fat apron look hee hee ... At 8 weeks :-/!
Too many infertility drugs I think. I used to be quite petite before the yrs of infert. Treatment.
That's good your largest cyst is getting smaller, I hope mine does too then.
And that's a very good sign you are well and truly past your m/c gests.
Me too :-) I usually lose them very early and longest was at 5w 2days.
So 8 weeks is going good :-).
And sick like I was with DD so I'm in it for the long haul I reckon :-).
Scan on Monday... Yay!
Trying to phsyc myself to go back to work for 3 days a week... Ugh I work in aged care and not sure how I'll go being so sick.
Your morphology scan should be good :-).
Glad your better with the discharge, sometimes it does go watery .
But the pressure could be bubs ?
Don't know but just keep an eye as you are.
Pressure feeling I remember stays a long time!
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Thats very reasurring your further along with this special miricle.
Can you have any more time off? Aged care is heavy work. Well it was when I was in the area many moons ago. I am considering reducing my hospital hours as its heavy unless I am in the SCN which is rare. I work there as I need the money although my permanent job is in the baby health clinic so lots of sitting down and talking unlike the hospital setting. I think I will pick up more work once I am over 24weeks as I really hope to pay my credit card off before bub arrives. I should have been making more effort already. The less bills I need to worry about next year the better.
I finally made my morhology scan appointment for the 8th of August when I will be 19weeks to the day. 29days to go :)
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Just wanted to say good luck at your scan today Sarah :)
I just brought my first baby item. I am going to have to hide it from DH :/ We already have enough furniture but this was too good to miss out on. Its 2nd hand but a Boori walnut change table. I have the walnut sleigh cot so it will match it hence why I wanted it. Its the ones with the draws. I wasn't going to buy a change table as I have a nice chest of draws I was going to use as a change table (with the soft pad on top) but never mind. I will just have to find somewhere to put it.

Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Hey mildez I'm sorry I didn't see this post xo scan went great thank you :)
I've got the nuchual fold scan tomoz. Hopefully all good!
How are you doing? Any updates?
My m/s is easing up I'm so glad!
Good bye first tri!
Waiting for movement now hee hee, at least this waiting game has an end with a bubby fingers crossed :)
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Scan went great :)! Saw a healthy wriggly baby in there :)
DF was so happy too it was such a beautiful moment.
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Fantastic news Sarah. I am so excited for you especially as your almost in the 2nd Trimester :) Woohoo.
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
How you going mildez?
My preg is going fairly well and I'm hardly freaking out at all compared to first tri :-).
I've decided to go with a private OB the whole way to feel safer. Such a lovely Dr so that helps.
I've excited for my morph scan in 3wks! I'll be 19wks omg.
Wow Mrs om! Your due soon! How very exciting :-)
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
That's great Sarah4Kurt. Not long until your morphology scan. Are you going to find out the gender? I am going private too. I wasn't going to initially but due to the cysts initially I had to go see him early and it made sense to continue to see him when they started shrinking. I do have a student midwife. Without been rude I didn't really want one but I couldn't say no as I knew the student was struggling to get follow throughs. She was also a case study for me when I was doing child and family health nursing so I see it as returning the favour. She is lovely.
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Thanks mildez :-)
I was going to find out the gender but DF really would like a suprise so I'll probably wait too! I think it will be kinda neat to find out in delivery room :-).
I wasn't going private either but we have cover and I really like the Dr so didn't want to go to anyone else, will be nice having him the whole way.
Oh I remember lots of students last time I was preg and in hospital! Lol.
Well that's nice you are returning the favour :-).
Did you find out what u are having?
Are you getting lots of kicks now?
I've just started being able to feel actual soft kicks as opposed to just light flutters.
It's so very cool!
My muffin top on my behind is not so cool though lol! Waiting for my belly to be big enough to distract away from my butt ha ha!
My cysts went down too! Was just under 7cm and now only 3 yay...
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
20days til 20weeks Sarah. Woohoo. When is your morphology scan? How are t movements going?
No we didn't find out. I was a bit like you. I'd love to know but DH wanted a surprise. I dying to know lol. I have a very strong feeing I am having a girl. We will probably call her Lucy.
I have been worried about movements. I don't get a lot although they are the same so do have a pattern to them.
If this bub comes when my 2nd does (I don't think I will) it could be here in 12 weeks. OMG. I don't feel ready at all :)
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Oooh how exciting mildez :-)!
I don't think it ever sinks in until they are in your arms.
That's cool you don't know what u are having either. Our DH's must be alike.
Maybe you just got a laid back bub in there :-).
I'm off to my morphology scan on Tuesday, can't wait to see bubs, getting more movements every day but I think this ones more laid backttoo as I remember more with dd.
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Yes I don't think reality will hit me until I bring a newborn home. God that could be in 3months time. Now its getting closer I am worried about getting it out :/ Looking forward to meeting it. I have no better memory in my life then meeting our last baby for the first time. Especially because it was only DH and I. With my first it was an emergency after the birth because I was haemorraging so badly and they took her and I went to theatre so it was 8 hours later when I was still dopey before I really got to meet her and by that time vistors had left as it was well after visiting hours and with number 2 DH family came in straight away and back then I didn't have the heart to tell them to go away. Hopefully we can enjoy this baby to ourselves before having to share it.
Awesome news your scan is in less then a week. Bet it feels surreal to be almost half way after such a rough ride to get here.
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Oh yes surreal is the word!
That sounds like an absolute nightmare delivering your first no wonder you worry bout getting it out :-/.
The worry does not stop really huh.
I hope you do get that alone special time with dh n bubs.
I have an idea... Maybe get dh to tell everyone it's out after you have had some time?
Until then all they know is your in labour :).
And after when they know the time just say it was a busy time and hubby didn't get a chance until he did lol.
Nobody gets offended and you can relax knowing your not getting too overwhelmed with people at once just after going thru it all!
It's a big ordeal after all!
Wow 3 months it's flying by so quick.
Yep me being half way thru is amazing too, we both got here after so long!
I wonder what we are both having :-)
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
How is everyone going?
Sarah how did your scan go? Did your DD go with you? Still a gender surprise?
Haha yes I will have to keep the details of this ones birth a surprise. Well actually we will tell them followed by "Do not visit". You can't get that time back so I definitely want to be alone with DH.
I brought a pram and capsule a week ago. Other then I haven't brought anything but I guess I need to start soon and be a little more prepared. I think I will take a week of work early December just to have some me time before I finish work later Dec and the kids are on holidays. It will all happen quickly once October is over.
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Hi mildez :-)
Long time no post from me!
I've been off the forum.
Scan went great, still a suprise , lil kicker wouldn't keep still for ultrasound tech :-D.
All going fabulous with bub passing milestones very well.
Looks like a tall baby the tech said.
Now it plays gymnastics in my tum.
Wow your nearly 33 weeks !
Not long to go till you get to meet your lil suprise :-)
I will be checking back to see how you go.
Xxx

Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Good to hear from you Sarah. I am so pleased to hear everything is going ok and your almost at the magical 26week mark. I will be looking forward to hearing your BA in a few months.
Yes 33weeks for me tomorrow. Starting to feel very fat, breathless, sweaty, hot etc but all for a good cause. I put my maternity leave notice in yesterday. I have another 5weeks before my leave starts but have taken a week off so only 2weeks left for a week off and then another 2 weeks back. I am really looking forward to meeting this little person. Freaking out a bit with worry but that's just me.
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Aw yes I bet your breathless and feeling heavy.wont be long now :-).
So have you nearly got everything you need now?
So great you will be able to finnish up work soon, it gets tuff hauling your preg body off to work that's for sure!
I did a full work training day yesterday and I'm so flat today. So glad I'm not rosterd on till Sunday now.
Take very good care :-)
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
No not ready yet. I have gained a lot of weight so have been trying to buy a few non maternity outfits. I have the bare essentials for bub but am waiting to know its gender and size before doing much more shopping for him/her. How about you? Have you agreed on any names yet?
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Hope all is going well Sarah4Kurt.

Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Hi
Mildez :-)...
All is going great! Baby's kicking my ribs bow and takes up all my avomen lol.
So excited to meet this lil one now, I don't worry as much as I used to now which is good, I still do just not so much.
I have a beautiful princess/ prince nursery done now, all I have to do is add baby pink or blue! I've had so much fun organising and planning and making things to go in it :-).
Made girl and boy cot sets now and have everything except a baby pouch now!
So how are you going hun? Have you got a birth plan?
I'm being a wuss as I want an epidural!! As it helped me to relax and enjoy my DD's birth where's before it kicked in it was just freaking horrible!
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Your nursery sounds beautiful. You must be very handy with the sewing machine. Is your DD and DS excited about the baby?
We welcomes a beautiful little boy late December. His just gorgeous.

Aw a very BIG congratulations on your lil baby boy!:loveshower::bluecheer:
I bet he's just beautiful.
You must love having a boy too add to your girls they must be great big sisters.
I'm now just waiting for labour any day, getting uncomfy and really excited to meet this lil one!
Can't believe it's nearly all over, this ltttc journey is done!
Technically it is already but having bub safe in my arms will be it for me.
Nearly had a c section due to my placenta being very close to os, but I'm just in the push zone by 3mm-6mm!! So my Dr wants me to push.
Waiting like forever for labour lol!
Take good care xxx
Are there any other pg ladies ltttc'ers out there atm?
If so I wish you the very best of luck xox

Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
I'm here. Just got a BFP today after 20 cycles. It's my first one ever so I'm a bit nervous. I had a heap of blood tests taken and I'll have a scan in a few weeks. The doctor doesn't want to see me again until after the scan so until then I'll carry on as usual and try to stay calm.
How are you, Sarah4Kurt? You are very close to your due date!
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
That's brilliant news Spoons. Massive Congratulations. How are you feeling?
S4K I hope your holding your little miracle baby now or enjoying the last few days/weeks of pregnancy :)
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Thanks Mildez. I'm not feeling much difference, a bit more tired and thirsty. I'm not sure how many weeks I am as I had a weird cycle so I have to wait for my scan. I don't think I'll really believe it until I see something on the ultrasound. I've already told my parents, one of my sisters and a friend. I won't post it on Facebook or shout it from the rooftops but I feel ok telling close family and friends and a few people at work who are aware of my journey. It's only early days so I'm just taking things one day at a time.
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
I'm here, too. TTC number 2 since Sept 2013, IVF since March 2014, and we had success with our third transfer. I'm due on Oct 10th. I'm still terrified that something will yet go wrong... I hate the thought of a scan showing no heartbeat, or something. We're on hols interstate for 3 weeks, and I'm having weekly BTs til I get back to Perth for a scan in the 8th week.
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
I hear you, Pholi. I have those worries too as Mum had a missed miscarriage. It's only early days for me. I think I'm about five weeks. Won't know for sure until the scan in another few weeks.
I hope the trip is a good distraction for you. I've just transferred to a new job so that is keeping me busy.
Are the bloods to check hcg progression?
I tested again this morning with an Internet cheapie and got a more obvious second line which is encouraging.
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Yes, hcg and also progesterone. Some women need ongoing prog pessaries still, but my levels have been fine since I stopped them.
I did another hpt a few days later too! You just really need the reassurance at this stage. :)
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
My ultrasound is booked for 4th March. Feels like ages away!
My GP called me today and I have to start prophylactic clexane injections. I've had blod clots in the past and have a gene that makes me clot more. I'll see a haematologist in a few weeks.
Have you told anyone "in real life", Pholi? I blabbed to three ppl at work today which I'm kinda regretting now. :/
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
I'm still technically here lol....
So full and about to pop though! So very uncomfy!
Talking to Dr tomoz about induction :-)
So excited to finally meet this lil one after so many losses and so many yrs of fertility treatments!
Yaay all over!!!
Welcome pholi and spoons :-) I hope your stay is long and you get very uncomfy at the end like me I will leave you both lots of baby dust :-D ********** uncomfy means healthy baby!
That's what I tell myself now I have to try n get what sleep I can propped up against the wall so I can breathe!
You girls just take it one day at a time and try to stay positive that's the only way to get through the early days of tests n scans xox
How's your gorgeous lil boy going now mildez? :-)
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Lovely to hear from you Sarah. So nice to see you due to have bub any day now. My little boy is going incredibly well. We are so thrilled he has joined the family. His sisters love him to pieces too.
Spoons the 4th March will come soon enough. Those early weeks however go so slowly. I don't know what.s harder. The very beginning or the very end.
Pholi congratulations on your pregnancy. Have you had a scan? I hope your all feeling well.
-
Re: Pregnancy after LT TTC #21
Ugh, not doing so great... Hcg didn't rise as much as they'd expect this week, and prog has dropped. I restart progesterone tomorrow. Feeling lots less confident. :/
No scan yet. Normally the clinic would do a scan next week ( 7th week) but we're away for another couple of weeks, so it'll be ages yet.
