I had a scare yesterday. Wish I could say after 12weeks these things were a distant memory. I had a lot of discharge coming out in a gush every hour or two. I'd fake sneeze or cough and it wouldn't happen which was a good thing and it didn't smell like amniotic fluid. I lay down most of the day yesterday and it seemed to stop overnight. Then this morning (hardly slept last night because I couldn't stop crying and thinking the worst) I started having cramping and backpain. I called labour ward hoping to come in and get checked out (they usually don't see anyone until 18weeks) and my Ob just happened to be there and told me to come into his surgery. He made me feel a bit of an idiot but I am not complaining as I am reassured. See this morning when I showered and washed myself I could feel my uterus and cervix only an inch inside my vagina. With my last pregnancies it was no where to be found so this freaked me out too plus I was having pain in my vag too. More like pressure then anything else. Anyway he did another scan. He could not see if my cervix was shortening on the ultrasound as my bladder was empty but there was definitely no funneling and lots of fluid around the baby. Speculum also showed no fluid pooling in the vagina or coming from the cervix when I coughed although he did say I had quiet a bit of fluid he just thought that was thrush. I am not convinced it is but will treat it anyway and as long as the baby is ok and my anatomy keeps it in I am happy. He also said my ridiculously low uterus/cervix was just a sign of my parity and nothing to worry about. Told me not to compare it to before pregnancy or any other pregnancy. Anyway that's my scare and I hope it the last one. I am still uncomfortable but as long as bub is ok I can deal with everything else.
Mildez that sounds really scary. I hope everything is ok xx
Agm: im afraid I'm done ladies. I lost bubs sunday night in a big bleed. I've just had a scan confirming. Im so dissappointed, and I cant really see a way forward. Thanks for your support over the past few weeks and good luck with your pregnancies
Bec words can describe how sorry I am for you and your families losses. I am so devastated for you all. I don't really know what to say as know nothing will really help. Your in my thoughts and I do hope that even if your done a miracle comes your way. Life can be so cruel.
My leaking seems to have thickened up if that is the right way to describe it. Its gross anyway. I am now too scared to DTD. The pressure feeling is still there but I can deal with it all if bub stays safe One thing I didn't mention is the Ob thought my largest cyst was looking a little smaller. Its also lost its round shape and is now irregular so it doesn't look at full as it once did.
When is your next scan Sarah? I remembered its soon but can't remember exactly when it was. If you don't mind me asking are you past your past m/c gestations? My latest loss was 9.5weeks so I am well and truely past that now. Still nervous and can't relax yet.
I need to book my morphology scan. Can't believe its not far away.
I still can't bring myself to buy anything although I have about a week left in my work uniform. Its now so tight around my hips and stomach and when I sit down the way it folds makes me look like I have an apron of fat and not a baby belly.

Oh mildez I swear I got the same fat apron look hee hee ... At 8 weeks :-/!
Too many infertility drugs I think. I used to be quite petite before the yrs of infert. Treatment.
That's good your largest cyst is getting smaller, I hope mine does too then.
And that's a very good sign you are well and truly past your m/c gests.
Me too :-) I usually lose them very early and longest was at 5w 2days.
So 8 weeks is going good :-).
And sick like I was with DD so I'm in it for the long haul I reckon :-).
Scan on Monday... Yay!
Trying to phsyc myself to go back to work for 3 days a week... Ugh I work in aged care and not sure how I'll go being so sick.
Your morphology scan should be good :-).
Glad your better with the discharge, sometimes it does go watery .
But the pressure could be bubs ?
Don't know but just keep an eye as you are.
Pressure feeling I remember stays a long time!
Thats very reasurring your further along with this special miricle.
Can you have any more time off? Aged care is heavy work. Well it was when I was in the area many moons ago. I am considering reducing my hospital hours as its heavy unless I am in the SCN which is rare. I work there as I need the money although my permanent job is in the baby health clinic so lots of sitting down and talking unlike the hospital setting. I think I will pick up more work once I am over 24weeks as I really hope to pay my credit card off before bub arrives. I should have been making more effort already. The less bills I need to worry about next year the better.
I finally made my morhology scan appointment for the 8th of August when I will be 19weeks to the day. 29days to go
I'm here, too. TTC number 2 since Sept 2013, IVF since March 2014, and we had success with our third transfer. I'm due on Oct 10th. I'm still terrified that something will yet go wrong... I hate the thought of a scan showing no heartbeat, or something. We're on hols interstate for 3 weeks, and I'm having weekly BTs til I get back to Perth for a scan in the 8th week.
I hear you, Pholi. I have those worries too as Mum had a missed miscarriage. It's only early days for me. I think I'm about five weeks. Won't know for sure until the scan in another few weeks.
I hope the trip is a good distraction for you. I've just transferred to a new job so that is keeping me busy.
Are the bloods to check hcg progression?
I tested again this morning with an Internet cheapie and got a more obvious second line which is encouraging.
My ultrasound is booked for 4th March. Feels like ages away!
My GP called me today and I have to start prophylactic clexane injections. I've had blod clots in the past and have a gene that makes me clot more. I'll see a haematologist in a few weeks.
Have you told anyone "in real life", Pholi? I blabbed to three ppl at work today which I'm kinda regretting now. :/
I'm still technically here lol....
So full and about to pop though! So very uncomfy!
Talking to Dr tomoz about induction :-)
So excited to finally meet this lil one after so many losses and so many yrs of fertility treatments!
Yaay all over!!!
Welcome pholi and spoons :-) I hope your stay is long and you get very uncomfy at the end like me I will leave you both lots of baby dust :-D ********** uncomfy means healthy baby!
That's what I tell myself now I have to try n get what sleep I can propped up against the wall so I can breathe!
You girls just take it one day at a time and try to stay positive that's the only way to get through the early days of tests n scans xox
Lovely to hear from you Sarah. So nice to see you due to have bub any day now. My little boy is going incredibly well. We are so thrilled he has joined the family. His sisters love him to pieces too.
Spoons the 4th March will come soon enough. Those early weeks however go so slowly. I don't know what.s harder. The very beginning or the very end.
Pholi congratulations on your pregnancy. Have you had a scan? I hope your all feeling well.
I am hoping to join this thread. Had my bdp bt on 25feb15, now 14dp5dt. This is my 7th cycle of ivf, after conceiving my ds from a fet (2nd round) in nov 2012.
Still doing poas to keep me positive through the next 8weeks until 12weeks. Have my 7 week scan booked for 18 Mar. Bubs sue date - 03 Nov 15 ( but I think I will have to have a csect as I did with ds).
