Hi everyone.
I've been a bit quiet for a while, just reading, for the same reason as Kotare. If it's any consolation, my symptoms come and go, and i've been having somewhat painful cramps and other pains recently, but our 11-week scan last night was all good. It's nice to have pics that look somewhat human-shaped now.
anyway, is a relief to see it. and wow, the little bugger was really kicking up a storm in there. is that normal? i'm a bit worried Jelly's going to really hurt me later one... also a bit scared s/he might be like my brother. He kicked a lot during pregnancy and mum says he was still kicking and thrashing about when she was birthing him. Basically his personality hasn't changed much.... but we love him anyway.
We're skipping the NT/downs screen thingy. The doc asked if we wanted to and I just kinda blurted out that I didn't think it was necessary and I wouldn't want to abort anyway (or risk amniocentisis). had forgotten to discuss this with DH though... oops. we discussed later and he agreed with me anyway.
