My hormones have been crazy lately and about 2 hours ago I blew up at DH on the phone. My Internet was down and I was trying to do some banking while he was nagging me for money while I'm sitting next to a pile of bills. I was so mad I actually threw a couple of things in the house.
Now I am sitting here with brown discharge at 6 weeks pregnant. Have not bled or spotted at all until now.
Is it ridiculous to suggest my breakdown caused this. I am terrified I am causing a m/c.
When I had my mc last year I went through something so emotional and I was physically and mentally a wreck. I thought that caused my mc. I was assured by both the ob at the hospital and my own ob that while not ideal this didn't cause my mc. I know that little voice in your head.
I know it's so hard, can you do something that you find enjoyable that can take your mind into a more positive frame? Spotting is so common, I think in my bellybuddies group we nearly all had some between 5 weeks and 12 weeks.
Crossing everything for you x
if its brown I wouldn't think too much of it. If it was fresh then I may be concerned. Chances are you just dislodged some old mucus/blood possibly from an implant bleed?
I know when I have neared the end of my POST natal bleeding, if I had a stressful moment of yelling etc, I always got a bit of yuk happening again.
Thank you Efjay. I don't even have anyone to call if I'm concerned because my GP is closed and I don't have an OB yet as I am only 6 weeks. My first scan is Thursday. My hands are shaking typing this I am so scared.
Not at all, honestly just sit back and put your feet up and try not to stress, if you are still worried in an hour cll your career for more advice, goodluck xx
I thought the same thing with both my mc. It's only natural to feel that way. Just remember, it's not your fault and if its going to happen it will. Hugs xx
You haven't caused anything Hun. Brown blood is old blood, which means there was a very small amount of blood a few days ago, and it's worked it's way out now. Maybe because you were a bit physical (were you more physical than you are in your every day life?) or it may just be a coincidence. Either way, you haven't caused anything. The amount of stress it takes to potentially affect a pregnancy is so much greater; women carry pregnancies through war torn countries, rapes, famine etc. Try to relax. Your cervix is very swollen with blood and very sensitive right now, if you've checked your cervix or dtd in the last few days, this is likely the cause.
Tasha good that it has stopped. Your mind is very powerful and releases lots of chemicals into your body, please try and not think it's over. I know how hard it is, when I had 2 bright red bleeds with this pregnancy at 12 weeks I went to that place in my mind. My acupuncturist told me to focus on my body, put my warm hands low on my belly and think that my body can do this. Focus on where you know you are the moment. I wish I could give you a hug in IRL. So many of us have been where you are and while many have not worked out... So many have gone on to have happy healthy pregnancies. Please try and think that will be you to this time. xx
I had alot of anxiety in my early pregnancy too. I used visualisation to help me to stay calm. I used to visualise a beautiful rainbow and one by one all the colours of the rainbow would encircle my little baby and wrap him in different colours. For example I would take the pink from the rainbow and mix it with my love to wrap around him, I would take the yellow and mix it with my strength and wrap it around him to keep him safe etc. It was very calming for me to do this. I hope that everything works out for you and you see a lovely little heartbeat in a few days time.
I don't think it ever ends. Even once they're here in our arms, there's worrying. But it's all so amazingly worth it. Congratulations on a good scan and a HB, yay Rest up!
