Saffy - I'm thinking of you today, feeling on edge for you and hoping for wonderful news later. I don't have any advice, i was the same. Just let yourself be a mess, your ob will surely understand. Mine knew I was highly anxious and would do the scan first and confirm a heartbeat before he did any measurements or the in office stuff - ask for that! I how have a whole new empathy for you ladies who had/ have bad morning sickness. I thought I was going to pass out at work yesterday but just vomited repeatedly in the office instead (my poor workmates!!). Security drove me down to the medical centre (maybe a bit of overkill, ha ha) and they couldn't find anything wrong with me. So weird, couldn't be ms at this stage! I don't know how you ladies did this all first trimester! This is my first non-alcohol related spew of my adult life I still can't stomach any food but liquids are fine.
Saffy - Hugs sweety. My only advice is to be as you are. If you are a mess, thats ok. I had many scans (that turned out to be ok) where I was crying my eyes out because the baby had a h/b, and nobody made me feel embarressed or ashamed for it. Its a very emotional time and the stakes are huge, so you are entitled to have those feelings. I hope its all fine at your scan. Early scans are soooo hard. I'll be thinking of you.

Mich - You poor thing. Im sure it will pass quickly. Yep, what you are describing is what Ive had for the past 64 days in a row, including the 'Im going to pass out right now' feeling. Not nice, but I think I might be starting to get better. I only threw up twice yesterday! Thats huge for me!
everythings ok!! i was crying by the time I sat in the waiting room and lost it when I walked in the dr's room,so she did scan me immediately, and everything was fine! I could barely see anything cos my stomach was bouncing the u/s thing off with all my crying but dh reassured me he saw a good HB and a little baby looking thing!! Soooo freaking relieved. Thanks for all your advice, no one else would understand the blind fear. Anyway my lovely obs is letting me come back next week for a quick scan for reasurance, I love her, shes so nice. Then the week after next, I have the NT scan. thats another story with me being 40 but will cross that bridge when we come to it.
Can't believe I am 10w2d today, the light is at the end of the tunnel for the second trimester!

Saffy - I'm so glad to read that your scan went well! That is teriffic news. What is your DD? My FS has me due the 10th and I'm 10 weeks today.
OB appointment went well today. Blob has progessed to a jellybean. I'm spot on for dates and heartbeat was perfect. So I think I'm going to miss out on the MS this time. This is totaly different to my other 3 pregnancies. I had MS with all 3 and was throwing up.
Next is the NT scan which is booked for the 5th July.
Joeve - I thought seeing as I had 2 hours off of work to go to the OB's I'd better actually do some work . And also they will be upgrading all our computers and it sounds like they'll be blocking a lot of internet sites So I need to get in while I can cause other wise I'll have to wait until I get home and fight DH for the computer.

AFM- Well iv'e been smelling blood all afternoon. It's actually making me feel queasy in the tummy! I had horrible nosebleeds with DS2, first time in my life i have ever had them. Looks like i'm going to have them this time too, just wish it would come out or go away! On the actual bub i have no news, i haven't been to the GP this week and i don't want another scan until next week. I am still bleeding but it's no worse or better than it was for the last 3 weeks so im just trying not to stress out.

Yas -I didn't ask what the heart rate was. I was just so relieved there actually was a heartbeat and a baby. I'm glad all seems to be stable for you. Nose bleeds suck. I had 1 with DD2's pregnancy. I was in the shower and it was yuck.
GREAT news Porsche, its such a relief! I have actually snuck in ahead of you now, my EDD was changed to 8/Jan, as bub was measuring 3 days ahead at 6 wk scan, doesn't make any difference anyway as I'm sure I'll deliver on xmas day or something inconvenient like that!!!! So I'm 10w2d, which is good as I have lost a few days of my 1st trimester, by dates I was 9w6d!!
Bring on 2nd trimester for all of us!!

oeve- how are you going? You must be nearly 6 wks now, any symptoms? Mine started at 6 wks, it was reassuring. Are you on any progesterone ( crinone or pessaries)? I have a box of crinone left over, if you need it.
Hi everyone else, hope you had a nice weekend.
I am on my last day of annual leave, back to work tomorrow, terrifying, I wonder how I'll go. Its going to be hard to stay awake until 10.30pm on a late shift as at the moment i am going to bed at 8.30/9ish!! going back to the obs tomorrow to have a quick look at baby- yay!
