Too many oh no what a pain! Surely it's too early for them to make those assumptions?
Hope everyone is well!
Just had on appointment and my fundal measurement is measuring a far bit ahead so he's concerned that it could indicate GD. I have put on 2.5kgs in 24 weeks so nothing too dramatic there. Or he said I could have extra fluid. So off for another scan next week and the GD test. Saw bubs on the us today head down and kicking away nice healthy heart beat ticking along.
Trying not to freak out and after a quick squizz at google have banned myself from looking anymore lol

Joeve by the sounds of it they can! I'm over their BMI cut off(well GP thinks I am, he has to call the hospital), even though I haven't had any weight related complications during either of our children's pregnancies, I haven't had GD, other than my labours being induced they were normal and fuss free... I don't see the issue?

Here I was thinking getting pregnant and staying pregnant would be 99% of the battle it looks like labour an delivery will be stressful a well. He's basically said I would have to travel to Brisbane at 38 weeks and stay there until I birth which means I would be birthing alone because there's no way my DH or our kids can spend 3+ weeks away from work/school.

This has really upset me, everyone is "oh it will be ok" but it has me seriously worried.

TMS- usually the issue is with not having anaesthetists in-house in smaller hospitals, but can't remember why this affects high BMI patients, something to do with spinals/GAs in an emergency. i hope you get to birth close to home anyway. Please try not to stress about it now as there is nothing you can do to change it curently and something might work out by then anyway xx
Joeve- 2.5 kg, are you joking? I have put on 11kg in 29wks lol not happy jan. My baby was measuring 3 wks ahead at 24 wks and now is spot on. Lying breech at the moment, so I will be giving it a talking to in a few weeks if that doesn't change. Hope you don't have GDM xx

Saffy lol yes I am serious!! Stupid sickness is making it impossible to stuff myself. I think I had gained a bit the month before I got utd from ivf. At my 20 week appointment my body was in ketosis so was eating fat stores and I almost ended up being admitted. My fundal measurement today was 29cm so measuring big. Will know more next week I guess after another measurement scan!

don't worry too much yet, mine grew heaps around 24wks then has slower a bit. |Gosh thats bad about being in ketosis, babies are parasites lol

Just got back from my OB appointment.

And Ive been put on blood pressure tablets twice daily as my blood pressure was higher than usual. Bloody raah!! Sigh.

well it looks like this little one isn't going without a fight, measuring spot on for dates 5w6d and a heart beat of 93bpm. Nothing bad on the u/s, no bleeding and no cramping. Had another blood test this morning and will get the numbers tomorrow afternoon...sitting around trying to keep my mind off it all until then.

TMS- Hun that's awesome! I'm praying so hard! Sounds exactly the same as what happened to me this pg except I was bleeding HEAPS from 6-20weeks. My hcg was slow to rise and my progesterone was plummeting all the time. Hb rate was exactly the same at the exact same gestation. FX! Xxxx
