Hi TinaR - I lurk quite often in the TTCMC thread so I know your journey well. I was so thrilled whn I saw you got your BFP! I hope this is a happy and healhty pregnancy after all you have been through you definetly deserve it!
I got lots of cramping and painswhen I was first pregnant, actually I was still getting cramps till bout 20 weeks! My Doc was great and did HCG tests every 2-3 days for me from 4-7 weeks till I had my ultrasounbd with the Obstetrician. Sometimes it is very reassuring thoigh can make things stresful too. Your level sounds fine to me. big hugs and best wishes!
Chappas - just wanted to wish you luck for your scan tomorrow. Here's hoping your baby has turned!
Easha - Hope bag packing all done and now you can just rest/await the arrival of your bubs - very exciting time!
BTW - a very small baby can be an indicator that placental function is not great, in which case, it would be better to get baby out and feed them up on the outside
WTH - Yippe at sorting out names. A GF of mine had a little boy 4 days ago and he still hasn't got a name because they just couldn't decide
Hoping you have managed to sort your cough out. Its the last thing you need right now
Karen - Great that you are so calm and organised about your birth. I hope everything goes so smoothly and to plan for you
Congrats on the big 40 too!
Tina - Welcome and congrats on your pg. Having lost 7 babies myself, I understand the horrible fear in those early days. Personally, I found biweekly BTs helpful just so i knew everything was on track.
However, the scans are what really helps... seeing a little HB after about 6weeks was so reassuring.
As for the pains, they can be perfectly normal. I always have cramping in early pg. This one was probably the worst. I was sure I wasn't pg due to such severe cramping early on
AFM - Fortunately, not much to tell. Baby still moving around in there which is great. Seee OB tomorrow so will find out the plan for monitoring her growth etc then
I just wanted to pop my head in to say WTG Meredith!!!! 33 weeks is such a big big achievement after all you have been through my love! This little Upsy Girl is a strong fighter...
Hi girls. I haven't posted on BB for awhile and I hope you don't mind me joining in on this thread. I have followed some of your posts and the support and advice you give eachother is wonderful. Just quickly, I am nearly 26 weeks pregnant, having previously had 2 miscarriages. I also have a DS who is 3 years old.
TinaR- I wish you all the luck with this pregnancy. I know and understand your fears and concerns well. I found out I was pregnant this time around at 4 weeks, and have had tummy cramps and backache on and off for most of the way through so far. The early weeks were very scary, as I always associate this type of pain with a miscarriage.
Although this pregnancy has been more worrying and stressful, I have had alot of reassurance from my obstetrician and midwives. Also, having regular ultrasounds has deinatley put my mind at ease. I wanted to let you know that these types of pain can be absolutley normal.I hope everything goes well for you. It sounds as if you have a wonderful supportive midwife to talk to. Good luck and take care xx Kath
Thanks so much for your encouraging words. I had the results of my 2nd BT today and Friday I was 140 but by Monday was 550!! At the doubling rate that is Tuesdays amount so I'm well and truly up there! I'm so excited by it all and feel really ok about this one.
Mum let it slip to her boss! ran into her workroom to grab her bag and her boss wanted to talk - she said, gotta be quick, I've got to get kfc, tina's got cravings. LOL, I just wanted some junk food. She's told two people now, hoping that is all until first week of November when we start telling people. She does try - just lets it slip out lol,
I can't talk - I've randomly told about 5 people...kick myself afterwards but cant help it
Karen Van wow you are so close now so exciting and a homebirth how wonderful Hope your last couple of weeks are really relaxing for the joy to come.
Welcome TinaR
Hi to all,
ATM had my scan Monday was good mum was really supportive, it took ages! 45 minutes, got a couple of cool pics and a CD but it only has a pic of my plecenta and a hand on it! wanted more!
OB said all is going well, my pleceta is a little low but nothing to worry about I'll have another scan at 34 weeks wich will be really comfortable NOT! but on a cool note I heard baby's Heartbeat today for the first time, almost cried but didn't.
I'm feeling ok, really achy at night and not coping with sleeping on my sides, 2 hours turn 2 hours turn, toilet. But I'm going to book in to the physio asap.
Baby is a booter, love feeling the little but increasingly strong kicks.
WTH - Girdle is a little uncomfy and has not helped yet. Yay for washing baby clothes it does start to get you excited.
