It seems as though it has been along time for me between posts. I have been reading, just not posting.
tinar - glad to see your ticker moving along.
chappas - sounds as though your little man is nearly ready.
wth - I hope that you are feeling better.
z star - the next couple of weeks will fly for you, I'm glad that everything has settled down for you now.
Hi to everyone else on this thread.
AFM trying hard to take it one week at a time. Ms has been pretty bad over the past couple of weeks, with vommiting and everything. I have really been struggling to cook dinner, stay on top of the housework and look after my little man, although I am not complaining as the days that I don't vommit I get really nervous. My ms seems to be subsiding a little now, which is making me very anxious. I even looked into hiring a doppler, has anyone else done this? I think my nerves stem from my mc, where I thought I was nearly 13 weeks when I started bleeding only to find out that the fetus had stopped growing at about 10 1/2 weeks. My ob was happy enough with everything last time I saw him to not see my again until 13 weeks after my nucal scan, which is still 2 weeks away. Like everyone I am just hanging to get past the first tri before I can truly enjoy being pregnant. Apologies for such a worried post.
good to hear from you! my ms has backed off too. i backed off when i was having that week of brown discharge and never really came back. i freaked out. i went to ob and he did a scan and everything was fine. i heard the heartbeat last week when i went to doc for my tummy bug. i got online and looked at hiring a doppler for the next month and then backed out. i then started to worry that if i couldn't get it in the right spot to hear the heartbeat i would freak out and it would make it all worse. i have my next scan next tuesday. it seems so long in between scans or ob visits and we all know the reality of what can happen in between. hang in there and stay positive. you have to do what you need to to keep your mind at ease. so, if that is hiring a doppler or having blood tests or scans than go for it. there is no right or wrong. i'm ticking the days off til i see bub on the big screen. can't wait!
TinaR- I read your posts and they remind me so much of how I was feeling in the first few weeks- especially the tiredness and the peeing!!!! Sounds like everything is going well- take care of yourself. Will be thinking of you for Thursday- your bub sounds like a sticky one!!
zstar- big congrats on 11 weeks! Good luck with your nuchal and blood tests.
josh'smum- sorry to hear you have had such bad m/s, hope you start to feel better soon. I know how worrying the first tri can be- although I never did, I think hiring a doppler is a great idea if it makes you feel more at ease. Wishing you lots of luck with the next 2 weeks.
easha- 2 weeks to go, you must be sooo excited. All the best, you sound very organized.
Karen van- I have read very beautiful stories about homebirths, and I think it's great that we have choices like this. Good luck with the final preps.......sounds like it's all coming together.
chappas- Yay to 37 weeks!! I have been reading abit about VBAC's and will be very interested to hear about your experience.
AFM- I visited my sister in Sydney over the weekend. She is 34 weeks pregnant with her first bub. It was so lovely to spend time with her. Left my boys at home and relaxed- with lots of eating, talking and lazing about!! I am constantly tired and have had alot of lower back pain- my hot water bottle seems permanantly attached to me!!- but generally feel good. Having lots and lots of movement from bub which is lovely.
To all the others I have missed, thanks for welcoming me to this thread. The support you give eachother is fantastic.
xx Kath

I had some bright red blood last night and of course freaked out. Went to Early preg service this morning and they did quantitive HCG and scan. Zen is now apparently 5wk, 3 days (one day diff but I won't change ticker yet) and my hcg is REALLY high apparently. Midwife is very happy and said call anytime I need to.
Feel like I can breath. Still have ultrasound on Thursday cause DB was upset to miss todays and I have ANOTHER one next Thursday lol....bring on that heartbeat.
Tina- OMG that must have completely freaked you out. Very pleased to hear that your hCG levels are still very high. Hoping that your little bundle stays put.
