Given your history my love I would phone - and ask for an u/s. You are right that often scant pink discharge can mean that a cervix is dilating... HOWEVER!
It can happen with no known cause in healthy pregnancy. I understand your concerns and I would be feeling anxious also.
sometimes some thrush can cause irritation - sometimes just the increased blood supply to the area can cause it too...
Good girl Trust me you have done the right thing! I'm sure you don't need me to say this, but make sure you push him for a scan tomorrow OK? I assumed you were still having the Friday scans but I know if it were me and I had to wait until next Tues I would be a total basket case! And if there is a problem then at least he can deal with it ASAP. I'm sure you and bub will be fine but better to be safe than sorry....LMK how you get on OK?

I have been in bed the last week with a really bad case of the flu. I was put on antibiotics (which stressed me out) and I am finally on the med. Actually got out of bed today!
Our bub is doing well. Strong heartbeat and very active. It is a relief to feel bub moving! We are only going to go to a max of 37 weeks so not that long to go now. Last day of work on the 7th August and I can't wait!
Anyway - I am going back to bed. Just know I am thinking of you all
Theresa - awwwww, sorry you have been with the flu! Glad you are getting some zzzzz and that you have been feeling some reassuring kicks.
Karan van - WOW - one month of work to go, and counting. That is great you are going to make the most with DD before your little bubba comes. I am trying to do the same thing, though we have not told our 3-year old yet...

Greenslw - I can totally relate to your post. Ever since my first MC I have been staring mortality and the real gift (often taken for granted) that birth is, in the face. My head rattles with statistics across the whole 40 week plan. I miss the blissful ignorance of my first PG - I don't ever think I will feel confident this time around. BTW - your clinic rocks! It is nice to know they are so cool about you calling, OCD or not!

Erybery - I have an anterior placenta, too. Some days I barely feel a twinge, and only keep sane because my doppler is picking up the HB. When is your next Ob appointment?
Meredith - GREAT WORK, UPSY DAISY! Glad to read the scan went to plan! Can understand your concern re: cervix - but just want to let you know it is in "normal" range. What matters is variation. Should you have another scan any time soon, maybe see if they might check it for you so you can compare. Also, after 28 weeks the cervix will automatically shorten, as the final weeks of PG approach. I was very interested to read your thoughts on passing the 20 week mark. I found it quite significant, too. Why do they make it 20 weeks? I wish I had had the option of having more to do with my angels after their (earlier) passing. To have had the option of cremation and to keep them somewhere very special at home might have helped me a little with moving on. I asked at the time, but was not allowed. Of course, I will never have complete closure. IKWYM about the idea of having a real live baby in our arms - I feel exactly the same way.

Just want to enjoy the rest of the time with DD before the bub arrives and try to enjoy what little is left of the pregnancy now that I'm a bit more relaxed than I have been. We won't be having any more either, and I have a feeling that DD will be a bit of a handful when she no longer has our undivided attention
Deejoy - Oh no about the gastro I hope they looked after you well at NPH. And those dratted preschool viruses I have had 3 of the stupid things now! Glad your DS's are so excited - my DD is the same too, she keeps asking me if the baby sister is going to come out yet LOL I hope not for a few more weeks! They are so cute the things they come out with aren't they?
Greenslw - How awful for your colleague's SIL and family It is so very sad when the innocence of being pg is shattered like that, I'm like WTH too had the blissfully ignorant first pg too which in hindsight I'm very grateful for. WTH I think IVF clinics have to cater for OCD because the do so many things 'to us' rather than for us. when it works they have to guide us through. Like you said no more ignorant bliss. But I apreciate it more.

Hi to all YAYA long weekend, I'm off to the farmers market and coffee with old friend. DP is coming but I'll feed him up so he keeps happy.
ATM home early from work. Just putting together a pregnancy friendly nibble plate for a night out (really would prefer night in) but have to keep up with friendships I guess. Up side step son finishes work at 9.30 so that's my escape A lady at work asked if I was pregnant due to my emotional outburst and talking a little too much about babies. I lied but it is too soon. Last night I lay awake for hours planning my exit plan from work. I think it's going to be messy bummer. oh well it's a while off.
Erybery - its going to be a loooong 2nd half of these pg's but hopefully we all come out the other side vaguely sane!
Megsmum - yay on your little girl being fairly much confirmed and glad she is doing all the right things in there. Really not that long to go for you! Well done on buying something for her. Not sure when i will feel safe to go there.

WTH - yaay at CM staying "normal". Thanks for understanding my worries. I never had an "innocent" pg given 2 m/c's prior to DS but this pg is really doing my head ( and body) in. I hate wishing the weeks away. It could be my last pg and I would love to enjoy every moment but guess thats the price some of us have to pay. Here's hoping we both get well into the 30th weeks before the joy of holding healthy babies.
BTW, you are very restrained to have kept it a secret from DD for so long! My DS is only 2.5yrs but no way he could ignore my belly now. He also has to come with me to all my appts/ ultrasounds etc so would well and truly know even if we said nothing. He sadly knows far to much about scans etc!
Greenslw - Don't worry about lying re your pg. Don't tell until you are really ready. Its no one else's business
