    kellbell~congrats

Mildez~no at frist she was putting weight on fine she would fuss. Then there were days were she would just cry and cry. Then went from eating like a champ to not wanting to eat all then the throwing up happened and i was telling my bf at frist that there was somethng wrong he told me that i was just overeacting.the dr was slow with finding out what happening. The insurance finally paid for the med and we have been feeding her formula with extra powder and also ceral. At the dr appointment she has put on some weight.

Forshelby-You are not a bad mother this is what happens when you have a baby it take s a while to settle them into a routine and with FF bubs it can take a few different ones until you find what suits bub best MARINA'S INFANT MIXTURE from the chemits it is a natural peppermint mixture for lower abdominal pain and colic it was on a current affair i started using it and ella burps at the drop of a hat now i love love love it and she is sleeping so much better on it.
And i dont know if ella is lactose intolerant or not but the formulas that have more casin in them seem to be harder on her belly and they build up in the gut and cause gas and colic NAN HA gold is 100% whey protein which is gentle on the belly and was good but ella was hungry on it and still a little windy so lactose free was the next step which is thicker and fills her more but without the lactose to build gas so now we have decided to put her on novalac colic as she is still moaning and groaning in her sleep and very restless she is asleep and only wakes once during the night and then at 6-7 in the morning but keeps me awake with her uncomfortable noises.
try a different formula go for one gentler on the belly and give it a few days to see how it goes and the Marina's infant mixture give before every bottle and the wind should come up easier and it can be given up to 8 times a day.
It has taken us 2 weeks of trying new formulas and different things to work out what is working and what isnt Ella loves a hot wheat pack wrapped in a blanket we put her on her belly on the lounge it will settle her if she is having pain before.
And bubs can feel your tension i know its hard try to keep calm and just remember crying doesnt hurt them so you dont kneed to hold him all the time sometimes bubs need to grumble and have a little cry they learn to self sooth that way.
Of course dont let him get worked up and to upset.

Honestly hun take a deep breath it will get better you just need to do what you can and try to sleep when he does.
And us experienced 4 time mum's have unsettled babies to.

Congratz kellbell a little boy how sweet.

Mel I have had low fluid for 3 out of my 4 kids. Some places freak about and some have been ok. If DD was ok the it was probably just that you are a 'normal' low person! The discharge sounds normal but if your worried you should call your MW

    Hey everyone!!

KellBell! Congratulations on beautiful baby boy Jayden!!!

Reet - Look at your ticker chick!!! WOW! How you doing?

Alish - EIK to no toilet!! What the heck are they thinking!!!

Forshelby - I just want you to know that Im thinking of you, i dont have the answers for the questions you have right now but we are all here to support you in every way we can! I am sure that your feelings, fears and emotions are all completely normal! Im so happy to read that today was a good day, dont forget about today when a bad day sneaks up on you! xx

Joeve - oh sweetheart, im sorry your little one had to leave so soon, your in my prayers and my heart breaks for you

Tegam / Ferrals / Dory- were all so lucky to have you in here! Your knowledge is so reassuring! xx

AFM - Well we saw my ob yesterday and my fundal measurement is now measuring 35-36 wks! Ob said that I defiantly wont be going past 38 wks due to my kidneys. He said he has consulted with my Urologist and they both agree that they dont want to take any risks so I will be induced... or depending on the babys size at tomorrows scan, he may possibly schedule a c-section but he said we will discuss it more at our next appt in 2 wks! This means I have no more than 6wks left! Holy moly! I got so emotional! Poor DH, i sobbed all the way home! Reality just kicked in and I had my first 'Oh my god im gunna be a mummy and what if i suck at it' moment! I guess i just feel like i have so much to organise and all of a sudden - i have a deadline! DH was wonderful and we came home, wrote some checklists of what i want/ need to get done... its really not that much so today i feel a lot more calm and in control and we get to meet our lttle one sooner than expected so that exciting!!!

I was also sobbing cause i didnt know how to swaddle! lol! Gosh i was a trainwreck! Damn those hormones! DH's aunty who is a midwife dropped by today and she showed me how to swaddle! So thats todays achievement!! I can swaddle!

T-Hopes- I dont even know how to hold a newborn! haha. I tried holding a friends a couple weeks ago and absolutely freaked out and had to hand him to dh to hold. Ppl say it will be different when its my own but im not so sure! They have always scared me a little! I love when they can start holding there own head up..they dont seem so fragile! Learning to swaddle hasnt even crossed my mind! haha. Maybe i need to make a list of things i need to learn before this baby arrives! I bet it wld be a long list!
U have a date! Yay! How very exciting!! I hope u can just be induced and dont need a c-section but at the end of the day if ur little one is here happy and healthy thats all that matters!

Im going really well thanks for asking! Heaps of energy, feeling way too good to be having a baby in a week! Thinking im definitely going to go over.. dammit! But hey anything cld happen i guess!

Dh has just called, ill be back soon! xxx

Forshelby- Im so sorry to hear u have been having such a rough time Im not even going to try and offer u any advice because i dont have any to offer! I think ill be asking the same questions in a few weeks time so i hope u remember some of the helpful tips from these lovely ladies so u can pass them onto me when im going insane!
Im glad ur feeling a bit better today, its amazing what a good rest can do. I dont think im going to cope well at all when im sleep deprived.
Thinking about u.. and make sure u enjoy ur day and night tomoro nite! (oh and go on.. give ur dp some haha)

Melster- From what i have heard the fluid is a yellowy colour so if its just clear its probably just normal cervical mucus. Ask ur dr at ur next check up tho. I have had quite a bit of cm this pregnancy..but its been more whitish in colour, one thing im looking forward to when im not pg anymore.. no more panty liners everyday!!

Alish- No toilet without a big walk..NO WAY!! How annoying! I guess u cld use it to ur advantage tho and take extra long walking to the toilet every time u need to go, which will be every half hour.. u will spend ur day having toilet breaks! So how many weeks left of work do u have?? Hopefully it goes super quick for u!!

Tegam- I have a hug a bub but was trying to get my hands on a close carrier instead just cos it looks so much easier to work out! Did it take u long to suss the whole hug a bub thing out?? It looks a little difficult! I love the idea of them tho, the baby snuggles in to u just like a little mammal wld snuggle into its mummy.. so adorable!

Ferrals- All settled in now?? Ur super woman for managing to move with a newborn! Did ur boys help out a lot?? Hows dh going with looking for work?? It must be so nice and helpful having him home all the time with u

Mildez- I really hope ur feeding issues get sorted soon. Im starting to get a little worried about the problems i might have... i didnt realise so many problems cld arise from trying to feed a baby. I think im in for a rude awakening!

Cheezlemonster- Im so glad that this pg is feeling a lot different.. definitely a good sign!

Hi Damprye and angelfish! Im sure i have missed other ppl, im so sorry if i have.. a big hello to everyone tho!

AFM- Had ob. appointment today, baby is still not engaged completely. I kinda knew that tho since i havent had any pressure down there whatsoever. Like i said to t-hopes before im feeling way too good still! Im just waiting for the whole 'im so over being pregnant!' stage to kick in! I think if i wasnt so excited about meeting this little baby i cld stay pregnant forever! I just dont know how ive gotten away with no typical pregnancy symptoms the whole time, from start to finish ive felt great.
Baby is still measuring a little small, today it was just under 38 weeks, and the bizarre thing is i lost half a kg in the last week. Ob said baby is definitely not suffering tho, its just sucking what it needs from me.. im hoping its taking my thighs!

My lovely mummy dear took me shopping yesterday arvo, now i have got everything i need! Im so glad she suggested it cos i dont think i wld have gotten around to going otherwise! Bought knickers, pyjamas, comfy pants, nursing pads, mat. pads.. and a few other bits and pieces for my hospital bag. Also bought a few baby things, like cot sheets, blankets, wipes, nappies...
I suddenly got so excited when we were buying it all!
So now im almost ready to have this baby! Just gotta wash the little clothes and blankets ppl have already given us for him/her, set the room up properly and ofcourse pack my hospital bag! Yay! Cant rush these things tho.. dont want to be sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting for things to kick off.. wld much rather be busy and waiting at the same time

    Anyway hope everyone is well!

    Nite nite xxx

Kellbell: Woo Hoo! Congratulations on the arrival of little Jayden! Well done!

Joeve: I'm so sad for you that your little one couldn't stay : (
I hope you will be back in this thread with a sticky BFP very soon.

Forshelby: My DD screamed for hours a day between 5- 10wks of age. When she wasn't eating she was screaming. Not much sleeping either. I got through because i had this book called Baby Love by Robin Barker which said that a lot of babies spend hours a day crying at about 4- 12 weeks of age and then things get better. It was very exhausting but having that information made me feel better: like it wasn't something that would go on forever. It did improve about 3mths of age. But looking back now I think I wasn't very aware of what to look for in terms of tired signs. I think DD was often just overtired and so harder to settle, slept worse when she did sleep, and I fed her more thinking she must be hungry then poor DD was probably uncomfortable in the tummy from too much milk. A couple of times she did these absolute Exorcist baby waves of vomit after hours of screaming (seriously scared the pants off DH and me: we didn't know so much liquid could be stored in a baby that size!) Anyway, i guess what i'm saying is that they often scream more at that age but also that being overtired makes babies unhappy and in turn they feed and sleep worse. Not sure if this is of help but thought i'd throw it into the mix of things for you to think about. But more importantly, it's normal to feel like a 'bad mum' at times (but you aren't) and it's normal to wonder 'why in hell was i so keen to have one of these things?' (a baby!) but sleep deprivation and hours of screaming and rocking/patting/feeding messes with the strongest mind. Good on you for organising a helping hand and some time out. But perhaps give maternal and child health another chance? They might have something to offer you; even if it is just hooking you up to a new mums group. I found mine very good support and still keep in touch with some of them (though not everyone falls in love with the group they are assigned to. It is the luck of a the draw a bit).

Ferrals5: well done on sorting feeding issues and moving house. Sounds exhausting. Can't believe Ella is 1mth old already. Where did the time go??!!!

Mildez: hope little J is sorted with her feeding issues soon.

T-hopes: chuckled over your posts re the haemorrhoid (sp!) a while back. Oh the joys! Cream from the chemist can help. Oh, and well done on baking a good size bubba! Not long to go now! Yup, now you know how to swaddle you are sorted!

Reet: you are now crowned the pregnantest! Congrats!

India's mum: i also had my heart in my throat as I read your post. Praying hard your bubba stays safe. Others have had bleeds at around your stage with a happy ending still so hoping that is the case for you. Glad everything seemed fine on scan. (Shame it took so long to get reassurance though).

cheezelmonster: good luck for your scan. I know i also felt better as i got past each of the 'milestones' i set for myself.

Angelfish: hope all is good for Honour from here on in. Sounds like it's been stressful.

Alish: my Dh was able to feel baby from the outside in the last week... but it's hard to catch because baby still doesn't kick for long periods of time or that often so it was pot luck that he managed to have his hand on my tummy at the right time. oh, and the 'no toilet' thing is a shocker! I agree though: they'll just have to let you take lots of breaks!

    Damprye, Tegam, Dory: hi!

AFM: I expected to feel much better once the baby was moving everyday but... my confession is i don't. The baby doesn't move that much until afternoon/evening and in the last couple of days it's been quieter: the kicks are more like small 'shudders' and not so much movement at the front. I think it must be facing the back at the moment. It freaks me out: i keep torturing myself that the baby isn't moving as much as it 'should' be and then i get scared it is sick. There's no point running to my OB all the time for reassurance because what can he do anyway? They can't take the baby out, it's too early. I know i just have to wait and hope. I know baby is still alive because it's moving but i can't shake the fear of losing it. (Sorry, hate saying 'it' but don't know if it's a girl or boy. I think it's a boy but based on gut feeling only. No real clue). I hate feeling like this, being so negative, but i'm spending lots of time worrying and having dreams that the baby isn't ok. I can't believe how many weeks i still have to go. I hope the feelings settle as the kicks get stronger and more regular.

Possum- My bub seems to move almost constantly yet I still feel exactly the same as you. I'll be busy for so long and then I'll have a sudden realisation that I havn't felt bub move in ages and I'll go lay down until I do because it is all that can even begin to settle me and I logically know that the reason I havn't felt the movements is because I am too busy with DS or cleaning (those seem to go together though ) but I don't think that anything can ever stop us worrying over our bubs because we love them so much
No need to apologise for saying "it" cos when people ask what you're having, one of the common phrases is "so do you know what it is yet?" My general response to that is "it's a baby " but that's because I'm being a smart arse to my friends cos they know I'm not finding out haha.
I just noticed that the fruit tickers say that a banana is bigger than a rockmelon, IMO, Id rather be pushing out a damn banana

Reet- My friend hit her due date and decided that she was going to go over but nope, just before midday, baby engaged and she had him a few hours later lol. Woohoo for getting all excited and going shopping, it does make things a lil more real once you have everything although it is still nothing in comparison to actually holding your lil one in your arms of course ^.^

T-Hopes- Isn't it scary when you look at a date and think to yourself "my baby is going to be here on or by then" and whoa, what a chubba bubba

    Kellbell- Woohoo and congatulations

So girls, who do you all think will pop next?

possum - lol the baby is the size of a banana, how funny!!!
its normal to "stress" some nights i think omg somethings happened cuz in the past week or so bubba has been going mental, last night it was very quiet, brett still got to feel it moving but it wasnt for long! hugs, youre not alone xx
p.s i call the baby it all the time!

reet - oh my god 6 days to go!! time has really flown glad your mum helped you out, you prob feel a bit more prepared! you can wash half of the things now, things can always be washed once you get home, not that youll prob feel like it anyway but at least you wont be under as much pressure before the baby comes! its good that youre not feeling over it either, youve seemed to have a really "breezy" pregnancy (not without the stress), thats good!

i have 15 weeks left of work, i said im finishing on the 5th aug, which will make me 35 weeks, now that im thinking about it, is that too soon or late? what do you ladies think?
i want to try and work as long as i can but working on my feet in a hardware all day is doing its toll now, i cant imagine when im that far along how stuffed ill be, plus we cant afford for me not to work

forshelby - as ive said before, you are a great mother and you are doing a great job, axel wouldnt want any other mummy! xox

thopes, sorry the news you got wasnt exactly what you wanted, on the plus side, you will have your beautiful baby in your arms in 6 weeks!! and yay for swaddling.... i dont even know what that is yet haha! im guessing its wrapping the baby up?

tegam - hows miss molly? im still in love with that picture!

hey dory & ferrals, hows it going?

hello to the ladies ive missed, i hope youre doing well

got my appointment today, hopefully baby co-operates & we can find out the sex! will let you know

    have a nice day!

    MOrning!!

Possum - I just bought that book 'Baby LOve.' My g/f's swear by it so good to hear that you recommend it too! I can completely relate to still feeling anxious about bub! I thought once i hit that 20wk mark i would be fine but I didnt either! I kept using my doppler till about 24 wks cause i was so paranoid! By then the movements were a lot more regular for me so i settled in to it more.. BUt some days when im flat out and not focusing on it as much, i guess i miss a lot of the movements and then i think ' OMG, how long has it been since i felt anything?' As Dampyre said, we love these babys so much it hurts! We have dreamed of them, hoped and prayed for them... Try to ignore that little voice in your head that is saying something may go wrong.... If you listen really closely, your heart will let you know that everything will be ok xx

Alish - im finishing up work next Friday so just b4 i hit 34 wks. I was worried it was too early but so glad i am now cause this little one will be hear earlier than we thought! So are you able to sit down at all at your work? Good luck for todays scan and my guess for you is GIRL!

Dampyre - I think REET is next to pop!! And *GULP*... I think i may be next??!

Reet - I know what you mean about the newborn and holding them! I used to be so worrried about supporting their neck too!!! Im fine about it these days cause i have 8 nieces and nephews so my sisters helped me work it out there but gosh it used to worry me Yep we have so much to learn but they will teach us heaps in hospital i guess!! And i guessing we will never stop learning!!! Glad to hear you are feeling so well!! Its wonderful! I hope your birth is just as smooth sailing as your pregnancy too!!! xx

AFM - Well i best be off, we have our scan this morning to check out my kidneys and our little chubba bubba! Gosh i really hope Melb IVF didnt accidentally inseminate me with elephant sperm! Gosh!

PS thanks for all the bum/haemorrhoid advice! hhehehe! Eeew its so gross!

Alish! Ohhhhh yayayyaaya! A baby girl! How exciting!! Correct guess for me!!! IM sooo tempted sometimes to peek in our envelope and check!!!! When is your proper scan?

Our scan went well, bubs est weight now 5lb 3oz so still big but now only measuring 2wks aheead instead of 2.5wks which is good for the possibility of a natural birth?!! Maybe!?! Anyway my doc will decide whats best still i guess! Anyway bub is happy and healthy so we are very pleased! Head still down and low and wasnt as camera shy today so we got a few pics! Yayay! My kidney is still the same but thats to be expected! Under 6wks to go now so im sure we will be fine!
