oh my god forshelby! 13 DAYS!!!! that was a lovely thing you did today, and no offence to old people, but some really do think the world owes them, dont worry you are a good person!

kellbell - sorry about the diabetes, but i too had to giggle about your pants, put it down to baby brain!

thopes - glad your kidneys were fine! as for the pram, i bought a steelcraft cruiser, the bassinet actually detaches so you can have the baby facing you or other people, they are around 279 - 349 in target, depending on if its on sale, hope that helps

hi ferrals - some people really are f*ckheads! thank god the judge backed you guys up on the "future dental work" what a crock!

melster - i love my ob too but he is a specialist as well so he is so much in demand, im really untrustworthy of doctors and im p*ssed that he may not be there, he is an hour away from where we live so i travel to see him, i wont go to the next town cuz ive heard the hospital is crap so i have to deal with it!
my sister put on 30 kgs throughout both her pregnancies, her doc never said it was bad! maybe talk to ur doc if you r worried
i reckon ive put on a couple already, no more than 5 though! all my pants still fit so far :P

hi everyone else! belly rubs, hugs and hope youre all well!

yuck ive been finding if ive eaten too much i get the worse gas (sorry tmi) i dont think ive eaten too much at the time but i obviously have lol, by the time lunch comes around im starving & dont realise, maybe i should snack through the day?

Thanks girls haha the midwife wasnt going to tell me im glad she did i might have gone to the shops like that what a preg moment
DP thought it was soooo funny

T - hopes - Id go with a pram where you can see bubs. make sure its not too wide and you can fold it easily and that it fits in the boot. take it out to the car and try it out thats my advice. Def something that reclines all the way for a newborn
My friend is selling me a double pram for 50 bucks woohoo. the one i really wanted was a city select double but they are 800 dollars so alas we cant afford it.
I always check out other peoples prams at the shops some look so cool im jealous

Forshelby - i cant wait to read your BA so exciting. You are lovely to let the other women go first. Id be so grateful if someone did that for me. Ill PM you thanks

Melster glad your fighting her on the child support she sounds awful hope she dosent get a cent and gets in trouble with her buisness.
10kg sounds fine - have you been getting lots of lovely kicks now?
woohoo for half way 20 weeks

Ferrals cant believe all that trouble from liars. glad the judge saw through the future dental work crap.
When did Ella drop for you?. my boy is so high and i cant breathe or eat hoping he drops soon

Alish i love your preg avatar its so cute
that must be a pain having to travel so far to your OB!

Bubs had hiccups tonight and DP lay there counting them and trying to fix them for him soooooo lovely. If i have to be induced it could be only 6 weeks away and i dont even have a bag packed so not organised

Kell - nice new ticker I see! Yay for 31 weeks, sorry about your GD. You can get through it! Way too funny about your duds too.... I just think it's cute... maybe cause I have done that sort of thing too.

Ferrals - glad the court case is over.. pity that DP lost his security license but glad the other charge was dropped and yay for no "future possibly maybe bad teeth" compo.

Hugs to everyone, just a a short one from me today...thinking of you all and your little bumps.... well not so little now for some. Yay.

Melster - hugs for your angels EDD - and thanks for sharing about 35 gain... I've put on 20 since my first m/c and I was worried, though my obs has never mentioned weight at all.

T - Hopes - hmm I have pram envy too, like Kell. Even though I have one I like I am always checking out others. We bought a mountain buggy urban jungle and I love it. We also got the carry cot which means bubs could face us until at least 3/4 months of age and we used the pram with carry cot as a sleeping space ( could wheel bubs around when unsettled). Boy did I get a shock when we had to use the actual pram part and bubs faced away from us, but she was so ready. The mountain buggy jungle has some down sides - it's large and doesn't fit through all shopping checkouts, and it takes up the boot in our car, post casesar it's cumbersome to get in and out of the car, but it didn't take long. But I love it. My friend just had her heart set on a buggaboo and she got it and loves it but it was way expensive brand new. Some friends of mine have the city joggger for twins and they like it, but baby could only sit facing away. I have heard the striders are good and they have the travel system which would be handy. It can be hard to get bubs in and out of a car seat and it seems like a lot of people have a capsule at least, and the strider has a whole lot of extra's but I didn't like the plastic wheels. But even though there are some down sides, I love my mountain buggy. Maybe next time I'd go for the next size down though..... not sure what it's called, it's just a bit narrower and lighter. I have read some studies that say it's better for babies to face or be able to see their caregiver.... but I am not sure if there have been any long term studies about it. In the end, it's about personal preference. I loved being able to see bubs and how she was doing. I still miss that part of our pram experience, so for me, walking involves lots of stopping to check and peek. LOL

Alish - yep snack more- it helps.

Mildez - YAY for bubs being head down... what's that called again? Don't work too hard but enjoy the a/c!

Stikll havn't sorteed out my phone so still very limited on net. Have finished movint the big stuff into my new house. 14weeks today and still with the MS. I think I felt the bub move today, whatever it was sent me running for the loo though lol.
So glad to be able to check in and see how everyone is going
As for the pram stuff, I had one that faced away from me when DS was lil, I mostly used the sling though and then one day I cracked the sh*ts about not being able to see him and brought a new one that I'll be using with this bub too. IDK what it is called but it is one of the more expensive ones from Target and it can have a normal seat, capsal or bassinette in it, all facing however you want it. I have the seat and capsual because I wanted the convenience of not having to feed bub every time we got in or out of the car like DS lol.

Thopes I have had 5 prams all up and none of them have been perfect much to my husbands disgrace

I now have a mountain buggy urban?, its the light small one, it perfect for me but has a fixed front wheel so if you were someone that was going to use a pram with an older (heavier) child this wouldnt be great. I get my kids walking as soon as they can walk!

I also have the mountain buggy twin, i love this for my exercise or when we are going somewhere for a huge day.

I dont miss not having a baby face me but i use my HAB most of the time for my babies...

    So really no help there

Dory-He can go for future compo dental work but has to go through the victims compensation tribunal and prove he needs the work and they have a set capped amount so he wont get the ridiculas $12,000 he was asking for.
But so far his teeth look fine to me so i doubt he will be able to prove much.

    Hi all!

Thank you all soooo much for all your pram advice!! You have really helped! So nice to get feedback from real mums, not just whatever the sales lady is trying to push on us! Every different shop i went in to last week, i came out sold on something different! Im gunna take my mum to have a peek at our top two on Saturday to get her opinion and make sure im not missing something and to also try them in my boot! After all my researching, I think we are 90% sold on the Baby Jogger City Elite and we'll also the get the bassinet for when bubs is little. Its super easy to fold, fairly lite, nice and cosy for bubs and reclines all the way + its great to wheel on bumpy surfaces. DH and i are quite active, always out at the park with our dogs or going on big walks so i guess this will be the one that will fit into our lifestyle!?! Its not a cheap purchase though huh! Just over $1000 inc bassinet! It better be good or DH will have my head!!! Then again, thats his fave too!
Tegam - 5 prams! OH lord! I get the feeling i will too one day, i cant get enough of them!
Kell, Dory - I already have pram envy when i see a beautiful one! I often stalk them in shopping centres trying to see what type it is!! hehheh! the most beautiful are the Emmaljunga - take a peek at Emmaljunga • Reliable prams, manufactured in Sweden OMG! Devine! We looked at them too but DH banned me! says they arent practical, too big, too dear blah blah! hehehehe!

Anyway - thank you all so much for your advice!!!

MIldez - heheh - yay for ticker being head down!!!
Melstar - Id put on aprox 7kg when i weighed myself last week, im sure there would be an extra one on already if i was to weigh myself tonight after the monster dinner i just devoured! Thinking of you for Fridays angel DD its such a hard time xx
ALish - yep i graze all day, i try to never get myself to the point of being so hungry that i feel ill, i have muesli bars, sultanas, fruit etc in my handbag and drawers at work at all time!
Ferrals - good to hear that the court case is over! Cant believe the bastards tried to get you to fork out that much for dental! Bastards!!

Anyway im gunna go for a walk, i had a huge dinner and feel like im gunna pop! Eeeeh, never eating rissoles again! 1st time ive had indigestion, gross feeling

    xx

I'm feeling like a real selfish pig at the moment as I'm about to write another me me post. Well I was officially freaking out that this bub was going to arrive soon. I've calmed down now but I have this feeling I can't shake. So it started today when I lost a big blob of stuff down below (Forshelby what you decribed you had ages ago like a show but the wrong colour) anyway that didn't freak me out as there was no brown, pink, red etc in it. Well I was tightening all day no big deal seeing as I have been having that since 15weeks but for the first time they were coming when I was sitting and lying down. Then they got painful. They and felt like contractions (low in the front, and in the back with the tightening abdomen) I was really thinking oo-oh especially when I did a palpation on myself and her head is so low almost in my vagina. Where I'd expect it to be when someone presented in labour. And it has no movement in it what so ever so its well and truely engaged (although I know it could possible come back up seeing as its not my first) anyway I'm now pain free (and perhaps its just from the runs) but OMG I thought I'd be given steroids and nifedipine to stop the labour there for a while. So now I'm conpletely fine but still in shock I have these suttle signs bub is getting ready to arrive when I still have 6weeks to go. I'll be laughing at myself if I now go over due. DH is also in a panick and wants to put me on strick bed rest and finally has a good excuse to deprieve me of DTD! Apart from that I've been trying to find icons on the nappy hunt but I'm not going very well.

Now tomorrow I will be back to do personals unless something eventful happens. And I need to pack a hospital bag. I dread the thought of DH packing it for me. He would probably put in sz 10 undies that have long outgrown my bottom! No he would definately do it as thats what he did last time.

Just a quickie, hi to everyone! I will have proper internet next Thurs.

Ferrals- Just wanted to say good luck for your appt on Friday, and hooray for DH's court case being over. It's a pity he now has to start a new career, but hopefully he will find something he loves and kick butt doing it

AFM- slowly going insane from lack of quality sleep. Im so uncomfy and sore, and ohhh the heartburn! Worst thing is I just can't sleep upright. Poor DP can't sleep next to me as I'm snoring 'like a piggy' lol. I know having a newborn won't make sleeping any easier, but at least I will be able to get comfy!
