All the best Ferrals, i've just logged on and seen what is happening in BB preggo land and read your in hospy from a bleed. You sound like your spirits are high, and to be honest I don't think I could fathom the excitement you must be feeling knowing Ella (lovely name too by the way!!) will be here soon. Good for you my girl! Your pics on photobucket are lovely too btw
As for the DR's, insist on what you feel comfortable with. I've got your back big time! I can't wait to hear all about your snuggles, cuddles, tears and sniffing of your little baby girl.
T-Hopes - I heard lots of number 2's mean things are happening..... so we'll see what the next few days bring!
Kellie - I've lined DP up for some action over the weekend, lol. He seemed keen, I didn't have to twist his arm or anything! Hope your DD is having a great birthday today
Possum - There's nothing wrong with not making a big announcement at work......... people will definitely notice on their own eventually.... and once one does, usually the news spreads like wildfire anyway. I say do what you're comfortable with, and enjoy your pg! Looks like it won't be long until you're getting some proper kicks. How exciting!
Iona - Wow, 4 times is a lot! At that rate you might beat ME to the delivery room lol.
Alish - I felt pretty twingey around your stage of pg... I wouldn't worry too much unless the pain is increasing or you have any other weird symptoms. From memory, the stretching type pains lasted from about 15/16 weeks up until 24ish.. then I didn't notice it so much. Or maybe it just changed to that 'heavy' feeling. I've decided that even if I am induced, it's still a natural birth, and I will still stick to my plan to get through the pain without meds. Of course I realise anything can happen so I'm open to intervention if it's NEEDED. I have Reet on my FB and she's been baby shopping. I think this week is her DH's week off so she's probably busy DTD.. lol.
Ferrals - So great to hear from you! And yes you DO have the greatest DH... hehehe. I hope your hospital stay is comfortable, and Ella will be here before you know it. I guess technically you beat me to the hospital! LOL. Glad to hear you're doing well (except for the cannula.. ouch) and I can't wait to read your BA. After reading your next post... now I'm confused too!! Are you able to tell them NO I am not going home, I need to be here where I'm safe???? What an awful feeling not knowing if you can trust what a Dr tells you or not.
Angelfish - I think it's pretty normal to miss being pregnant. Well, the good parts anyway! My #2 habits are sounding more and more promising hehehe. Yay!
AFM - I don't know if anything much has changed yet, but I did have some period like pain last night which was bothering me a fair bit. Anyway, we did the laps of the shopping centre today. I managed a good 2 hours of walking at a pretty normal pace, instead of my normal fat lady shuffling. LOL. I found a gorgeous musical hippo toy which plays 'rockabye baby' to hang on the cot..... and just HAD to get it. Lunch was delicious, I ended up going for the burger with lots of pickles... as I couldn't think of anything spicy I felt like at the time. Now for the funny part. I know you girls will appreciate this story. I have this maxi dress I've been tying a knot in at the top and wearing as a skirt, because it's way more comfortable that way. ANYWAY........ as we got outside heading for the car, I look down and to my horror, my undies with pink lovehearts (I KNOW.. I KNOW...) are showing. It seems the 'arm hole' had slipped out of its carefully tucked in position and slid down far enough to reveal my lovely chunky thigh..... and a good portion of the side of my patterned undies. I laughed so hard I thought I might wet myself. I then told my sister off because she was meant to be 'spotting' me. LOL.... how embarrassment. It wouldn't have been as bad if I was wearing black undies or something. But no, it had to be the pink loveheart ones. I hope that gave you all a good
hahaha forshelby, that is hilarious!! how embarrassment!
glad you had a good day!
yes very very twingey! its not bothering me though, well it is but im not worrying about it anyway! must just mean everything is going to start popping out soon! yay!!
angel - aww you cried, that is very cute i must say
hi everyone else! have a lovely weekend! i have to go out to our block and work tomorrow, and its supposed to be hot... boo!
xxx p.s yay for long weekends
Thanks girls i did get a second opinion and this doctor said the other doctor must have read my notes wrong.
He said there is no way i can have a natural birth and the other docter must have thought the u/s report said 8cm away from os not 8mm anyway if the bleeding has stopped by sunday i am allowed out on day release aslong as i am with DH at all times and only to go home for a few hours and to get my hair cut and get things ready for fridays c section.
So that is good i will get to escape for a bit and do all the things i planned to do but i have to be here of a night because the nurse comes around and does checks every 3 hours.
Forshelby-I have 6 days from tomorrow come on girl you can beat me to the bubby snuggles.
What a crackup about the undies.
Sunny09-did you see the let me out mini video my DH did for me i posted it in my Belly budies thread it is so cute but you might have to go back a thread it is of Ella going nuts in my belly lol.
Anyway good to hear from you and look at your ticker go past the halfway mark now.
Alish-yep been there all the pulling and stretching and twinges and Ella is still giving me grief now my belly is trying to morph into another shape OUCH!
Oh I definatly did Ferrals, she's definatly a little dancer isn't she? It really is the best part of pregnancy, when they move about inside you, and its just lovely when you can share and show it to others. You've done a great job so far in baking her! All the best for Fridays c-sect I wait on the edge of my bed for the news.
xxooxxooxxoo

: spelling!
ferrals~ i cant wait to hear your BA and yeah for being able to get out for a lil bit. That video was great.
Forshelby~ i got a lil laugh about the undies i can see me doing something like that.
AFM~ i am tired Honor was not up all night but if i went to put her down she would cry so i had to sleep next to her all night and i cant get a good night sleep like that. And even this am she was like that it took me 3 hours to get to get into a good sleep she was so over tired
Hope your all having a great weekend! Melbournes weather is awesome today! And so good its a looong weekend! Whoo hoo!!
Ferrals - how confusing with the conflict in docs!! Glad you can escape during the day to get things sorted at home too!
We had an appt with our Ob yesterday and bubby is doing really! Had a little u/sound and he/she was happily bootin away, and is still head down which is great!
I have to have another proper scan in 3 wks though to check my kidneys and also cause bubby is so big! My belly is measuring 29 wks He said there is a possiblilty I may need a cesarean if it keeps growing at this rate! He said he would never induce a big baby to get it out while its smaller and would prefer to let it get to term and do a c-section. HOwever, if i go naturally and bubby looks like a vaginal delivery size, we can still give it a shot! Id much rather a natural birth but at the end of the day, i just want whats best and safest for bub and I! My DH was 9lb15oz and I was 9lb4oz so big babies seem to be a certain for us!
Anyway we'll see how bub is looking in a few weeks!
Enjoy the sunshine xx
PS - Our pram arrived yesterday! Were so excited! And when i got home from work,DH surprised me and bought the bassinet for it too!!! Its awesome! He is sooo sweet! We waited till it got really dark last night and we took it for a walk to the park to test it out! hehehehe! How sad are we!!! We were giggling pushing this empty pram along! OUr dogs are scared of it! Sooo funny!
Just stopping in quickly as I am completely exhausted not feeling too well.
Had a bad headache from thursday night onwards, and was getting regular painful BHs every 20 mins last night, then woke up this morning feeling like something wasn't right so went to maternity and spent 4 hours hooked up to the CTG machine - only because Little Miss' HR was high (175-182bpm when active) and she wouldn't stay still long enough (3 hours straight of constant movements!!! plus only one big contraction in the entire time that made me feel like she was going to pop out right then and there lol) for them to get a good resting HR rythm - and had a pee test that showed ketones were present and that I was dehydrated before they said I was good to go home at 2:30 this afternoon.
They got me to drink a whole heap of water before they let me go, and thankfully it brought Little Miss' HR down to a nice resting level and put her to sleep for an hour or so lol She hasn't been that active for a LONG time, I was getting kicks left right and center, and she wouldn't stop moving her head from side to side either.
The registrar on call did a quick scan too, I didn't get to see the screen but hubby did before he had to go to work, she's still anterior and still engaged, and has developed the habit of lying her body sideways with all her arms and legs stretched out, made the midwife think she had turned posterior again - which the midwife was really nice and helpful and made me feel a lot better about going in as I was worried that it was all for nothing.
So now I just have to take it easy and rest as much a possible, and drink as much fluids as I can to stop me from getting dehydrated again.
Hi All, I thought I'd drop in here, although you all seem to be a LOT further on than me. I got my bfp yesterday at 12DPO - lol, not even a jelly bean yet. But I am so nervous. I can't even let me believe it's real (although the 5 hpts would say different). I've made an appointment for the dr for Friday for a BT and I'm going to bully her into letting me have a 6-7 week scan so I can see a heartbeat, I think it would make me relax a little. We lost our angel on New Year's Day at 8.5 weeks, but it was sort of a missed m/c as bubs had died at 6 weeks. So if I can get past that I will feel a little better.
Anyway, I'm sure that's what you have all gone through, mine's probably nothing in comparison, but I thought I'd drop in here, and it's so good to see so many of you about to pop! What lucky Mums and bubs.
Wannabemum - Welcome and congrats! Being early on in your pg doesn't make you any less welcome here, this is exactly where you belong I was able to have a 7wk scan and it did put my mind at ease. So did getting past the point of my previous loss. The thing which got me through best of all was keeping a positive attitude, and reminding myself that I could do this frequently. Here I am due tomorrow!
Good luck with your BTs and here's to a sticky bub for you.
Thank you - that's so how I'm feeling, if I can have a scan at 7 weeks and see a heartbeat, I know we're past the point angel died. And I know I can carry healthy bubs - DS is awesome. Good luck - can't believe you're due tomorrow, you must be hanging out to meet this baby in person - so exciting!
Wannabeamum~ Welcome all the ladies here are so friendly. Just like forshelby has said stay postive. I had a missed miscarriage in april of last year in may i got pregnate on 1/23/2011 i brought home a healthy baby girl.
Forshelby i still cant believe it good luck i cant wait for you.
Gosh there are a few of you racing to the delivery room!
Ferrals: Can't believe how close you are to delivery day! Gotta have some last minute dramas i guess: Miss Ella seems to like excitement! I hope that is it for now though and you rest comfortably with no more docs scaring you with confusing advice. How awesome though that you can keep in touch from the hospital in the meantime. Your DH thinks of everything!
Iona and Forshelby sounds like both of you have bodies gearing up ready to go. Sooooooo exciting!
T-hopes: i had to giggle at your story of you and DH sneaking out in the dark to walk your pram. That is very cute!
Jenna: I hope all stays well with your little miss. Look forward to reading your BA soon.
Wannabemum: Welcome to the thread. Lots of people come here soon after their BFP so don't worry. It's great to have new people in the thread. I hope you get a great scan soon.
Angelfish: Glad you had a nice lunch with Honour and BF. It's lovely getting to show off your baby. You sound like you've had some pretty tiring nights though. I hope you have some more good nights soon.
Ferrals hope this Friday comes quickly. I'm pleased to hear your home and everything has settled (but will add I'm surprised they didn't do the c/s sooner by a few days) I'll be so excited to read your BA. Only a few days to go woohoo.
Forshelby hope your getting plenty of R&R. Looking forward to reading your BA also. So close now. Maybe your holding your bubba already.
T-Hopes I too thought that was just gorgeous taking your new pram for a walk in the dark.
Wannabmum CONGRATULATIONS on your BFP and welcome. I too joined early and hear I am still here not to far away from having my little bub.
Hello to everyone else.
AFM I finally have washed the Bassinet. It looks so pretty but it doesn't have a mattress as DD got a little excited and tore a piece out of it trying to help. I could use it as its only a little hand size out of the very bottom but I'm of to Clarke rubber this morning to get a new piece cut then I can make it up in unisexed colours. I'm dying to put pink in it lol but wont. Still having BHs just accepted they are normal for me. Bub is still super quiet which is worrying and I have my Ob appointment tomorrow and I know he will just fob me of, tell me its all in my head which it probably is but it doesn't exactly help with the anxiety.
wannabmum, congrats! hope everything runs smoothly for you and welcome
jenna, hope you are resting up, come onnn baby
same goes for ferrals & forshelby!!
thopes, are you lovin your pram? i bet you were excited!!
wow you were both 9 pounds, baby will be big & healthy i was just 5 pound and dh was 9 so im hoping i get a nice 7pounder or something lol..
mildez, everything will be fine, bub is just having a rest
HAPPY 40 WEEKS FORSHELBY!!!!!!
I am getting super excited about my own impending labour.. i just cant imagine how ur feeling now.. u wld be popping out of ur skin!!!
Ferrals- Sorry to hear about ur bleeding scare... good to hear ur in good hands tho at the hospital. Excellent that u got a day pass to to get all those important last minute things done.. like ur haircut etc! Im glad u havent had any more bleeding. U must be popping out of ur skin too and so excited about finally getting to meet Ella soon!!!
Alish- Hope u didnt work too hard over the weekend at ur block!
T-Hopes- Woohoo for ur new pram arriving and ur dh surprising u with a bassinette to go with it!!! So cute that u took it out to have a practise in the dark.. think we will be doing the same once ours arrives! I think we will need practise in walking our 2 doggies and a pram! Can sometimes barely manage the 2 dogs!!
Jennajayen- Good to hear baby is still happy and healthy baking away. Hope ur drinking plenty of water!!
Welcome Wannabemum! Congratulations on ur pregnancy!! I hope u can get that 6 week scan to check for a hb... it was definitely reassuring for me in the early days. If ur dr is a meanie and wont let u, just go to a different dr and say u have no idea how far along u are and u need a dating scan! Best of luck!!
Mildez- I bet u just cant wait to have ur little girl in ur arms! It wld be a bit stressful not feeling her move around all the time. I get myself all scared if i dont feel mine after 10 mins of waiting. Are u on weekly ob. appointments now?? Im getting heaps of BH's too.. starting to get over them! But i just keep thinking birth will hopefully be a lot easier since ive been getting them all the time and for so long.. wishful thinking maybe??!
Hi Possum! Bet ur counting down the days til ur morph scan!!
Kell- How did ur little girls bday go???! Hope it was a lovely lovely day
Hi to everyone else! Hope i havent missed anyone, so sorry if i have.
AFM- Sorry been a bit quiet.. ive been reading all the time, ive just been a slacker! Plus dh has been home for the last week and ive been trying to limit my internet time..cant let him know just how addicted i am!! haha. He left again today til friday probably... I get a bit sick of being home all alone, especially with all this bad stuff happening around the world, it gets depressing! Ill just have to keep busy and clean clean clean!!
We had our 8 HOUR antenatal class on saturday, it was meant to be 2 sessions of 4 hrs but the classes we were booked into were too full so we said it wld be alright to just do the allday one instead. Which im kinda glad about, meant dh cld be there for it all! It made us both so excited to have this baby, i feel like we are ready now! Im really hoping the next 6 weeks goes super quick, i wld love to go a bit earlier then 40 weeks tho. In about 3 weeks im going to be having lots and lots of sex, eating lots and lots of fruit and spicy foods, start walking everywhere, ive been going to get pregnancy massages every few weeks so im going to get her to start massaging the pressure points that apparently bring on labour too, oh and nipple stimulation apparently works too! So there will be a lot of boob playing going on! haha. Lets hope it all works but if not then i guess ill just have to wait til 40 weeks, i hope baby doesnt decide to bake longer tho.
Ive still been feeling really good, starting to struggle a bit rolling over in bed and stuff but other then that pretty normal! Oh except for these BH's! I wake up in pain every night from them when my bladder is a little full, i can barely get myself out of bed! I manage to drag myself to the toilet only to pee a tiny little bit! Its so weird that when ur bladder is a little full it makes u get them. I get them still all day too. Im just hoping that they really are gearing my body up for labour!
Baby is always moving still, always have little feet kicking out around my ribs.. and i cld actually feel its round little head way down low. I love being able to feel its little body and imagine it all curled up in there.
Im not sure if ive told u girls in here but we finally bought a cot and pram.. only thing is they are going to take up to 6 weeks to get here! haha cutting it a bit fine i think! Oh well. We bought the white cot we had our hearts set on and the Baby jogger city mini pram.. we were going to buy a change table brand new but cldnt really afford it since we spent $1300 on the cot and pram. But we actually found one secondhand in our newspaper for $75 so bought that.. it will match perfectly! Its white and the same brand as our cot.. its great! Feeling a bit more organised now..even tho theres still heaps more i have to do!
Anyway better jump off, its lovely and sunny here today.. yay! So over the rain! I really hope it stays sunny.
Hey reet....yeah i know about the cleaning thing....its all i been doing for the last four days...got new carpet and had a big clean out and dd moved rooms and getting the babies room organised...bahhhhh
hey alish..
Mildez...it doesnt matter its better to be safer than sorry
hey pm and angelfish....
Welcome wannabemum.......i can remember feeling how u are feeling. Its completely normal
forshelby and ferrals thinking of u both
hello everyone else....
I have been flat out renovating and moving stuff.....im buggard.....nearly done.....
Hey ladies thanks for the well wishes i am home now and dont have to go back to hospital until 6am friday morning i an on lounge rest no housework ect until then but at least i am home i just wanted to get a few things done before friday so i am all prepared.
Forshelby-How you going?
Reet-feels good to be organised and ready for bub doesnt it but then the waiting seems to take longer wont be long and your DTD marathon can begin.
Alish-you just cant pick it with babies i have been told Ella will be small 6-7 pounds then one doctor said in hospital on friday that she is already 7 pounds+ none of my boys went over 7lb so i have no idea but i am bigger with little miss and way more uncomfortable.
And my best friend had 2 9lb and 10lb boys and her 3rd was 7lb 1oz and she put on over 25kgs and was massive and my other work friend put on over 30kgs and her son was 5lb exactly (although she smoked throughout the pregnancy which p#ssed me off)
it will be a surprise to us all what our bubs weigh.
Midez-They wouldnt do the c/s early because i wasnt gushing blood it was like a period for about 5 hours then light pink for a day then dark brown until sat night then nothing but clear since so i must have just over did the house work and upset the placenta.
And your bassinette sounds beautiful the unisex colours will throw your DH out he will have no clue.
Possums-how good does it feel to pass the 16 week mark do you have a nice little pot belly happening yet.
Wannabemum-welcome and so happy to see another BFP i hope your pregnancy is smooth sailing and you can relax and enjoy every minute of it.
T-Hopes what a crack up with the pram we took ours for a walk around the house with mowgli our cat in it he loves it and is always asleep in it or in Ella's bouncer our poor daughter will have to compete with our puddy's for her things lol.
Angelfish-sometimes bubs can have fussy days my boys were always windy and grizzly around dinner time nothing major just wanted to be burped and patted on the back for half hour but was always during my dinner.
AFM-I hope i make it to friday and am having period aches coming and going and it is running down my legs in waves but Ella is kicking up a storm in my belly surely she would be quiet in there if labour was impending or it could be i am just sooooooooooo
UNCOMFORTABLE.
