Hi Mildez, the doctor thinks that I will be okay through the night given what they saw on whatever machine/ monitor they were using. They did say that the placenta is high and because of the baby's position, I may not feel kicks...but it was still kinda quiet. But the ultrasound showed movement, so that was good, just not a whole bunch (if that makes any sense).
The doctor said that the baby had good "tone" and that the limbs looked good -- meaning, that they weren't "flacid" -- and the little "breathing" chest (baby chest) was a good sign...though it was frequent and fast. Plus, the heartbeat is strong. My blood pressure was just a little higher than normal (but I was anxious) and I haven't had any serious complications to this point. That is why they think that I can go through the night.
I only have two more hours to wait until the OB-GYN office opens. The little bugger needs to wake up. I am thinking about drinking some hot chocolate or something.
I haven't had any contractions ( I had some braxton hicks last week, but nothing much). And the baby was moving just fine the night before last...and on last night's ultrasound, though kinda quiet movements.
Thanks for the suggestion...I am going to try not to freak out.
