Had an ultrasound this morning couldn't find a heartbeat but it could be too early, looks good sitting high in the uterus with a white ring around it which they apparently like, yolk sack and tiny baby measuring 5wks 4 days which is about right, so now I have to wait another week or so to have another ultrasound to find a heartbeat, more bloods on Friday to check hcg rising, fingers crossed and loads of sticky baby dust please, I hope you are all traveling well and nausea is not keeping you down

Morning all, just a quickie on my way out to work.

Welcome Dantri! Glad to hear about your BFP (we know it's one even if DH doesn't )

I'm off to my Mum's for a few days to celebrate her 60th. We've just got through the few days of celebrating DS's 2nd birthday and Mummy is completely knackered. Life is good, baby is growing, unfortunately so are the numbers on the scales, I wish they wouldn't (but then, a healthy pregnancy requires some weight gain!)

Lots of sticky baby dust to throw around in here, take care of yourselves girls and I shall check in after the weekend.

Dantri good to see you darl... Congrats on your bfp. Xxx

Loops how was your holiday? Where did you go? Did you have fun?

    Hi to everyone else xxxx

AFM ... Bubs has been quite quiet today... I'm sure it'll make up for it tonight whilst I'm trying to sleep. I don't mind though the feel of it is amazing. Love it.

I've booked a scan through a private scan place that does 3d imaging etc... At $250 for the package it better be good and bubs better show us his or her bits lol

It does include momentos and dvds etc... Good to bring our parents as well so they can see

Anyways hope you're all well... Will be back for more in depth persies when I get on a computer. Off to cook dinner now. Xx

Blondtress- Over here in the states they refuse to do ultrasound until your 6 weeks so there is a HB for sure. They dont like to freak the mothers out...it is way to early. Like Cheshire said..you will hear it

Cheshire- I love the pics on FB of your new one! Can you believe it..almost a year ago we were in the TTC thread together wondering if our eggy was preggy and now you have a little one!!

    Loops- Yay1 Almost 9 weeks

WB- Dont worry about the scale...just think..you are so close to your new baby!

Lysndan- I hope the scan goes well for you and baby cooperates

AFM- I am in the part of my pregnancy I dont like...week 23-27. I just want to make it too week 28 so I can feel safer if bubs was to come early. Due to the nature of my uterus and there not being a lot of room for baby I always worry about preterm labor around now...

Thanks mummas for the welcome. Alisha, sorry to hear you go. Good luck!

I'm ticking along. I can't believe I found out this early symptoms are slowly starting to get more regular which is nice. Still jus over 3 weeks till our first scan. Crikey!

Good friends of ours have just announced that they're preggers. They know about our mc and called DH before announcing it on fb which was nice as we'd planned to do the same with them as they've had to go almos straight to ivf for her medical reasons. They are due about a month before us, if this bub sticks.

I'm really happy for them but still find it difficult itms. Even though I've got my BFP I should have a belly. Our baby should be older. When we visit them in hospy, I should already have a baby! Instead I'm stressing about whether or not I'll have to give my family bad news at Christmas time and spend the holidays grieving. I mean I'm being positive but I've been jibbed before you know. I'm trying to keep focused on my baby now and seeing this babys heartbeat in a few weeks and kissing this little babies soft little head in a few months. But dammit, no one
Else should be allowed to get preggers before I have a positive 12 week scan!! Lol. I know ridiculous.

Aaaarrrgghh. Just needed to get that of my chest guys, sorry for the me me me!

Hey dantri. That's totally understandable hun. And I know your still thinking what could have been? That's normal. Fx this bubba is a sticky one... And that you can relax soon. Are you getting any monitoring done this time ? Eg repeat hcg and progesterone or more frequent scans? It's ok to ask this from your doctor, given that you've had a loss before I'm sure they'll understand. Xx hugs xx

Thanks. I'm not going to get bloods done, it wouldn't have changed anything last time anyway because my body still thought I was pregnant with a growing bubba until the 12 week scan showed otherwise. And I'd completely obsess over them. I am getting an earlier scan though but we're going to wait until 8 weeks so there should def be a heartbeat or not. I couldn't stand 'waiting and seeing' so don't want to go earlier. Also bubs stopped growing last time around 6-7 weeks so want to wait until we are over that age. I'll wait and see how I feel about a 10 week scan but think I might stick out the 4 weeks in between so I can get a 14 wk scan just before we tell everyone. I'm still nervous that after the 12wk scan something could go wrong and then it'll be like last time where we'll tell the fam at Xmas only to have to untell them a couple of weeks later. So scans at 8, 12 and 14/15 weeks. Is that ott?

I'm also worried for my friends that they've announced before their 12 week scan. Even though they've seen the heartbeat etc. Given my experience I'm still worried. As if I didn't worry enough before all this TTC and getting pg guff. Holey moley, only going to get worse though isn't it, being a mum.

Well I went to my follow up appt at the hospital this morning to the early pregnancy assessment service and wasted 1 hr 45 mins of my time, I had told the dr at emergency it would be too soon after my u/s on Tuesday but I went along anyway, only to be told it's too early for another u/s, it was like they had to justify their existence, so glad I'm going through a private obstetrician and not the midwife service at my local hospital, I'm off to the GP at lunch to have so bloods taken though to make sure hcg is rising. I know they could still be rising even if I have miscarried but it will be nice for some short term reassurance before yet another 2WW til my next u/s. At least all the symptoms are still there, I am so hungry all the time, if I don't have food in my mouth I feel sick, so tired, sore boobs, hurt myself at work the other day pulling my chair it is got caught on the floor mat and I have strained my sacroiliac joint - not fun!
I'm hoping you are all well and gearing up for all our scans soon xxoo

Dantri- Thats how I was after my second miscarriage...with this bub I refused hcg bloods as I knew if it was to happen..it would happen. This time around I am feeling things will go so much better for you! Are you going to get more ultrasounds though in the beginning?

Well I got the bloods back from yesterday and they seem to be rising well - 55300 from 27384 on Monday, crossing everything this means it is going really well, have now booked another u/s for Tuesday morning so I will be 6 wks 6 days and hoping for that heartbeat!
