    Hi There,

I'm in Tassie to and if I wanted an extra scan, I could just go to my GP and ask him to give me a form. Obviously you will have to pay for it tho. I know my SIL had an extra scan just because!
Hahaha! Thats if you can get into a GP

Mel, why don't you get one of those intelligender thingybobs? I know theyre not 100% accurate but you could just tell yourself that if it says girl you'll accept and move on and if it says boy......... DEMAND ANOTHER U/S!! haha!

our sonographer is awesome and has been doing it for well over 20 years, he did DDs scan and was right, he did the scan for this one and was even more sure BUT he did admit that to his knowledge he had been wrong ONCE! I have kinda comitted to the sex of this baby and i think il will be truely shocked if it comes out different!
They do get it wrong sometimes, and like everyone has said its easier to be told a girl and have a boy appear!

If it does turn out to be a boy you have to share your girls name cause im very curious!

Nah too expensive - and aren't they only good in the first trimester?

Bec - haha curious ay? Well its not that interesting.. probably more interesting than Eden though If you did enough searches through the baby name part of the forum you would find it cos I've talked about it before

i think the only way to know 100% is to see it for yourself in the flesh, i dont believe in HR or craving, the way the mum carries etc...

FWIW for both DD's we DTD the night before ovulation, which if correct is 'ment' to more likely to produce a boy well we got two girls

just wait til bubs is born, maybe 'he' wants to surprise you

From what I have read of those gender tests, its just draino LOL.. I even just looked onthe website for that brand & ther eis a video of a chick "endorsing" the product. But when you actually watch it on you tube, it turns out the test was wrong LOL.

So do you have any bum shots from teh ultrasound?

Mel, my 1st and 3rd pgs were identical in terms of how I was feeling, the symptoms I had and a few other things, but 1 was a boy and 3 was a girl. I was erring on the side of having another boy too, but nope, she was a she. If getting another scan if going to be too hard for you, I'd juts try to come to terms with bubs being a girl for now, but hold off on buying anything JIC she does end up being a boy

Oh, I hope she's a he and is just being cheeky!

lol if ultrasounds are too darn expensive, perhaps my idea is out of the question! I was going to suggest fly Brissie (or wherever they have them) and have a 3D one done!

Ive had several u/s this time round, and with most of them the DR, as it was done at the hospital wasnt certain on what our bub was but gave us what he thinks it might be. He too also mentioned to me that he had only ever been wrong once. lol. Anyhow my last u/s last week at 29 1/2wks along, he gave me a more definate answer. He also said that I can exchange bub if he turns out wrong. lol.

    Scans are not 100% accurate.

Friend just had her 2nd told at 20 weeks she is having a boy, at 33 weeks (low liying placenta) she is told its a girl and it was a girl!

My aunt was told after having 2 girls that she was now pregnant with a boy, so she chucked all the girl stuff in glee because she was finally getting the boy she wanted. Baby's born - GIRL.

This was 35 odd years ago though. But it happens

Scans def can be wrong. It happened to my gf twice! She was told a girl and they named her so all through her pg they were buying things for their girl...on the big day out popped a little boy Bailey!! We were all so surprised!!! Then it happened again in her second pg! Said girl at scan but it was a boy!
    Sorry to add more confusion!!

Mel, get a 3D/4D scan done at 32 weeks then you'll know for sure!!! We did with DD just to double check she was actually a girl LOL!! And because those scans are awesome to see bub's face etc!!
