Unfortunately if you are wanting a VBAC, then you wont be able to have an induction, so you will have to be prepared to go up to 14days past dates, and then the only induction you are likely to have available to you is having your waters broken (ARM) or sometimes you can have a balloon catheter inserted to help open the cervix, but 'traditional' induction methods will carry a very high risk, and therefore not recommended. If you are really adamant that you want a VBAC, then you really need to prepare yourself for it, and that includes dealing with coping going past dates.
