    stabbing pains normal?

    Hey everyone,

Just wondering if getting stabbing type pains in the lower abdomin normal for this stage in pregnancy? These vary in intensity from mild to quite sharp which make me say ouch out loud. No blood or anything just pain.

    Is this normal?

    Hi Nae-

I was getting these pains around the same time you are now... My GP said they were normal as the uterus is stretching and pulling causing these "stabbing" like pains... As long as there is no blood then should be ok... If your too concerned i would suggests a visit to the GP or MW... Best be safe...

    Hope all goes well

    Hi Nae
This is very common. It is caused by everything growing and stretching. Providing that there is no bleeding then everything is ok

I've been getting a "stitch" type pain the past few days too but it goes away after a while, Nae. Always something to worry about! Thanks Alan, for your reassurance!
