I had blood tests looking for gluten anti-bodies which came back negative. The only way to diagnose celiac is through a biopsy of the gut whilst you're still eating gluten. I gave up gluten and couldnt bring myself to go back on for a diagnosis. For me, the pain of a gluten attack is horrific, like someone is stabbing me and ripping my insides apart. I wasn't going to endure that for 3 months for a test. I just accept I'm gluten intolerant without knowing if I've celiac.
The fatty liver from celiac disease is a sign of malnutrition, as the gut cannot absorb nutrients.
Sorry to hijack. I'm not a doctor. There are other reasons for fatty liver. I just know celiac is one of them and that pregnancy can exacerbate symptoms.
