I had it bad last time and also this time... (and yes my DS was born witha full head of thick hair..)
I agree with the others - do not lie down/recline after eating. there is a good yoga pose to go into after you eat that keeps you upright.
In terms of meds, there are alot of over the counter that are safe. the best ihave found for me so far are TUMs. I basically clear out any store i find that stocks them! last time i used mylanta tabs and liquid and they were ok. i bought rennie in an emergency this time and they are good too.
in terms of natural therapy i have alse tried umeboshi plums (japanese pickled plums) - some people swear by them. i found them ok - not amazing biut not completely useless so this couldbe a good option as well.
I was SO GLAD it was instantly gone when DS was born!
