Do you know where your placenta is located? It could be anterior so bubs kicks would be cushioned by the placenta.

Good point Deeanne - I forgot about that. Laura I have/had an anterior placenta which explains my irregular kick feelings early on.
I was getting worried last week cause i was only feeling the baby a couple of times a day rather than regularly and the kicks were quite gentle.
Then Sunday it had a marathon session while i was at the movies (with an icy cold drink) and again yesterday for no particular reason with more regular movemnets felt in between these times. I guess it just needed a few days of quite time probably for a growth spurt.
I have noticed in general this baby doesn't kick as much but if i rest for a bit i find i feel alot of movement of the baby turning etc rather than kicking. It's not noticable when your moving or concentrating on something else.
