I had a low lying placenta, this was picked up at my 20 week scan. I was to have another scan at 32-34 weeks to check the position. At 31 weeks I had a bleed and was told to stay at home and rest and no more dtd. At 33 weeks I had a large bleed and was kept in hospital until 35 weeks when I had a planned caesarian and DS was born with no complications. I think what happened to me is not common and I don't want to scare you but that is what BB is about, getting as much info as you can. I just wanted the baby to be born safely and having a caesar meant that he would be born without any stress. I would have a c/s again in a heartbeat in the same situation. That is just my opinion and am sure you will make the right one for you & your baby in your situation.
