    Red face personal question..

    Good morning ladies,
i have a question that im hoping none of you judge me for lol, coz i have no one else to ask.
My DH and i are pretty "out there" with our sex life, alot motre out there than most of our friends. We use sex toys, well i guess you could that i am the only one who uses them, lol, but to the point,.. will this harm our baby? im more concerned about the vibrations than anything. obviously when my DH is home i dont use them as often but the weeks that he's away i may use it about 4 or 5 times.
again im sorry if i offended anyone but i have no where else to go to ask a question like this one...
    thanks for your help xxx

Dont be embaressed!!! I have been wanting to ask the same question!!!

And I have another one to add. Again really embaressing. and probably a really really stupid question.. Ok so here goes.. When me and DF DTD it is fairly vigorous and fast ok so what i want to know is and i feel stupid even saying it but it has been bothering me so much i have actually stoped DTD because of it which is leading to using the toys more, its just one big cirlce! anyway my question - can the baby be "shaken" up too much by this? As in - can the baby get shaken baby syndrome whilst it is inside me? I feel like an idiot even asking. But it is really really playing on my mind. I just feel like my poor little baby is getting tossed about all over the place in there...

Ok Stevie... now we can be mortified together!!

No don't think it will hurt but in your later 2nd trimester and third trimester I would try not put too much pressure or friction on your cervix. It might not make any difference either way but I wouldn't risk doing any damage to the cervix but that would be my only concern if I were you when using toys.

Don't worry about your baby. Thats what the amniotic fluid is there for as a cushioning and the things you let go (your hormone things can't remember the name for it) is a relaxant for the baby so it probably enjoys it.

Guys I DTD through 3 kids & it wasn't always gentle. I've also used toys often (Thats more embarrassing to admit than I thought!) & all my kids are fine.
As someone said, just be gentle with your cervix.

I also used toys throughout my pregnancy - particularly towards the end where DTD can be so hard it makes you think you should join Cirque Du Soleil

Also we always have quite vigorous sex....

As long as your not in pain or feeling discomfort you'll be fine

Like the others have said I doubt it will cause any harm but I would be a little more careful with how deep you use it during the later part of the second tri or early in the third tri for the reasons already mentioned about the cervix.

I guess the closer to due date you get it will help you out a bit to get things rolling

I have to admit I am jealous ... I cannot do ANYTHING and have been given strict instructions to not do ANYTHING (not even for a little self satisfaction) man I am going to be so edgy by the time bub comes

Oh no Nae! You poor honey!

Well... I have used toys pretty much throughout all of my pregnancies and all my babies are ok... none of them have stutters (which is what my friend thought might happen because of the vibrating! lol)
Dh & I are never really gentle during sex... he tries to be but hey. The worst thing that has happened to me was some spotting afterwards and a UTI. I do say it is better to err on the more gentle side though just in case. There is no risk to the bub... think about how much movement is involved in just walking... Bub is cushioned by the amniotic fluid around him/her.

Keep enjoying your healthy love lives

NaeNae - That sucks! Hopefully you loose your sex drive and it doesnt bother you too much. It will be worth the restraint when you meet your beautiful bubba

Thanks for all the advice guys! I feel a whole lot better about it all now! and i am sure DF will be thanking you all for putting my mind at ease also!

Now we just have to figure out the logistics of how to actually do it without ending up in tears of laughter like last time!! There should be a Karma Sutra invented for pregnant women!! I have not found ANY comfy positions yet!

LaDeeDa, Cirque du soleil. I was making a joke about that the other night with DH.Its a good thing we have relaxin when we`re UTD.

Like others have said just go gentle on your cervix, you dont want to go stirring things up in there.

Also dont be embarrassed, use Mr Buzzy with pride. Some people dont know what they`re missing

I have already forgotten!! I am quite massive already - and havent seen my vajutz in 6 weeks at least! Nor has DF for that matter! Down side to me not being able to see it - is that i cant maintain it either!! I am so sure i am going to get a notice from the council about the forested area being too overgrown and now causing a hazzard!!!
