    Wedding Attire ?! Help !

    Hi All,

I have a wedding to go to in May and I have only looked in a couple of maternity stores in the CBD (sydney) and they really didnt have anything nice .... just wondering if anyone knows of anywhere good in Sydney or outer Sydney (I live out near Camden) of places to get decent formal clothing for a wedding .... I woudl actually like to looka bit stylish and all I have seen so far are frock or potato sack like tops ... not stylish at all ...

    Ta heaps

Good luck with getting something out here, it's almost impossible. I think the closest you'll find anything would be Wollongong way, I know there are some maternity shops near North Beach. Otherwise a great asset would be the Sacha Drake 7 ways dress, it's awesome!! It looks fantastic, is really comfy & the best thing is you can wear it after pregnancy. I love mine & have worn it heaps of times. Just google it & you'll see

Depending on your size Autograph (formally 16-26) has nice clothes that work well as maternity wear. The fashion this year is well suited to it in fact.

There are some good bridal shops in Parramatta Westfields that stock lovely things for weddings. Not sure if it would be useful. Also, there are some lovely breastfeeding/maternity dresses available from online sellers. Maybe you could do a search?

    Hope this helps!

Hi Melsta, not sure if you looked in the maternity shop in the Picadilly Centre in Sydney?? They have quite a few nice dresses in there. Also there is a little maternity boutique in Carlton- just off the Princess Highway, which has a few nice dresses and other mat clothes. That's where i got my dress for a wedding and boy was i searching forever!! They had the same dress in the shop in the city-a satin halter neck- didnt look too dressy, just right i think!!! And had lots of room!! And they have lots of colours- i dont like wearing black to a wedding.
GL finding something, shoes are hard too because you dont want to go too high!!

I had a wedding to go to in Jan when I was about 30 weeks preg. I bought normal clothes (not maternity) to wear but just a few size bigger. There seems to be alot of styles there now that crunches at the bottom of the boobs and flows straight down so perfect for pregnant chicks like us.

Infact, most of my clothes are non maternity.
