When I was pg with my twins I felt like a freak show near the end. I was admitted a week before I had them for pre eclampsia. The Thursday before the obs came in and said right you are going to meet your bubbbas next Tuesday. I explained to him how I felt like the bearded women and he wrote at the front of my file that under no circumstances was anyone to discuss my c section including the day in front of visitors. And believe me my visitors tried!! They would try and sneak a look at the notes when the staff came in and one cousin saw the note at the front page and went all read in the face. Hehe I think he got the message.
With ds3 was having contractions for two weeks before ds3 arrived I was even admitted over night but the only people the new where the ones that would never show up at the hospital during labour. My mum was threatening to coming and wait .... No thanks!
Unplug the phone. Don't answer the door. And if all else fails tell them to mind their own F$&@ing business!
Zap - I was just about to ask whether your family was Italian, then I saw your kids names!
With DD1 she was a little over a week early and I didnt get a chance to tell anyone I was in labour.
With DD2 I was only 2 days off my EDD and people were constantly asking and telling me to make sure I get to hospital.
When I went into labour only my mum knew (she was staying with us and had DD1), I msgd 2 mg girls and no-one else found out til after she was born.
I kept telling ppl, you will find out when she's here. Don't push it.
Sent from my iPhone, more than likely while I should be doing something else!
Im lucky in that this is # 5. Being most relative know I will tell them how it is & just say F off LOL. Then you have those who don't care cause its baby #5. Most of mine & DH's family got bored with the whole Fiona's having a baby thing by #3.
There is just 1 Aunt of DH's that keeps sending my FB messages. I only really met her properly a week ago! I knew I would regret adding her on FB but thought it would be rude to not respond to the friend request. DH thinks she is just trying to bond.
