I have looked at the spinning babies website and i did try some positions but they havent helped. I forgot to mention that.
Be persistant, always sit forward down lie back on couch etc, etc, it wont work overnight. You still have a few weeks up your sleeve. There are other things you can try, but i'm not sure of the specifics, someone else will pop in i am sure.
You'll probably find the thing they'll be more concerned about with a transverse bub at this stage is cord prolapse. If your water breaks while baby is transverse the risk of prolapse is one to consider.
I had this situation with my second child and I was told that if he wasn't head down properly by 35 weeks I should think about going into hospital - but this was only because my first labour started with waters breaking at 36 weeks. So I wouldn't imagine it would be an issue so early for women who don't have a history of early-ish labour.
Being transverse, your bub is halfway to head down already (and if as you say he alternates still he will most likely get his head down in time for you to avoid a c/s)

Re the spinning babies stuff - you need to do the exercises persistently a few times a day and sometimes it can take quite a few weeks. Keep at it![]()
Hi,
I had my appointment today and um he is laying with his head under my right ribs and bum firmly wedged in my left hip... The dr doesnt think he is going to turn in time, im still thinking positively and trying to turn him. Hopefully he will turn, just thinking positive these days....
Thanks!
Hi,
I am not in the same position as you..I have a frank breech bub..and he/she has been that way since week 25. At week 36, my OB did the manual turning thing (ECV) and the bottom was so firmly wedged (had been sitting there for 11 weeks!) that a caesar is booked for the 16th of June!
No, it was not my first preference...but I would rather the child healthy especially as it is my first one!
Anyway, if I go into labour it is an emergency CS....
Head is weill and truly stuck under my ribcage!
